• Tips to solve the chaos of the photo before installing Lightroom?

  I tried and really liked the free 30 day trial of Lightroom 2 and I intend to buy (or Lightroom 3 when it came out pretty quickly).  The features of fast developing photo were convincing enough, but I am also looking for a solution for my photo chaos management.

  My problem is that I have pictures scattered everywhere - on my laptop work, on my Office PC, on external drives, on CD.  And I have duplicates everywhere, but not all of them are duplicated.  I completely lost sight where the photos.   I recently bought a Windows Home Server to perform regular backups of my desktop PC and have move manually loads of photos to the server to make sure that they are in a place course (the folder is automatically duplicated on a separate disk) and share them with other members of the family.

  In the future with Lightroom, I plan to import my pictures from the camera via Lightroom on my desktop PC and have Lightroom save a copy of the original to my server for added security.   But I'm not sure of the best way to manage the existing photos.  Are there recommendations on how to prepare the existing chaos for import into Lightroom?  And Lightroom can recognize if exact duplicate photos are imported from different sources?

  I would be grateful for advice or pointers for advice on the web or books.

  I don't think that there is an easy way to correct this otherwise chaos only through pictures and in deciding what is a duplicate or not. and moving things to a single folder (network storage?), with subfolders. Sometimes, Lightroom can detect duplicates during the import, other times not.

  Here's what you don't want to. Do NOT attempt to become more organized by changing your photo, or folder names. Are NOT trying to make your file names and files of the method by which you organize and the method by which you're looking for things. In other words, the location and the name of your files is irrelevant other that you want all in a parent folder.

  Using Lightroom tools to organize and do the research as soon as possible. These tools are the keywords, the metadata and collections. These are much more powerful than anything you can do with the names of the folders and folder locations.

  It is a POS system where a machine acts as a server. 2 machines are on their own network.

  When you share the folder on the server, make sure that you set both the regular folder permissions and share permissions (on security and the sharing of the folder properties tabs).  The two sets of permissions must be set to allow access.

  I see other people having this problem but I can't seem to get the printer going on the new USB port on a new computer laptop.

  I don't connect when you said that a few post back as your printer is connected using a parallel to USB cable. Now that I have a better understanding of this aspect, I can tell you that it may not work again. Unfortunately, the type of connection that uses the printer is very outdated and is no longer supported because of the potential problems that may result. I'm willing to bet that the issue of installation does not deal with the laptop itself, but the laptop cannot communicate with the printer without communication problems.
  
  My honest suggestion is to check out some of the more recent deskjets or small officejets and see what we have available to replace this unit. Much product HP printers are now improved print quality, ink longevity and increased functionality (wireless, scanning, etc.).

• I'm looking for a theme of book with the right combination of text and photo layout.

  I'm doing a book project I have Photos for Mac. I would like to include text, but then discovered that some themes have not; the I took has only pages full of text. Another is, but offered just 3 photos on each page, in strange layouts.

  The main problem is that when I pick I see nothing other than the cover. I have to build the project to see what I get. Is there another way to see them, or choose one based on preferences?

  And when did things become so shitty? I have created a book in iPhoto, and it was really easy.

  Mostly by trial and error.  What I did is create a test with a few photos with the first theme of book available.  I then he reproduced several times and changed the theme to one of the others.  I now have a test for each of the themes book.

  

  When I want to create a new book with a particular theme I duplicate the test book, rename it and use it.

  There is something generally wishing to each of the book themes: features and Photo Book Formats.  If descriptions are insufficient, so trial and error described above will be necessary.

  Hello, I recently bought a Wireless-G USB Network Adapter with SpeedBooster model WUSB54GSC to go with my Wireless-G Broadband Router model WRT54G2 and I can't access the internet.  The laptop tells me I am connected and that force is Excellent, but when I open my browser, I can't access any site at all. When I try to add the laptop to my network magic on my computer, it tells me that it cannot connect with the laptop.  My Nintendo Wii and Itouch work perfectly with the router so I think it's my browser settings, but I can't understand it.  Thank you!

  Hey, thanks for trying to help out.  It turns out that my firewall did not allow the laptop to access the internet.  I made a few adjustments on my firewall settings and it all worked out great.

  I used the Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 editor application when the application crashed.  How can I get the Adobe Photoshop Elements, close, save my images in the photo tray, and not to lose images in the photobin or my USB? The application allow me not to do anything to minimize, save, close, or anything else and I was in the middle of working on the photo editing.  I'm trying to do this because I have clients who are waiting for me to prepare their images and their timely.   Hello. I was talking to a reps in a computer store. They all pretty much said that usb2 has a limit of about 30-35 MB/s Port speed at the most. Is this true? They mentioned the material, but it's Windows XP, Vista or 7? Is it the same on a Mac or Linux?

  I noticed when I move the large amoutns of info and leave a single external drive, it accelerates and can go very fast, but I have not a program for bench mark my usb ports or devices.

  I said and learned of solid sate drives and HDD with deal faster help of RPM with all bottlenecks to bottlenecks and delays. Especially when transfer of two locations in your computer or several devices which slows down.

  So if I get a pci card that has 3 or 4 usb2 ports: they will share mb/s? (or bus transfer speed)? I thought that pci cards are faster and that sharing of transfer rates is lower? What separate usb ports, share because they are on the motherboard?

  Is it possible to maximize the ability of a usb2 port to make it as fast as possible? And if there is a limit, why is he always marketed as 480 mb/s?

  If your media or Images are stored on the memory of our device then first install BlackBerry desktop Software here BlackBerry desktop software after installation connect your device using the USB cable and run the Desktop software.

  Select images from software then you can import the Images on your PC.

  1: search by keyword

  2: click on 'Images' in the center of the screen. I know, it's not yet clear that there is a link.

  3: then click on the little icon of Audio slider by the search tool

  4: then a window opens where you can set the details of your search.

  5: note: it is impossible to find now to say that .jpgs and videos in the same search.

  6: If you want to sort by relevance you need to go to a totally different place in the upper right of the screen
