USB recording in FAT32 format

I use a laptop DV7 on Windows 7 64 bit. I have a recordwe Brennan JB7 CD I want to download music saved on the internet. The Brennan requires a FAT32 format USB from which to download. Can I use a FAT32 USB format to save on my laptop that I can then use to download my Brennan?

Hello

Yes you can, there is no reason to stop you to use FAT32 format on your machine.

Kind regards.

    Hello

on my 39L4363D, I have installed an extern USB-drive USB-record. When first connecting the drive was ok, I did two movies two days ago.

Today the connected player is not found in the 'my documents' cloud, I get the message "USB HDD is not connected... ». Otherwise this USB - stick is shown in the Mediaplayer with saved files "ts" and "CIPlus", but
I know that it is not possible to read these files in the Mediaplayer.

I disconnected the line and the power of your player and the TV, but the reader cannot be found repeatedly in 'my documents '.

Why the USB drive is shown in the mediaplayer and impossible to find in my USB-reviews?

  • USB recording - requirements for the external USB drive

What are the requirements of a USB drive to be recognized by the TV?

I tried two now, which are visible on television to show the media, but are recognized by the TV to be used as USB recording space.

You are talking about a TV, but no one knows which TV camera, you mean if you n t provide any information about the model.

However, this information should always be available in the TV s manual.
Most importantly, you will find also information that it s not guaranteed to work with all USB HDD.

I use a 32GB memory flash stick shape shift or program record and never had any problems.

  • Windows 7 does not recognize FAT32 formatted devices / Windows asks you to format a USB device in FAT32

I have a question about Windows recognizes only not USB devices formatted in FAT32.

The biggest symptom is Windows asking to format any device that has FAT32 (indicates RAW file format in disk management. The format will fail unless NTFS is used (which is unacceptable for the SD cards used in cameras, etc.).

I have a Toshiba Satellite P755 with USB 3 port and three USB 2 ports, running under Windows 7 64-bit. Type computer apparently and for most device type is not relevant to this subject after doing some extensive research.

    1. I tried SFC / SCANNOW with no result

    2. I uninstalled all the USB drivers and drivers of devices on SD card with no result

    3. I created a new profile and flies over my files with no result

    4. I searched the net and found a plethora of people having the same problem on several versions of Windows but not confirmed of the solution.

    5. I tried the fix for troubleshooting of hardware from Microsoft with no result.

The devices I've used are pen drives, to several types of SD cards flash drives and external hard drives. These devices are confirmed to work on several other computers configurations in different windows. When formatted in NTFS all works but like I already said, SD cards will not work in the cameras etc. to NTFS.

I think that the computer of wiping and again is not the problem. After researching, I discovered this problem has been around for many years and followed by Windows XP throughout Windows 8 forums and blogs that I read. I'm surprised Microsoft doesn't have a fix for this yet.

Hello and sorry for the delay.

I tried this before with the same results. My pen drives and large SD card worked until the problem occurred. Windows 7 has lost the ability to recognize the FAT32 devices.

I think I found the problem, however. My USB key must have failed in some way. After checking all my media work properly on a free desktop running windows 7 64, I jumped into a thumb sansa player and that's when I started having errors on this computer as well. This time, no data survived.

I went back to my laptop and formatted by a new copy of windows Professional 64-bit. The laptop works great and recognizes all FAT32 media I throw at it. I do not use the USB key suspect for fear that it might cause problems again.

And so far so good a few weeks later. Everything works great. I used FAT32 media without any problem. I'm sure it was the reader. I guess that he worked at masked the fact that it was the cause of the problems. Strange that this would produce windows FAT32 to reject.

  • USB, check on VL900A - format file not supported

I managed to record from my VL900a to a USB HDD and USB flash
However when I try to play again on the VL900a I get the message "unsupported file format" both drives are FAT32.

    Help?

    Hello

I recommend that you format the key USB and other devices connected to the TV by using the option in the settings of the TV.
Usually these saved files can be played on the TV.

Also, take a look at the 70 user manual page.
    http://www.MyToshiba.com.au/file/product/manual/5187/55VL900A.PDF
Is there a list of supported file formats.

According to the user manual Toshiba following formats are supported:
    AVI, mpeg-2 PS, MPEG-2TS, MPEG-2, VOB, mov, mp4, asf

  • Camileo S10 records recording in AVI format

    Hi from Spain,

I just got my Camileo S10 purchased from an online retailer.
I chose the S10 because everywhere on the web, nobody said that it records. Files MOV, which is perfect for me because I'm ready to modify the records on my Mac with iMovie.

First test: I have recorded a few clips on SD card and memory of the internet and watch them on my TV. High quality, nothing to say so far.
I have then connect the S10 to my Mac using the USB cable and discover that all the files are. AVI and not. MOV, as all the world seems to have.

It plays fine with VLC, but iMovie does not recognize one of these files.
I don't want to convert AVI to MOV, because it is a gift for my wife and she wants something simple.

Y at - it an option or a firmware available to change this?
It's very strange... Read all the forums and comments on the net, it seems that everyone is looking for a way to save in all but. MOV

I need an answer to whether or not I'm send the S10...
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi mate

Are you sure it s a .avi format?

I downloaded the manual for this camcorder S10 and the page 42 says that the camcorder support these file formats:
    Photo: JPG
    * Movie: MOV *.

It seems that the MOV format is supported
Maybe you should check all the settings!

  • HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC: HP Envy 15 with SATA USB adapter 512th Advanced Format HARD drive

    Hello:

I want to clone the HARD drive in my system via a USB to SATA Adapter for an identical external HARD drive - this record could then be used to get back in the quick business failure of internal drive. Internal and external drives are the types of advanced Format.  The drive is: HGST HTS541010A9E680. I see the 4 areas of native k when the disk is connecetd via a USB adapter?  So far, my older USB/SATA Adapter shows the areas 4096 bytes, not he emulated disk 512 byte sectors.

    Thank you

    Hi @teranz

    Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately the adapters can be hit or miss, not always reliable. You could talk to the manufacturer of the adapter for advice.

Regarding booting from a USB key, it looks like you want to install the OS on a USB device. It is possible with some advanced configuration, but it is out of the reach of these forums. You may find help by searching for «portable Windows installation»

    Good luck

  • Is it OK (safe) to use a Flash DRIVE to FAT32 format on a computer formatted in NTFS?

I moved some files back and forth between my computer and my new USB drive, without no problem noticed so far.  Yet, I can't help but think there will be problems at some point.  I was hesitant to format the USB key, mainly because it came with security features installed, features I would lose if I formatted to NTFS.

Potential future problems or usage restrictions?  Please give me some advice?

For your info, here are some details of my system:

    Computer: Dell Studio XPS 9100

Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit), SP1

    CPU: Intel Core i7 930 CPU 2.80 GHz (4 cores, 8 wires)

System memory: 9,00 GB of physical memory

Hard drive: Seagate 1 TB hard drive

Optical drive: HL - DT - ST DVD +/-RW GH50N

Video card: ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series, 1 GB memory card

    Display: Dell ST2420L, HDMI, 1920 x 1080 (32-bit)(60 Hz)

Yes, it should usually be fine.

There are a few restrictions on FAT32 as a 4 GB maximum file size, which sometimes meet people, but it's a very large file. For details of the restrictions of each of the file systems, please see:

  • Audio files recorded in Captivate are wav. files. You can record in mp3 format?

Apparently, we need the mp3 file to upload to the lms. This been done? If so, how?

I already recorded audio with a usb microphone.

    Sabrina S.

You misunderstand me. When published the WAV files are converted to MP3 by Captivate; which is a compressed format (same way images will be compressed as well). So it shouldn't be a problem.

WAV offers you the best quality, I tend to import WAV for audio clips in the CP, but you can also import MP3s with no problems.

What software should I in a pc to detect the Toshiba has decided to use the file format?

    Hello

Above all that it is a forum for computer/laptop Toshiba that I doubt there are many people who have experience with your standalone DVD recorder.

    But I have some advice for you;
Check the configuration settings. There should be something about the format that is supported.
Check if the HARD drive (where the films are stored) has been chosen correctly.

Maybe the videos are saved to the. Standard VOB my writer did.

  • TV RD storeE - how to use the FAT32 format?

Hi, I have an external HARD disc tv store and I got a guy.

For some reason, I need to format the HARD drive to FAT32. So I want to know if I format HARD drive supously I will lose the system for playback of multimedia files or the system is installed on a hidden partition. Its only temporarily the format, but I am afraid of losing the multimedia system.

    THX

    Hey Buddy,

I guess you're ENF right now right?

AFAIK, you must format the whole HARD drive you can use the FAT32 file system. A conversion to FAT32 without data loss is not possible, but I m not 100% sure.

So just back up the files on another hard drive and format the RD StoreE TV using FAT32.

  • FAT32 formatting for 500 GB Seagate external hard drive using Windows Vista

How to format FAT32 file system for 500 GB Seagate external hard drive using Windows Vista?

    Hi MVRMVR,

Windows will work generally only format a drive in FAT 32 if it has a capacity of 32GB, no more. To format in FAT32, Yes, would need to create multiple partitions. This, of course, you don't want to do.

I have not tried to format a large drive in FAT 32 but I guess that any third-party partitioning software (Acronis, Paragon etc.) would be able to do it without any problem. Alternatively you can do it from the Windows command prompt. For more details, see the link below:

  • Error: Unable to copy file 34 GB VHD in Vista Business 64-bit since hard drive USB 1 TB NTFS format drive.

I have a big file VHD, > 34 GB. Created a Virtual PC (Virtual PC 2007) image, with disc of cancellations. Installed Win 7 Pro all updates. Office 2010 Pro all updates. Judgment, apply all changes.

When the copy of the file on a hard disk to another disk Vista hard real partiton, it copies. But whenever I try to copy it to NTFSdrive USB, copy time continues to increase (cancelled when the transfer rate increased to 3 MB/s, time to copy remaining 11 hours 38% copied), the I/O reduction.

Tried to launch the tool Rich Copy, which reported as 8 I/o operations failed and had to stop copying.

Check the disk (from the virtual image) gives 314 cases of large files, 4 EA records, 88 business cases, NO problem.

I tried to disable cancellation drive, start the computer virtual, reboot & running disk error checking, aok.   OS / works fine.

I can copy other files (virtual hard disk, etc.) in both directions from the USB key. Have executed Optiomizer, disabled Compression and indexing on the USB. The USB is displayed 100% functional and no problem.

It seems to be a problem with the Vista i/o system and the context of the VHD file. Someone else encountered similar problem on Vista, have a solution?

    Thank you

In this case, I don't know.

The only thing I can suggest is Process Monitor when it starts to slow down.
