Original title: Service pack does not install it.
Hello
I had to restart my laptop (Windows Vista) to factory setting because the system has begun to slow down; I now can't install SP1, it appears on the new & new window updates and downloads in a few minutes. Although it does not install correctly.
I still can not download Norton because it requires service pack 1.

If you later reinstall OS and you install the drivers manually install the Service Packs right after OS reinstalled before installing any drivers. You can first install the drivers but it is better Service Packs first as sometimes when you install a Service Pack after the drivers, you can find some drivers do not work and you have to reinstall these drivers.
For people using the original image, your drivers are already installed then install Service Packs just after the factory restore before installing applications or devices or download Windows updates.
Service Packs using immediately also save hundreds of download of the updates of Windows first of all that all updates to the top until the release of Service Packs are included.

XPS 13 (9343) - unable to upgrade to Windows 10 - error 0xC1900101 0 x 30018
I have a brand new 13 XPS, 9343 model with i7 processor and 512 GB SSD. I'm still within the period of 14 days, and I'm now seriously returning. I've never known such a load of nonsense trying to install any other piece of software.
So far, and after many attempts, I was completely unable to upgrade to Windows 10. The first thing I did was to install all the Windows updates available for 8.1 (there were 79 of them), and immediately after that I started the saga to install Win10. Nothing else has been done to the laptop - no questionable software or USB devices (except the USB boot if necessary). It is in a State of cleanliness.
-After the download via Windows Update, the installation procedure is INCREDIBLY slow (for example, it takes 36 HOURS to reach 42% completion - and at this point, it hits the error message). What the heck can he do?
-J' also tried to create a bootable USB drive via the media creation tool. If I boot from the USB key and perform a "clean" installation, it works perfectly: it takes about 8 minutes total (which highlights how ridiculous the 36 hours). However, because it is a clean installation and not an 'upgrade', I find myself with a non-activated version of Windows 10 and I am asked to pay £99.99, I don't intend to do. I paid for the laptop on the understanding, he would get a FREE upgrade to Win10!
-J' also tried using the USB key (but not the start of it) to perform the upgrade in place - this strikes the same mistake as Windows Update (and taking so long)
-J' tried to uninstall all antivirus software, and disable all wireless/bluetooth devices before performing the upgrade - nothing of this aid. Because need me 36 HOURS per attempt, it is really not acceptable to try disabling things randomly in the vain hope that it might work correctly.
When trying to upgrade (i.e. not), I hit an error message "Windows Setup cannot set up Windows on your hardware" or similar. During the recovery after the failure, tool configuration gives the 0xC1900101 error code 0 x 30018 and says it failed in operation 'FIRST_BOOT', the phase SYSPREP. Just make this error message cost me 36 hours of waiting (welcome to the future!), then it would be really helpful if someone could give me a definitive answer on what makes...
Help, please! Auuughhh
Hello world
If you are affected by the issue in which your XPS 13 is not upgraded to Windows 10 and he is stuck or take several hours, PM me with your serial number.

Upgrade of Windows 10 - error 0xc7700112 Wizard
I upgraded this computer and redeployed twice to Windows 7, and I'm trying one last time to upgrade. I had problems with some drivers in Windows 10, but this time in Windows 7, I have applications crashing whenever they open, citing a flaw with ntdll.dll.
Given that I can't solve the first problem, I hope that the upgrade will fix it. Problem is that I'm one of three different error codes whenever I try.
Windows 10 Upgrade Wizard: 0xc7700112
From Windows Update: C0000374; C1900107
I ran sfc/scannow , passing without any problem.
Any IDE will be greatly appreciated!

Envy 17-k270: upgrade of Windows 10 - error c1900101-30018
Hello
I tried upgrading my laptop for Windows 10 several times and I get the following error message: c1900101-30018 and FIRST_BOOT SYSPREP. I tried to update through windows update and through the USB with no success so far. My last option will be to do a clean install of windows 10. I wonder if I will come through the same mistake by doing this.
Has anyone done a windows upgrade installation clean 10? Has anyone found a solution or workaround above?
Any help is very appreciated!
Thank you

Windows Vista Home Premium SP2, 64-bit operating system on a laptop HP DV6 with Internet Explorer Version 7 64-bit.
Whenever I start my laptop I get the message that I need to update, but when I try, it always gives me this error. "Windows could not find update to cause the error code".
I tried and tried to get updates on day of work will meticulously steps, turning and by deleting files, but whenever I try I get the Windows update 80070002 error and when I re - check the files that I just deleted, the files are back in data storage folder. How can I stay deleted so I can get updates to these files?
I googled for remedies but none worked. It must be a common problem and I do not understand why MS cannot repair online.
Thanks, Olypentax
I suspect that you currently see the effects of a hijackware infection, in which case you absolutely want to save all personal data (which none should be considered 100% reliable at this point) then format the HARD drive & make a clean install of Windows 7.
HOW to do a clean install of Win7: see "using the custom installation option" and formatting the hard drive section ofhttp://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Installing-and-reinstalling-Windows-7
Once installed the clean, you will have the equivalent of a "new computer" in order to take care of everything on the next page before connecting the machine to the internet or one local network (i.e. other computers) otherwise and before connecting a flash drive, card SD or any other external disk to the computer:
