  OOhhh, there is a button ON / OFF on top of developer Options! This is the solution: If you turn it on, it has USB debugging. Sorry guys - I hope it helps for others.

  When connecting my DROID to my laptop using Windows 7 operating system.  The phone wasn't all that very well... seemed to lock up and not to react.  When I unchecked the DEBUG USB box, it seemed to work perfectly.  What is the USB DEBUGGING, and what that means?

  It is intended for developers and is used to anything if you are not debugging software on the phone.  It can (as you see) interfere with the phone because it adds commands to USB for USB and a few other USB driver can cause a problem.

  With the exception of 'Always On', I strongly recommend against creating one of these options.  always on will slow down the time it takes to charge the droid but keep the screen on when connected to the charger.   If you choose that, go to the options screen and make sure that the brightness of the screen always is 'Auto '.

Everything works fine (thanks to BBRY to provide a toolchain OSX!) with the exception of USB debugging (Wi - Fi works very well). Are there special procedures to get the target connected on OSX (tried both automatic detection as well as explicit entry the 169.254. *. * IP address of the USB device).

• Broken screen - problems of transfer of files on USB stick due to the "read-only".

  I have a screen broke on my G2 bike. I can turn the phone on and off, but I can't get past my password because the screen is unresponsive. When I connect the phone to my pc via the usb port I can still access the files because of the default value to "charge only".

  Does anyone know of a way to change my phone to another parameter as 'charge only' that does not involve the use of the touch screen?

  I tried to use adb to transfer my files using the android devices Manager or command prompt but usb debugging is disabled.

  The otg worked perfectly. With the help of a mouse instead of the touch screen, I was able to activate the bluetooth and transfer the files this way.

  Hey there, for a few days, I have my motorcycle G 2nd GEN (XT1068) and it has been working fine until recently. Today I tried to connect the unit on my Windows 7 PC via the supplied USB cable to transfer files, but it seems like a no-go. I installed the Motorola Device Manager, but the PC is still unable to recognize the device. Both in MTP and PTP mode. It is said that is a driver for XT1068 is missing or that of MTP/PTP. I downloaded some kind of package to PSG by Microsoft support, but it does not solve my problem. In addition, Windows does not automatically find the drivers. Activating USB debugging in the options of developer mode makes no difference. Any help would be appreciated.

  Hi, I bought an OTG cable for my family of Xoom to connect keyboards and other flash drives but even though I'm sure that works of OTG cable (I checked with my Samsung Galaxy SII Skyrocket), the Xoom does not seem to recognize or keyboard or flash drives.

  Is that all I have to do for this? I thought it was supposed to be enabled by default, because in stock, I realized there is a section called external USB storage.

  You will need to disable the USB debugging for this to work. I just tried and it worked...

• Win 7 USB connection problem disconnect/connect Cycl

  Is anyone else having problems with their Droid Turbo and a Win7 PC connection? I got my first camera at the end of November. When I initially plugged on my PC, the AutoPlay of Windows kept popping up window and the device would be cycle as if it had been disconnected. The AutoPlay window closes never alone, and I need to close from a few to several 10s of windows (based on how long I left it plugged in).

  I was able to get a stable connection after installing the Motorola Device Manager software.

  After a problem without report, Verizon has replaced the original phone with a new phone. The new phone is the same cycle of disconnection/reconnection anytime it is plugged. Software Motorola device Managger says that the software is up to date.

  I connected the phone to a Linux computer and had no problem copying files back. The connection is remained established until I got the USB cable.

  I rebooted the phone and the PC several times that I care to count.

  Also has anyone seen this problem? More importanly, does anyone have a solution?

  My phone (in MTP mode, without debugging) shows that the VIDID 22 b 8: 2ea4. On several occasions, I saw the PID also be 2ea5 and 2ea8. (Maybe it's with debugging on, perhaps a PTP mode).

  James best would be to connect the device in MTP, USB OFF debug mode. In Device Manager, locate the device and click on uninstall. At the prompt to uninstall to make sure that you CHECK DELETE the driver software. Uninstall device of motorcycle, bike mobility Manager drivers and nothing of another "bike Mobility" brand. I use a disc cleaner (ccleaner) delete left over remnants of uninstalled product files. I first do a system cache/clean and repeat several times until the cache gets up, nothing to remove. After that it's over, I run the registry cleaner. After scanning, select "Questions of difficulty" to the quick click reg backup YES, choose a SAFE place 'FIX ALL '. Once done, repeat until there are no more problems found. After all this is finished, STOP, do not restart. Computer to start up, run CCleaner again just to make sure everything is clean, so before you plug in your phone, go to and install Motorola Device Manager/USB Drivers. Let the full install and reboot. In developer options, revoke the authorization of debugging. Connect the phone in MTP mode to the PC and let Win7 to install the drivers.   Go about 1/2 to the bottom of the page and look for the section titled: "application for XP drivers.  Most likely, you just need to delete the file "infcache.1" and let it rebuild.

When I connect my E700 liquid Acer without debugging, I get an icon in the section pilots in "My computer" (Windows 7) and when I turn debgging, I get another. This means that my laptop makes a difference between enabled and disabled USB debugging. However, none of the software that I downloaded acknowledged that debug mode is on. If it's a software only once, I would say that this PC Suite sucks, but all? There is a problem. Has anyone come across this and it fixed please?
