  • USB cable for printer HP

Bought a printer there are 4 years, but never out of the box because I didn't have to replace the old printer (solved driver problem).  The 'new' printer is a HP Deskjet 3915.  Just opened the box to install it and found that it was not the USB cable (instructions stated that the cable may not be included).  I have several USB cables, but none that has an end that would fit in the HP printer.

I looked on the sites internet/HP printer and he never gave no specific information on the cable... said just a USB 'standard' preference under 3 feet long.   I found also the instructions to install the drivers for this printer model, but the information does not include Windows 7.

So my questions are: is there a standard USB cable that fits all HP printers, that I must ask a compatible HP printer USB cable?   I have to perform a control more to determine if this printer work with windows 7?

Solved!  Called BestBuy and found that the answer to my question USB: more "printer" USB cables are equipped with a standard connection with the printer.  Also, did a search on the internet and found that Windows 7 includes a driver for the printer HP deskjet 3915 color.

So my question is, ' how can I activate?  I am able to print from my computer to my printer.  I have a new computer HP with Windows 8.  I had to download the software from a link on this site to allow printing.

Also, I always have to use the Assistant configuration to my computer to print. I don't have to do it when I got to the computer.  Is there a way to fix this too

    Hello

    Please, try the following steps:

    • Click the icon of the printer on the desktop,
    • Click Manage scan of the computer,
    • Click Activate.

You can activate it at Windows startup. You may have run the following utility to fix this problem:

Please follow the instructions below and then tell me what happens.

Make sure that your computer has the latest Windows updates, especially of .net framework, necessary to run many applications and the latest Java.

    Unplug your printer.

Download and run this patch to completely remove the printer from your computer. Run the fix, a MUST on Vista machines, until it prompts you to restart your computer.

If you use Windows 7 also try... Driver Manual printer removal

    Restart your computer.

    Download the correct drivers.

    XP drivers

    Vista 32-bit drivers

    All other drivers

    Vista 64-bit drivers

Install the appropriate drivers. You will be asked when connect you your printer (power on)

To install the drivers, sometimes the file decompresses and does nothing. You must find the setup.exe file, right-click on it, then on the left click on run as administrator *.

If you use Windows 7, use the Vista drivers in compatibility mode.

Right click on the file setup.exe, on the left, click Properties, compatibility of the left click. Replace the Vista compatibility (try Vista SP2). Then, install the appropriate drivers. You will be asked when connect (printer)

To install the drivers, sometimes the file decompresses and does nothing. You must find the setup.exe file, right-click on it, then on the left click on run as administrator *.

In the digitization, if you have the disc that came with the printer, and then insert the floppy disk to the printer and keep it from running. Go to my computer and double-click it. Locate the drive that contains the disk Dell inside. Right-click on it, left click Explore. Find the folder of the OCR. In the OCR folder, there is a folder of Abbyy. Right click on setup.exe, which is located in the folder Abbyy and left, click Run as administrator. This will install the OCR program.

    Scanning

Scan using the USB connection, open the Dell all-in-one Center, click on the scan and copy and scan from there.

Scan wireless, use the buttons to scan on the printer.

    Rick

    Rick,

Thank you much for the help. I took your advice and installed the Vista SP2 drivers in compatibility mode, and when my laptop is connected to the printer via a USB cable, I can print.  Now, here's the best... Later, I decided to have the printer put in place for the wireless.

I tried to add a Dell network port, and then pass.  Did not work.  I tried also to add another printer by pointing to a shared printer on an XP computer.  I noticed one thing, it is that when the Dell printer software installed and prompted me to plug the printer into my USB port, it appeared that Windows snuck into another driver.  I saw a message saying that the printer was ready before the Dell software were made.  I also noticed that when I tried to create a new Dell printer two print drivers were available.

In any case, I followed your instructions to uninstall everything (ran program of uninstalling the Dell software, rebooted, ran the patch to clean, restarted), then ran the Dell program configuration of the software (in compatibility mode Vista x 64 SP 2) and chose an installation over the network instead of local installation. He saw the Dell printer on USB wireless adapter and installed fine.  Now, everything seems to work wireless.

I guess my point of view for writing is to warn that when you plug the USB cable during installation of Dell, it seems that Windows 7 is going to sneak in another pilot.  I also advise to install over the network if you want to try to use it wireless, rather than starting with the local USB installation and hope to switch to a network port later.  Thanks again for your message.

  • What should I buy to re - install my printer Dell all-in-One A960 Windows 8 after Windows XP?

