USE OF CPU ALWAYS SUPERIOR TO 50% ALSO IN THE PC IDLE STATE...

My PC is very slow. The CPU usage remains always above 50% just after when I turn on the PC.
He never drops below 50%. What is happening since last week.
It remains same in the off State (when no programs are run {even in the taskbar}) also.
IAM facing everyday problems using my PC. It has now become very slow.
I tried all possible measures such as:-1. using the system configuration to stop unnecessary programs from startup.
2 using the Disk Defragmenter.
3 using the Cccleaner to remove all files of PC unnecccessary.
4 using the KASPERSKY INTERNET SECURITY 12, I scanned and found 0 THREATS.

I have 320 hard drive with two local drives: 1. (c) 57.9 GB free 99.9 GB;
2 (D :)) 22.9 free GB of 198 GB.)

Please HELP me ON THE above of PROBLEM as SOON AS POSSIBLE! I have!

Thank you...

I SOLVED THE PROBLEM ON MY OWN...

THANK YOU ALL FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT...

Just once, I suspended my kaspersky antivirus internet and saw that cpu utilization drop between 30 to 40%.
Then I closed my antivirus for quite awhile and I saw this CPU usage to fall down in the end between 1 and 10 percent. So I uninstalled and reinstalled my kaspersky antivirus. Now the problem is solved and my PC runs very smooth...

Thnkx for the efforts of all...

Kind regards
Yuvraj Singh.

With only 4 GB it is not to change to 64-bit because it actually uses the more than 32-bit ram.

  • Vista Enterprise using 100% CPU countiniously

I use Vista business on dell Inspiron 6400 (had vista with laptop). The laptop has dual core processor and a CPU is used 100% without interruption since install. I have installed all updates using windows update utility. I have also disabled the indexing service and also to adjust Visual effects for best performance. The problem still exists.

In the Task Manager, I see a peremptory touch 100% CPU graph and another pretty normal CPU graph. I have 2 GB of ram and still 1,3 GB free. I have not yet installed any software. In the list of process System Idle Process takes, 90 + CPU usage no other program uses much CPU.

For this reason, my laptop is very slow to respond and almost useless, please help me.

I think that I found the correct culprit this time. I tried to disable the edge of BIOS devices implemented and it worked. When narrowed "Media Card and 1394" device was causing too much hardware interrupts. My PC works fine and no CPU usage after you turn off the device. I think that the fault was in Media card on board the aircraft.

It took me a long way to reach this solution, so to help others here you are a few steps to take to limit the problem.
-Task Manager open to see if any software uses the CPU more than expected. If you notice any software then its easy to uninstall or disable the program at startup etc.
-If Task Manager processors are normal and yet one or more CPU is used close to 100% and then download and run http://live.sysinternals.com/procexp.exe ProcessXP and run
-If material interruptions take up too much cpu, then try to disable/remove your attached devices, like modems usb, wireless lan, lan card BIOS Setup etc.

    Hope this will help.

  • Touchpad causing excessive use of CPU on Vostro 3558 (Windows 10)

    Hello.

I am therefore unable to use Windows 10 because using the touchpad causes the process "System and compressed memory" to use more than 30% of CPU.

I made a GIF showing what I mean:

As soon as I start to scroll and move the pointer this process ("Sistema y memoria compartida" in Spanish, but it's the same, ntoskrnl.exe) raises my CPU usage, as you can see.

I tried a lot of things, but I always have to go back to Windows 7 or Windows 8.

-J' uses latest Touchpad drivers from the site Web of Vostro 3558.

-J' tried 19.0.9.4 old synaptic drivers for Vostro 3558 by www.dell.com/.../DriversDetails

-J' lastest synaptics.com generic drivers, tried both SMBus and IC2 versions, but they do not work at all (I even manually installed them in Device Manager).

-This has happened the upgrade of Windows 8 to 10 of Windows and installs also in fresh Win10.

Without drivers from dell (using default microsoft HID Driver and synaptics.com), I get no problems of use of CPU, but none of the gestures of course.

I ask for help because I don't want to stay in Win7/Win8, and it drives me crazy.

