• Khmer Script Justification in InDesign CS6 broken

  Hello

  One of the best features of InDesign for me personally it was his ability to justify properly script Khmer (Cambodian). I used InDesign CS5.5 for awhile and have never had a problem (using the script here: http://www.thomasphinney.com/2009/01/adobe-world-ready-composer/ to the composer in the world).

  A few days ago that I upgraded to InDesign CS6 due to the characteristics of the e-book, but to my dismay, InDesign CS6 is no longer justifies Khmer script correctly, but words the text page integer (and even shoots text outside the margin).

  Anyone can shed some light on this? Did I miss any preference or something that needs to be enabled?

  This was confirmed as a bug in InDesign CS6 by the Adobe creative team. Hoping it a patch will be released soon!

• InDesign CS6 and OpenGL 1.5 / image images grey out in INDML

  I work for a non-profit and I just upgraded to InDesign CS6 on my machine (signifcantly more robust). Now, their machine (significantly wimpier) must be upgraded as we too send INDD files back and forth on a monthly basis and the two sides only changes in the file. The INDML file I export out CS6 is grizzled on many related photos (but not all) when they read the file INDML with CS4.

  Two things:

  (1) upgrade the slower machine CS6 is the place, but the problem is that this computer has a graphics card that is only OPENGL 1.5 capable (GMA X 3100). The CS6 care state that you need a card that supports OPENGL 2.0. We can afford to replace the computer, therefore: I dream of turning photoshop CS6 on this old machine, but could operate InDesign cs6 on OPENGL 1.5?

  (2) if not, why are only some of the grizzled pictures outside in the INDML file? Can I repair this CS6 > CS4 question without upgrading to CS6?

  The requirements for ID standalone does not mention OpenGL at all. You can download a trial version and see how it works.

  . IDML does not include previews of link (it is one of the main reasons for the file is so small). Images that are emerging at the other end must be available for this ID can regenerate previews.

• Mini bridge InDesign CS6 missing after upgrade to InDesign Version 8.1

  I have discussed this same problem https://forums.adobe.com/message/5833991 after the upgrade to the previous version to version 8.0.2 of InDesign.

  After the upgrade to InDesign Version 8.1, Mini Bridge is no longer in effect.  Mini Bridge does not appear in the window menu and shift-click on the bridge icon opens the full-bridge, not Mini Bridge.

  The problem of the previous version 8.0.2, I could get the Mini Bridge by a reinstall of InDesign under the window Safe Mode.  Microsoft has changed somehow fashion safe and I can do is no longer reinstall mode without failure.  I tried several different ways to reinstall version 8.1, but none of them corrects this problem.  Still no Mini Bridge.

  Mini Bridge work in Photoshop CS6 without problem.

  I read through all the messages that seem to relate to this issue in this forum, but none of the suggested solutions for me work.

  Can someone provide me with an answer?  If this is not the case, how to get help from Adobe?  I'm willing to pay for support, if necessary.

  RESOLVED - I can't believe, but I actually understood it.

  Frustrated by going round in circles, I decided to dig into the security options.  First of all, I opened properties of windows from the start for InDesign icon.  I noticed immediately, under the Compatibility tab that InDesign has been configured to run in Compatibility Mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 3).  It doesn't look good, so I turned off the option to run in Compatibility Mode and handed on the way to the top of InDesign.  Low and behold, the option window. Mini Bridge displayed now!  And it worked!

• With InDesign CS6, I can't rework table to a file created in InDesign CS5.5.

  With InDesign CS6, I can't rework a table in a file created with InDesign CS5.5. Half of the table disappears when I try. No idea why?

  A screenshot would be useful, but it seems that the post will in excess.

  When you open a file in a version newer than the text not redial using the new text engine until you interact with it, somehow, but then recomposes it using the rules of text of the current version and reflow is normal, but often the results of changes for purposes of line that can cause oversets in tables or at end of chapter.

• Illustrated with icons CS5.5 InDesign CS6 files

  I recently installed CS6, I found myself with a lot of icon and extension problems, so I uninstalled CS6, ran Adobe Script cleaner and reinstalled. Everything is now in order except for one thing. The .indd files shows the CS5.5 instead of the CS6 icon. The standard program is set to InDesign CS6 (D:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe InDesign CS6\InDesign.exe). I also checked the registry and everything is in order.

  Open the file results in CS6 commissioning. So I don't know what is happening... But it's pretty boring, I just want everything to be in order. I even tried to download third party software like "FileTypesMan", does not. Does anyone know a clever work-around?

  It seems to have fixed itself, I don't know how or why. But when a miracle happens we don't ask questions. ;-)

• upgraded to CS6 in CS5.  now the two are running?

  I just upgraded to CS6 in CS5.  I was told by tech support that I would be prompted to enter my new serial number CS6 to start the download, and that I would be also asked to enter my CS5 serial number to activate the update of my existing software.

  I followed the step by step installation, but I was invited only to enter my serial number CS6.

  Installation is now finished and I now have versions both CS5 and CS6 running.

  Is this normal?

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Feel free to uninstall CS5. Just be aware that it will mess up the file associations, will not work if a double click to directly open a file for editing. If you do not need disk space, simply leave it in place.

  Why can I not use my Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium serial number to upgrade my Indesign CS3 for my Indesign bought CS6 upgrade. Answer "this serial number is not a product calling." Is it because I'm just upgrading Indesign not all of the suite?

  Suites can only be upgraded to suites. It has been that way forever. Contact support about return policies or, Alternatively, complete an update of the suite.

  I have a user with Adobe Production Premium CS5.5 installed.  They want to buy InDesign CS6.  ID CS6 will install and work properly if there is Adobe CS5.5 applications?

  Just upgraded to InDesign CS5.5 to take advatage of new digital publishing tools. Still on the trial version as the serial number of my master collection CS5 is rejected.

  You thought wrong. Suites can only be upgraded to suites. Read the fineprint and contact the sales support on product return policies.

  I currently use InDesign CS6 and Photoshop and Illustrator CS5 on a Mac and I'm looking to upgrade to the full package of CC. However, I want to transfer my Adobe software existing from my Mac to my colleague Windows PC so that I can use the latest version and that he will use my what I have at the moment. The alternative is obviously my colleague just bought the last packet CC on his PC and I continue to use the older software. However, I use the software significantly more than my colleague, and so it makes sense for me to have the latest version, while the slightly older versions.   If you have installed cs6 install the subscription, it will capture your license CS6. Common sense would have been to disable CS6 before install CC as CS6 contains its own (and better kind) CS6 software with more upgrades and possibilities than the old version in a box.

  If you can not install CS6 with your own serial number for this reason, you will need to contact Adobe to reset the activations.

  The version of InDesign CS6 perpetual license, you need, cannot be upgraded to 8.2.
