  Only about a dozen portable models ever with interchangeable graphics, and IBM/Lenovo have never sold any of them. The only way is to buy a replacement with the 520M already integrated motherboard or get a docking station with better graphics, if available. The 520 M is certainly NOT worth the hassle of replacing everything, is only 50% more powerful.

  Only due to the fact that the new processor takes in charge the 2.6 Ghz instead of 2.2 Ghz?

  To be honest, you will notice no no performance gain after these updates.
  Of course, the processor is faster, but would not really noticeable.

  In addition, you should know that a CPU upgrade on laptop is very complicated.
  First disassembly of the laptop is really complicated. It may be damaged other parts during disassembly procedure and more, you will lose the warranty.

  Theoretically, this processor should be compatible, but as much as I know the Toshiba does not support updates and there could be a conflict of BIOS.

  So I would not recommend these updates.

  I don't know about other issues. There are always 'problems' with any upgrade. You weigh against the benefits. I know that you need more RAM. At least 4 GB, maybe more if you can. Don't forget that this system is produced at a time when most of the machines have + 8 GB RAM and when Apple said 'minimum' they really mean it.  I recently inherited a MacBook that has 2 GB of RAM and the Mavericks. When I checked the memory, the use of the system was using 1.95 GB = nothing to run applications!

  Processors that are listed in the specs are those that have been fully tested to ensure that they will work without problem.  Does this mean that other processors don't work no - No!  However, this does not mean that you are yourself if you decide to try which is not on the list.  I've heard of cases where processors that were not on the list has worked, but there is certainly no guarantee.  The main thing you have to look at is the TDP.  It must match.

  Updated for intel T9300 as reference. probably could support the x 9000, but it was much more expensive is not a value

  -Memory:

  I was skeptical with past more than 4 GB, however, currently functioning 6 GB (2 X 4). foung are not accidents of errors due to modules. Works perfectly.

  . After these updates, I installed small SSD, which added to the startup that gave more boost to the system.

  Conclusion:

  This unit of 8 years demonstrated startup, transformation and loading speeds that could be compared to couple of old machines, 6 GB working memory space that can accommodate witout heavy programs using the file (actually disabled) Exchange and on the storage of Tera bytes to store every necessary thing making the year becomes mordern General phone use.   Generally it is not possible to upgrade the CPU because of several reasons.
  But as far as I know that different Qosmio F20 models were shipped with these processors:
  Intel Pentium - M 1.60/1.73/1.86/2.00/2.13GHz
  Intel Celeron - M 1.40/1.50GHz

  For all other owners L30, my L30 - 10 v has been improved by me to the following specification while I owned it:

  Intel Core Duo T2450 bus of 2 GHz 533 mhz cpu (faster processor you can use in the L30 psl33e)
  2 GB DDR2 667 mhz Ram (1 x 1 GB Kingston, 1 x 1 gb Kingmax) - with no problem and works fine at 667 mhz.

  Motherboards intel more modern should easily accept a 800 mhz cpu, but I cannot guarantee. May be an idea to see if you can find out if there are other models of Toshiba L40, also with 800 mhz chip, because it would be a good indicator.

  And if I can't pass a T2310 because of the 800 mhz too is their a 533 mhz cpu that will be compatible & more powerful for audio production that my current Ghz CPU T2310 1.46.

  I've only had this PC 4 years again, it seems not to be very mobile friendly if this resource could not be designed to handle upgrades.

  You can remove your AMD A4 processor and install a