I fixed it messing with Vostro 3559 touchpad driver and driver Lenovo Yoga 3 1370.

IN FACT, WINDOWS 8.1 HAS THE SAME PROBLEM, I HAVE NOT TRIED WINDOWS 10.

    THE STEPS I DID TO FIX IN WINDOWS 8.1;

    1. install the VOSTRO 3559 Windows 7 touchpad drivers:

    2. open Device Manager, open the section "Mice and other pointing devices" and right click on "Dell Touchpad" (it should be named only after having installed the drivers Vostro 3559). Select "Update driver software".

    3. click on "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my computer"

    4. uncheck the "Show compatible hardware", go to "Synaptics" and select "Touchpad"

    5. now if you check your device manager there is NO HIGH CPU USE, BUT TOUCHPAD IS LAG like *, as on some XPS models.

Now, why I did everything above? Because I can not install directly Lenovo Touchpad drivers without installing the first software of Vostro 3559. Synaptics software simply does not therefore not gestures.

    6. DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THE WINDOWS 8.1 LENOVO YOGA TOUCHPAD DRIVERS 3

    Direct link:

    7. OPEN the DEVICE MANAGER AGAIN AND THE SAME THING, BUT THIS TIME WE will USE "LENOVO POINTING DEVICE" rather than "TOUCHPAD" OR "DELL TOUCHPAD"

    8. YOU're not in MEASUREMENT OF CLICK NOW AS a RESULT OF SWITCHING THE DRIVER, so YOU WILL NEED AN EXTERNAL MOUSE, OPEN TASK MANAGER AND CLOSE ALL SYNAPTICS and PROCESS RELATED of TOUCHPAD.

    9. GO TO C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP AND OPEN SYNTPENH. EXE

    10. HERE, YOU HAVE A JOB ENTIRELY TOUCHPAD WITHOUT MAKING YOUR CRAZY CPU

You don't need to do anything at the next start of Windows, it is already fixed.

  • 35.0 Firefox uses 100% cpu on Mac Yosemite 10.10.1 then either breaks or needs force quit.

I had this problem since installing Yosemite and using 34.0.5. I upgraded yesterday to 35.0 but still the same problem. Firefox will work happily for a while and then all of a sudden will use 100% cpu. I disabled all extensions and plug-ins and that made no difference. If I use Java (8-25), it will usually make it crash but not always.

To make things worse, the accident report appears in Greek (which is considered in another question already).

How can I get that back?

You could try story ('Alt + S') > "Restore preivous session", then also of the story then 'restore Windows' > 'restore all windows.

You get back them or re-create them, I would suggest that you save all in a folder of bookmarks for your restore them immediately and pin them each, or altogether if you have the extension «Multiple Tab Handler»

  • [W510] crashes during use heavy CPU/GPU | possible overheating

    Hello

I have a problem with W150 6 - week old I am just unable to provide. I tried a fairly recent game to test the hardware capabilities of my new camera. However, when running this game, it crashes at irregular intervals.

    MACHINE:

    ThinkPad W510, 4389-W1B Type

    Intel i7 Q70

    nVidia Quadro FX 880 M

    4 GB OF RAM

    Windows 7 Pro 64-bit

    SETTING:

The game in question is 'Mass Effect' (2008) with graphics almost maxed out settings (720 p and maximum of details). The machine has all the latest drivers and BIOS installed.

    BEHAVIOR:

The machine is appearently under a heavy load of CPU/GPU with the fan at the highest speed. The causes of the accident the screen go blank and feeding the machine in less than a second after a short hard disk activity. The time until the machine hangs when running the game differs between 3 to 30 minutes.

    COMMENTS:

I installed the tools, namely TPFanControl and SpeedFan temperature monitoring. The CPU does not get like 80 degrees Celsius, the temperature of the GPU also doesn't exceed 80 degrees Celsius. The accident occurs only with this game of 3D acceleration. However, it is the most demanding game I posses. The question seems to be temperature related since it usually takes much more time to plant the device switching on after a long time being turned off, or in a cooler environment.