My printer Dell all-in-One (purchases. 2004) has stopped working.  When you try to use, sign popped up "print spooler service does not work? This has happened a month after that I switched to Windows 8.  Dell said there is no software for this printer be re-installed Windows 8 and suggested that I buy a different printer.

I don't think that Dell should have the last word.  Any advice?  Can I buy drivers, other software?

    Thanks for your information.

    I suggest to try this:

    (1) unplug the printer from the power point

    (2) connect one end of the USB cable to the printer (if it is not already connected)

    (3) connect the other end to the machine using any free USB port

    (4) turn the printer by plugging the power plug

    (5) look at the screen to see if Windows indicates all compatible drivers

If this does not work then try to look for Windows7 or even Windows Vista drivers and then install. However, make sure that these drivers are from the DELL website if possible)

Good luck and hope it works.

  • PSC 1350 all-in-one: HP Director for PSC 1350 all-in-one - using Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello!  I recently had a new hard drive installed on my Samsung laptop year-and-a-half-year-old, as well as 10 (64-bit) Windows as well. Instead of using the original installation disc for my printer range all-in-one HP psc1350 (bought 1/2004), I have used your site and just did a download tonight HPPIW. EXE .  My question is: I do not see the original HP Director on the desktop now after the above file download. The copying, printing, scanning are all working well, if that's fine! So all the "Director" now wonder, if I can get in a way that - since the original my installation disc or HP support Web site? Thank you, CR-Issquah (26/08/2015, 21:00 - PT)

    Hello

HP Director has been supported only for your printer up to Windows XP, since Windows Vista full features software is no longer available for your printer, and there is no HP Director application or provided HP solutions Center.

You can follow the following document which lists no available workaround solution and the limitation of the provided solution:

  • Installation printer A920 all-in-one

I just bought a used, refurbished OptiPlex 755 PC with Win 7 OS and am trying to install my all-in-One A920 printer. This is the printer that came with (my Dell Dimension 2400 series) desktop I bought about 7 years ago. I downloaded and installed (or so I thought) a Vista 64 bit driver I've read on the Dell website is supposed to be compatible with my Windows 7 64-bit OS. I plugged my printer and opens the file. I thought it was going to guide me through the process of setting up, but he did not. My computer recognized my printer, and he let me even in the all-in-one program. I was able to scan a document in color (but it wouldn't let me save it), I was unable to copy or print documents, and the "empty cartridge" box came up saying that black inkjet cartridges and color were empty; they are not empty because I recently replaced both cartridges. I miss any step, or not to do something in the right order? The printer does not give me a lick of problems on my Dell PC with Windows XP. I don't want to have to buy another printer, if possible, any help you can give me would be appreciated! Thank you! p.s. I have not loaded MS word on my new computer, so I wonder if this has nothing to do with the printer does not. (??)

    monksplay,

The procedure is listed below. The OCR program, found on the disc from the printer, is required for scanning documents and fax.

First run, delete print jobs to eliminate any print job stuck in the queue.

    Unplug the printer.

Download and run the patch (cleaning printer utility) until it prompts you to restart your computer.

Restart your computer. Make sure that the printer is deleted. Driver Manual printer removal

Download the 32-bit drivers for Vista for Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit drivers for Windows 7 64 bit Vista. Install the Vista drivers in Vista compatibility mode, you will get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at the moment (power on).

You will find links to the patch/drivers to...

Owners of printer inkjet all-in-one Dell A920 thread (W7)

Don't forget the programs anti-virus and firewall will block communications.

I need to buy a usb cable for my ion vcr 2 pc

No matter what computer or electronics store or online.

Just make sure you have good connectors at each end, all type 2 and "gender".  The end that connects to the computer is called a Type A.  The plug that connects to the device vcr2pc may be a Type A, a mini-B, or (unlikely) a micro-B.

  • Cannot find driver for HP 2710 all-in-one anywhere that works.

I read the questions / answers on the printer drivers for my new laptop with Windows 7 and it seems that nothing is exhists for my HP 2710 all-in-one.   The driver that Windows only supports the printer, not the scanner or fax.  Many answers recommend to contact HP for the pilot, but HPs response is to use that Microsoft has in the computer.

I don't know why Microsoft Gets a complete driver for this popular all-in-one printer.  My new Mac Book in their OS and it will interface with all functions beautifully.  He finds the printer, scanner and fax and installed the flawless drivers.   Now that I bought a PC even once, it's frustrating to find that Microsoft has yet to produce a stable product compatible XP that was at least good support with software companies and hardware.   Should I really buy all new software and equipment to own a PC these days?
