upgrading a 32-bit vista computer to windows 10
I think to buy windows 10 to upgrade my old dell computer. Is it possible to do a clean install of windows 10 64-bit on a 32-bit computer?
Mike
If your hardware meets minimum care to win 10 (doubtful) and purchase a license to win 10 you can install own architecture whatever you like.
1 GHz processor or faster
1 GB of RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
16 GB of disk space available (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit) Graphical device DirectX 9 with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver Your processor (CPU) must support the following extensions: SSE2, NX, EAP |
Note the Extensions!

I have a computer running windows vista that I'm planning on upgrading to Windows 7. I will be transferring files and settings from my old computer running windows XP SP3. Can I make the transfer to the new computer before upgrade Vista to Windows 7 or should I first, up grade for Win 7, and then do the transfer? I also asked a previous question about the email, I use Outlook Express on the XP machine. What happens to the emails, settings, and contacts once I use Windows Vista and Win 7 easy transfer to the have Outlook Express? The new computer has Outlook 2003 is installed, all the settings will automatically go to this program?
Make the transfer later. Everything you do is do more work for the upgrade. It takes hours as it is. Please use the forums of office for questions by email. Click Office link in the banner at the top of the forum page.

When data were transferred from my vista computer to the new computer windows 7, firefox profile has not been transferred to the new computer. Because the profile has not been transferred, the Manager profile, or by typing in the default location doesn't give a result. All the info on the website of mozilla that I looked at the way in which the profiles doesn't seem to work. I can probably recover and make a copy of the profile of the old computer, but how do I know where to put it on the new?
Try to remove the profiles.ini file to force Firefox to create a new file profiles.ini and a new default profile.
- 'C:\Users\Peter\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\profiles.ini '.

Have not been able to install Canon MX860 on 64 bit Vista computer.
Have not been able to install Canon MX860 on the Vista computer. When I insert the disk it always says that I must be in a group of administrators who I am
Do not use the drivers on the disk. Click on the following link and use the drop down menu to select your Vista 64-bit operating system. Download the drivers. Make sure that the printer is not connected to the computer, and then double-click the downloaded file to start the installation. It will tell you when to connect the USB cable.

Windows Vista falls into disuse, some see it as obsolete by 2013 because Microsoft has dropped support for that office 2013, IE10 and IE11. The next version of Windows will be 10 Windows and install the Windows Build 10130 Insider, I recommend:
If you insist on the use of such an outdated Windows version while you use the WSUS Offline Update for patch. This will give you IE9, SP1, SP2 and all updates for Windows Vista. One no hotfix Windows Vista may have problems getting the update:

Standalone SP1, SP2, and IE9 can be found here:

How I can run on 64-bit vista premium theme hospital

Hello stephbond69,
Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.
It is a game that was intended for Windows 95, so I don't know if you will be able to install it on a 64 bit Vista computer.
However, you can try a few things.

Re: Run 32-bit games on 64-bit Vista Ultimate
Vista64 has a 32-bit compatibility layer to run 32-bit and 64-bit
Apps/games. A few tips for the games under Vista in general, do not install games
the default folder of Programs (X 86) as long as it is a protected and some
older games cannot write their save games here, install the latest version of
DirectX because Vista comes with Directx10 and a file is missing a few
older games need (install the latest version of Directx will put this file)
and in place) and some games need administrator
Access (right click the exe of the game and select run as administrator). Lack of admin
access may be your problem. I have HL2 on Vista64 and it works fine.http://PSX.IGN.com/objects/003/003747.html
It is the homepage for Theme Hospital.
I hope this helps with your question.