    SO FAR THE TESTS:

I have run several tests of stress on the machine, namely of Prime95 (max CPU temperature: 86), FurMark (CPU: 85, GPU: 80 c) and 3DMark. All passed without accidents (when running for about 1,5 hour maximum). I got the latest nVidia drivers installed, as well as the latest graphics drivers approved by Lenovo. I tried other games with resolution 1080 p and maxed out settings, but the accident only with "Mass Effect".

    CONCLUSION DATE:

Like many, I can tell, when you run the game, CPU or GPU become warmer than during the stress tests. Nevertheless, the problem "seems" related to temperature. The fact that I don't have to plant with any other game machine or a stress test makes me assume that Mass Effect is just wrong with Windows 7 or the material. However, to my knowledge, bad code or bad drivers do not cause such a crude system shutdown.

Well, I really don't know what o think about it. I don't want to make use of Lenovo support, unless it is really an anomaly in the system. I would need to get along without my laptop for 2 weeks, which is a long time in view of the fact that it is my primary work machine.

So my questions to the community are:

    1. is it possible that this is a temperature related problem after all? Despite the positive stress test?

2 is it possible that these accidents are caused by bad drivers or bad programs?

    Tips are greatly appreciated...

I don't think it's an overheating problem, it is more likely a software/driver problem or a hardware problem. I am inclined to think that it is the last.

The system should go in a judgment of thermal overload until less than 95 degrees. 80 degrees is on the beach of normal operation for the GPU and the CPU temperature when loading at 100% load.

Try to disable the Turbo mode, also have you tried to perform a test on the ram?

In addition, update a bios may be a good idea if you don't have it already done.

  • After trying to use Fix - It to fix XP does not recognize the USB key, had to go back to the last good configuration and computer charge always VERY slowly. What's past and how to fix it?

Windows XP SP3 has ceased to recognize a USB flash drive and card reader that he always acknowledged in the past. I tried to use Fix - It to correct the problem. Fix - It is then asked to restart the computer. When the computer is restarted, it would not load. After waiting almost two hours, I restarted with the last good configuration. Then reloaded, it took nearly an hour. Before using the Fix - It, the computer was loading in less than five minutes after a reboot. There a lot of things on it. What can I do now to solve the problem posed by Fix - It and also correct the problem with XP recognizes does not flash drives?

    Hi lental,

  • Windows 10 build 9926 unusually heavy use of CPU on the venue Pro 7130 i3 11

Define how the other owners of 11 Pro 7130 meeting places had good success in the management of the Windows 10 preview, I conducted today a place in upgraded from 8.1 to 10 build 9926 (the one with the Continuum, which is great), but I'm having the issue of constant between 50 and 99 percent high CPU load , with no guilty in the Task Manager. Before you go to format and do a clean install I wanted to ask if anyone knew this problem.

EDIT: the unusually high load seems to be triggered by a process called Windows Driver Foundation - user, whose executable mode driver is wudfhost.exe.

A complete reinstallation did not help.

EDIT 2: If someone experience the problem, disable completely the service named "Windows Driver Foundation - user-mode driver framework" helped, with seemingly no ill effects, although after weird restarting it may need to be disabled later.

As a warning, I note how in general, it is never a good idea to go mucking in services.msc.

Some information about my experience with the Windows preview 10, the two pre - and after Cortana on a Dell coming Pro 11:

    1. Builds before the last Technical Preview 9926 looked much more like Windows 8.1

      1. They shared the same start menu and app store. It was almost like 8.1 with all it's bugs ironed out - and a few goodies in. Really worked well on my V11P.
    2. 9926 build adds many new features - but also adds tons of bugs.
      1. Look around the net and you will see common problems that are corroborated by many users of the technique of the preview. You will have to take the good with the bad.
    3. Upgrades (from 8.1 to 10) on-site are problematic - ESPECIALLY with the most recent Technical Preview 9926
      1. My installation of the latest version of Win10, migrate my settings 8.1 resulted in an installation with tons of questions. My Active stylus barely worked - sensor HID driver will fail to load and having problems. He would go to the mode standby and never go on low power, draining my battery. He had 100% fail still to wake up from its sleep - I would get a black screen that requires a hard shutdown and reboot. I also had the CPU usage very high with the WDF service. As mentioned above.
      2. Overall, a lot of things online really as you can imagine - and this is frankly not worth it to upgrade on site.

