Upgrade domain CUCM 8.6.2 level

Hello

We lack a level of Windows 2008 domain at the moment with CUCM 8.6.2 and LDAP synchronization. We would like to upgrade to domainlevel 2008R2.

I don't think that this will cause no problems because I'm under 2008R2 in my lab too, but just to be sure that this will have an impact on a lot of phones. There may be potential problems? Everything I need to know, or just a simple upgrade, which would have no impact on the CUCM?

Thank you for a short answer

Hello

Switching the domain functional level upwards or a forest will have no effect on the integration of LDAP.

    Hello

You will need to download the utility to the cisco site license number.

    File name
    LCUZIP - Ver9.1.2.zip

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/support/unified-communications/unified-Comm...

Run on PC whre Editor is reachable.the file would be a consiting of CUCM MAC address, IP address, csv file installed DLU, DLU used / Unnused DLUs, licenses of BASIC/Essential, UCL Enhanced, CUWL standard etc.

Connection to the first License Manager, after having successfully migrated from 8 to 10

Use the following procedure to generate a licence application.
    1. connect to first Cisco Manager of licenses.
2 in the license > Fulfillment page, select generate license request in the drop-down under
    Other treatment Options.
    3. the license request window and next steps appear. Copy the selected text in your Clipboard or click
Save it in a file on your PC and send it to [email protected] / * / to obtain the permanent license.

  • Upgrade of CUCM 7.1.5 to 9.1 (contract No. UCS and ESW)

    Hello

We have CUCM 7.1.5 cluster (two servers) without contract UCS and ESW.

What would be the better and way cheaper to upgrade to CUCM 9.1.

We intend to use our VMWare system and only buy the CUCM 9.1 software (not servers).

The current DLU is trensfered or should we buy everything from scratch.

    Kind regards.

Demont - my friend, how have you been? I hope you do well!  Very nice to see you

always help others - keep it! (+ 5)

    Kasper,

As my friend that Demont said accurately, you contact your partner Cisco Channel/Account Manager. I just wanted to add, you can migrate DLU, but like with CUCM9, you have only UCL or CUWL - according to the type of license you select UCL/CUWL, you will need to purchase additional licenses and buy the UCS. But having said that you can benefit from Cisco in the car at 9 and can buy this at a really discounted price. Your Cisco representative can explain all the options in detail.

    Thank you

  • Upgrade of CUCM CUCM 9.1.2 7.1.5

We have CUCM 7.1.5 server cluster four on hardware servers. Recently, we have planned to spend this cluster in CUCM 9.1 on VMWare.

If we install CUCM 9.1 on VMs and make necessary configuration, can we obtain the required Cisco license? We have UCS for this cluster CUCM

We do not anticipate making Linux-to-Linux updated because we need some configuration changes in the new cluster CUCM. So our plan is to do a fresh install of CUCM 9.1 on VMs and migrate exsisting license for it.

can someone explain how we should get a license for the new version and what will be needed for this?

    Thank you

I did the same upgrade path. After opening a case on [email protected] / * /, they will tell you to use a tool called the number of licenses of Cisco utility that will generate a report. So you send this report to Cisco and that they convert the existing licenses to be used on ELM. You can check the process on the attached PPT.

  • Is there a way to upgrade from Standard to Premium partner levels?

If a partner seizes to the standard level and then wants to go to the premium level, is there a process and have the cost of work to make a difference in the plans?

    Hello

Yes, all you have to do is reach out to our team of accounts by logging a ticket (Portal-> help & support) when you are ready to move from standard to premium.  You will only need to pay the difference during the upgrade.

  • Upgrade CUCM 9 to 10

While I intend to improve CUCM from 9 to 10, understand that I need to generate the v9 ELM licence application and send to Cisco to generate the v10 license key.

Would like to confirm the license generate demand can be performed on CUCM v9 ELM before moving on to v10 PLM.

    Your inputs are appreciated!

    Roy

    Hi Roy,

It is not so with CUCM9.

After u upgrade to CUCM 9, you must share the generated CUCM9 file so that you can obtain the permanent license file.

You need to share the file LCU before migrating to CUCM9. This file contacted PUB CUCM 7/8 to get the number of users of BASIC/Essential/CUWL Std.

  • RTMT CFS alert critical after upgrade to 7.1.5.34900 - 7 CUCM

I just upgraded our CUCM 11 Server 7.1.3 to CUCM 7.1.5.34900 cluster - 7, which was on the whole successful

However, I am now regularly get an alert every hour about RTMT associated with CSA (see text below). Each alert always coming from the editor and returns to the other servers in the cluster, but not necessarily the same server. I restarted the publication server, which made no difference. As far as I know, there is no impact, it's just a little embarrassing to see the alerts are displayed.

    Has anyone seen something similar?

I'll happily re - start the entire cluster once more if I thought it might solve the problem, but our process of internal change to a server re-boot is a pain I want to avoid!

  • CUCM 9.1.2 to 10.5 upgrade

    Hi all

I tested reclassification CUCM 9.1.2 to 10.5 in my lab. As I read before, we need some COP files to download CUCM before the upgrade procedure.

Cisco has named this upgrade as , and during this process, version RHEL modernize also with CUCM version.

On my test, I do not download any file of the Conference of the parties before the upgrade. Uprade to version 10.5.

Before upgrading my RHEL version was 5 (32-bit), and after the upgrade, it is 6(64 bit).

After upgrade, everything seems ok, but upgrade took a long time, like 4 hours.

During the upgrade, there is no link with CUCM and blue screen, I saw :)

What is your opinion? This method works on the customer's environment?

    You test this procedure before?

    Best regards

    Mesut

    Hi Martin,

I have never upgraded of CUCM 9 to 10 but made a migration of CUCM 7 to 9, which took nearly 7 hours for a single server. So, if you have two servers in a cluster, your time would be app.13 to 14 hours, which of course depends on your /configs DB.

In addition, I was checking the upgrade path for the files of the Conference of the parties, but I have found no such requirement CDP file before the upgrade of CUCM 10 of 9.1.2

  • CUCM 9.1.2-> 10.5 failure (2)

    Hi all

    I am trying to upgrade our CUCM 9.1.2 (SU2)--> 10.5 (2) (UCSInstall_UCOS_10.5.2.10000 - 5.sgn.iso)

I believe that I made the requirements of upgrade:

    • Our equipment is Cisco UCS with old 'Medium' UCS tested baseline for 2500 users. Each node has 2 x vCPUs.

    • 9.1.2 (SU2) tp 10.5 (2) is described as a "Direct Upgrade.

    • I have / had at least 30 GB of free in the common partition on each node

    • ciscocm.Version3 - keys.cop has been installed on all nodes

    • I have not installed the file COP refresh_upgrade, I'm upgrading to 9.1.2 (i.e. no pre version 8.5)

    • The specification of the virtual machine meets all the conditions for 10.5 (2)

Installation goes for about 1.5-2 hours before it is "Post-installation" tasks where is fails at the point 6 or 6 of "Installation component database.

    E installation log shows:

It seems very similar to the Cisco support forum question: https://supportforums.cisco.com/printpdf/12334191; However, I was able to remove the AUNP numbering plan; I suspect because I have a number of models road, use it and do not want to delete.

I have improved the numbering plan in an attempt to address the issue, but the upgrade still does not work.

Any ideas would be very appreciated.

    Thank you

    Kent

I encountered this problem on several upgrades and still fear to see a xxNP in use, how I work around this problem is by exporting the bosses of the route, Bulk Administration > export and select from there.

TAC will then need to get Root access to remove the xxNP (all) and then the upgrade will succeed.

Once the upgrade is complete and you have installed the xxNP that you need then to export models of road again from the Server v10.x because you will need to change the header.txt stored in the .tar file. Copy "CCM: master - 10.5.1.11901 - 1.i386' 10.x export item and replace the one exporting 9.x."

You can then import the 9.x CUCM CUCM 10.x road models

    Hope this helps,

    Richard

This is the best you can get for the socket you have.

One you have the base frequency is 2.90 GHz and turbo is 3.50 GHz with 1 MB of L2 cache.

  • CUCM NTP

We have recently upgraded to CUCM 11.5. Time of his installation, our provider part a ntp server we do not. Once I found out, I gave him the correct IP address and he entered this one in. I asked him if we could remove the original that he came and he told me that if we did, we would have to re - authorize the server. All our phones are grabbing the time elapsed between the wrong server. It is true that I have to re-license it if I delete this first address?

    Hello

with 11.5 you would be running PLM, there is no need to re - host licenses for changes in NTp. But before making any changes just NTP for the love of attention, delete the instance of PLM product and add the same.
