  Hi Alik!

  Lightroom sets the latest version of Photoshop as external editor by default. However, you can set the CC Photoshop as an additional external editor in the preferences.

  

  You can then call it with a keyboard shortcut or via the menu.

  I have recently moved most of my image containing folders on external hard drive. In general, everything works smoothly in Lightroom (running latest CC).   Looks like I solved my problem with Lightroom. I disassembled my external backup drive, but upheld the disk external drive containing the photos up and then restarted my mac. After the reboot, I open Lightroom and chose the image on an external drive for mounting in affinity Photo and Collection of Nik. Both image successfully opened in editors. I reassembled the backup drive and rebooted time machine and repeated the same opening picture in external editors. Once again, works great. Have no idea where the original problem. Looks like a bad path was stored in a config somewhere file.

• Removal of the External Editor presets

  I can't remove the External Editor presets. I go through the motions, but they don't go away. Any suggestions? I use 4.1 on Lion.

  Go to Preferences > External Editor tab.

  Select the preset in the pop-up - and then click again on the pop-up and you'll remove X Delete preset down.

  Repeat for any other presets.

  If this does not work, we will need a little more information.  An alternative would be to go to preferences > Presets tab, press view the presets folder and you should find the External Editor preset files there - you just delete them using the Explorer/Finder and restart LR.

  If you right click on the image in the library, you change with... as an option immediately below Edit with mspaint? If so, that que choisir choose and navigate to the location of Photoshop. Once you do this, Photoshop should be listed as the Publisher (that is, until you choose something different).