So, with that said - what was the solution?

    New installation.

Here are the steps to get the best Windows 10 installation on a coming 11 Pro (I know - in my experience).

    1. Download the version of ISO - installation of a USB disk with the utility in Rufus

      1. Boot on it by pressing volume up several times during boot up until you get the boot menu. Then use volume up to move to the bottom of the list - low volume to select the highlight boot device.
      2. After the installation of the key USB - copy the most recent copy of Dell Wireless driver for your Intel/Dell Wireless card, a copy of 7-zip, and a copy of the latest Dell cabin Pack for the 7130 file in a directory on the USB drive (make one, name drivers or something).
    2. Install the Windows technical overview 10
      1. Delete all partitions on disk 0 (or whatever your SSD) until you have one unpartitioned space - and install it.
    3. When you first - start your screen will be slow/choppy as all hell!
      1. This is mainly due to the fact that there are very few compatible drivers cooked in Windows 10.
    4. Do not start to install the drivers from the Dell site - many will prove to be obsolete.
      1. Only install the drivers from Dell/Intel Wireless to obtain network connectivity and the internet
      2. Then install 7 - Zip and extract the CAB Driver Dell file in a directory on your C:\ called "C:\Dell.
    5. Now you have a network connection - start Windows Update

    1. Windows different Intel chipset - including video device drivers will begin to download.
    2. It will ask to reboot - let him.
  • Now - if your tablet is something like mine - after it restarts, it will start flickering like hell.
    1. This is the video driver Intel panic hell. Tablet may hang - just persist through the pain and continue.
    2. I found mine to panic more with the help of the touchscreen - so I plugged a mouse.
    3. Mine has been fixed by disabling "Auto Refresh Panel" in the Intel graphics options menu (click Law Office, Graphics Options). This setting can be found under the section power options.
      1. Do it and restart. My flicker ceased thereafter.
  • At this point - I expected and wanted things worked, but open Device Manager
    1. (Start menu - type "Device Manager") - or-(Start Menu-> Control Panel-> Device Manager)
    2. There was a last device without driver SM Bus controller. Click - Update right driver and point it to the directory of D:\Dell you have extracted the CAB file.
    3. It was't until what I installed the driver for the device that he would go to sleep properly connected.
  • Now - a word of warning. Unlike earlier versions of win 10 - my Eve connected sessions drain about 1, 500 MW/h. That's what I saw in 8.1 Win no matter what I tried - I wonder if there is some sort of driver problem - and replacement needs. My sleep study reports show some offenders - everything works for less than 1% of the sleep cycle, but the material is not a descendant to C3 to sleep, which is where the power drain is. Looks like a driver chipset of a certain type of malfunction - I'll do a trace and try to isolate the problem.

Apart from that-, all has been MUCH more stable. Sleep (although draining the battery) are coherent rock, I have the high utilization of the processor in the stronger WDF service, and the active stylus works exactly as it should.

I'll stop it between uses for now - and keep stable and see if there is a driver chipset or something that solves this problem.

  • Random processes using 50% CPU (dll files)

Random process (svchost.exe, taskhost.exe, taskmgr.exe procexp.exe - Process explorer, chrome.exe, skype.exe and so forth) always use 50% CPU, but only one of them will do both. If I stop the process that takes too much CPU usage, after 5 seconds, another process starts using 50% CPU again. I used Process Explorer to check the problem, and I found that the process still using 50% CPU has api-ms-win - returned-* dll running (from 4 to 9 of the dll). No other process has them. After that I started to close the processes one by one and always monitor the dll, and it seems that after I stop a CPU consuming processes, after a few seconds another process loads the api-ms-win - returned - all * dll and start again using too much CPU. I don't know if the CPU usage is relevant to these DLLs, so I came here to help.
I tried to reinstall windows, use 2 anti virus to find something and neither things solved the problem.

