  I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your TouchSmart from HP ENVY 15 laptop and issues using a USB key as the recovery media.

  I think that the laptop it tell you that the Thumbdrive could not be formatted for all functions of Windows 8. It doesn't have to be 32 GB and is compatible to Windows 8 to create a recovery USB Flash disk. Here is a link to the creation of recovery disks or USB in Windows 8 flash player, if you need it.

So I thought that it is possible (and legal) to resume an installation of windows 7 professional 64 bit disc from a friend and use this product key on the back of my laptop computer to activate windows after the installation of 64-bit?   You can make a bootable USB to install using this free program that will do all the work for you. Try running disk utility/repair disk be before installation.

  The function 'Set API Key"in the HTTP Client-> palette of security has two entrances, private and public key sections.

  Definition of the key given to some does not, putting my usernam as the public part does not work.

  FYI, for this particular code, they provided an API key, but then their implementation required under the user name with a password empty.