At it remove it (or quarantine it)?  If she keeps reappearing you are still infected and may have to start a new thread in the virus & malware to help with its removal

  • Windows Media Player network sharing using 33% CPU resources

Network Media Media Player sharing module chew cpu

I have a problem to use cpu similar to others on the use of the CPU window media player.  I used process Explorer tool and concluded that the wmpnetwk process was continulally with 33% of the resources of my CPU, even when the media player is started.  Media player itrself use about 20-22% cpu when it is open and put a media is underway, which is all the time. MY PC has a CPU triple heart so it is a pretty big piece of the CPU!   I tried all of the fixes suggested without result.  It is perhaps a more unique problem.  I've upgraded to Windows 7 64 vista premium 64 premium, but not to install a clean (delete all).  Found a number of problems related to the user's requests and reinstalled them.  As media player and media center are part of the operating system apparently I can't do that for them.  This JUST started happening.  Is it possible the update did something?  Also, I have a laptop with windows 7 preinstalled and won't have the same problem.  I look at this turning point multimedia and Media Player off and setting adobe media player as my default until someone can come to a better suggestion.

Quick update.  Player use and cpu just off center media and the media is back at a low level.  Remains to be seen.  Why wmpnetwk use so much cpu?

In fact, I found that my step can be a little higher and quite tedious.

You can actually do the following which allows to save time! Wmplayer.exe is responsible for managing the shared library, wmpnetwk.exe share this library on the network(Please correct me if I'm wrong here)

    1. Open Windows Media Player and remove all monitored folders and close Windows Media Player (for me Windows Media Player became unresponsive after he consumed more than 300 MB, so I closed it by force), open it again with an eye on the Windows Media Player (wmplayer.exe) process to ensure that the CPU is acceptable.
    2. Add a tracking of file in Windows Media Player.
    3. When the dialog box opens showing the progress of the files added to the library, keep an eye so it gets stuck for a long time (about 2-5 min +, normally, you will find that the memory usage begins to boost quickly) and take a note which folder/sub-folder it got stuck on. (It is a good indicator that a file in this folder may be corrupted), if the dialogue ends while watched folder has no problem.
    4. If there is a problem with step 3, close the dialog progress, remove this folder monitored, close Windows Media Player and move half the files in this folder that you noted to another folder not monitored . Repeat steps 2 through 4 until the watched folder performs its search.
    5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 until you have added all the files in Windows Media Player.

I don't know why there no code in windows media player to check if corrupted files, but it is definitely a leak memory in the application and I hope this will be corrected my Microsoft soon!

  • Adobe uses my CPU more RAM, this normal?

So I bad start by saying that I have a system of 3.4 ghz quad core i7 with 16 GB of ram and 2 GB Nvidia EVGA Geforce GTX GPU FTW 750ti.

whenever I visit a project that I started to notice that my system is using my cpu on my RAM

my CPU will be ranging from 90 to 99% when rendered as my ram is just above 50%

When I nominated 13 GB of RAM to adobe and 3 GB of ram for everything else.

This is how its going to be? or should my adobe use my ram on my cpu first?

    Ram3.jpgram2.jpgRAM.jpg

Rendering/export is essentially a process of CPU... RAM is simply a quick/departure place of temporary storage for data that are partly 'cooked' and waiting for his next step of treatment... in the CPU. If she needed the RAM, use it... but as it is running up to and greater than 90% of the actual processing capacity, it is not need more.

GPU not serves as much export... with few exceptions. Then... export is primarily about your CPU, the - front side bus (fsb) get the displaced drive data to CPU to RAM & back... and your drive/output supported capabilities.

If your CPU is nearly at MAX, it's also fast that goes from this machine.

  • Uses of CPU high on a Linux machine

    Hi all

We have 2 Server database oracle on different locations... the two servers have same hardware and same configuration OS

    OS:-RHEL3 (32 bit)
    database: Oracle 9.2.0.4

both have same number of simultaneous sessions 187-200, but still the server 1 shows the memory use very high that Server2... I'm not able to find the cause of it... the two servers are running the same application, and it's on the Internet... what could be the reason for this. ??? the server with the senior uses shows

    1 db file scattered read
    2 db file sequential read
3 SQL * net more data to the client

events in waiting statspack report, I also checked network for traffic and is sustainable by existing network... so what could be the cause high CPU use? I also have data Born vmstat and it shows swpd = 0 US = 14, and free chat and cache memory

    any suggestions would be appreciated

    Thanks and greetings
    VD

    Dixit says:

but the other system with the same configuration and almost the same load varies the CPU usage. What is that?

Could be something else causing CPU? Who was carefully checked and updated?

If Yes, then you can profile the CPU usage of the same process to run on both servers and then compare the results - which will tell you what is different.

with above did you mean only slow the e/s disk original problem... that I need to move data faster disks files?

N ° Pages swapped memory in the swap space are written to disk. Pages swapped in memory from the swap space are read on disk. I/o operations are by nature slow. Access to the memory of nature is very fast. So when memory pages must be accessible through I/O, it is a very expensive operation and can cause huge performance problems. This measure is to look at the number of hard page faults (requiring pages to read the disk and in memory) for a process. A large number of page faults means that what must be the operations of memory very fast of this process, is now very slow operations as the pages of memory of this process are mainly in swap space and must be read from the disk. In the case of Oracle, saw it happen to the SGA will have consequences of performance of desire.

report also shows that PGA is not fully used. Take a look at the stainless steel of statspack report

PGA is a collective noun describing dedicated memory allocated in the private process memory space. In simple terms the shared memory is "+ good +" and the dedicated memory is "+ bad +" as the former many processes on this server and this last service can only process a single process. As most of the performance issues, using the PGA is therefore a balance between the amount of non-shareable memory can be used to speed up a single process compared to the amount of memory shared that can be assigned to speed up a process heap.

You must make attention randomly using measures of CPU, i/o and memory in the attempt to anticipate a performance problem. This can lead to OCTD (obsessive-compulsive disorder Tuning). ;-)

You've identified what you think it's an anomaly of CPU usage. So focus on that only. Isolate it. Confirm and identify it. And then solve it. External factors you add (as of huge pages, use of PGA and so on), only obscures the problem and increases the complexity of the determination of the cause of the anomaly.

  • Firefox crashes (even in safe mode) constantly and use 50% CPU while doing

I use Firefox 36.0.1 and Windows XP (32-bit version).

Lately, Firefox made this weird thing where it stops randomly load anything, as if the connection has been broken (it isn't, any other works very well). In this case, Firefox uses 50% CPU, when it is usually revolves around, well, 0%. Restart the browser, or waiting for a few minutes "fixed" the problem temporarily. Same thing in safe mode, too.

I have the feeling that this * might * be related to Flash, since it seems to happen more often when I am watching videos, or stream on the shaking. I tried to disable the plugin-container and update the Adobe Flash Player plugin, with little success. Malwarebytes could not find anything either, and it does not feel like a virus anyway.

Whatever it is, I'm out of options at this point. I had a lot of problems with Firefox for a while now, especially when it comes to videos/animations (I can't play the videos of Vine.co , for example), and it starts to make it difficult for me. I really don't want to switch to Chrome, I don't trust of Google and their browser doesn't have a lot of key functions I like in Firefox (such as the sidebar bookmarks < 3), so I really hope I can get help here.

    Any suggestions?

Chrome is a pain, I tried to go back and difficulty of Firefox (so far), and again, I think I found the problem. I should mention that I tried these 5 suggestions before, btw, and none of them got rid of the problem. Yes, even in safe mode, with a profile is empty, no plugins, no firewall and without tab, it happens again, somehow. And Yes, Chrome will work fine with Firefox running in the background, as I mentioned in my previous post.

What he did for me was turn off Prefetching and IPv6 times in all: config, following the instructions on this this page .

I'm not sure that one did the trick (I kinda afraid to mess with that again, but I could test if you want to, it might be useful to others), but it looks like everything is going well for the moment.
