My father was so angry and it IS SLOW!

Can you help me run SP2 on my computer?

Hi again.  Question: what would these updates have been?  If you don't remember, open Windows Update, click on "see the installed updates" and more recently installed report with updates.

As I already said (maybe bad), Windows Update not immediately offers you Service Pack 1.  There are quite a few Windows updates that must be installed before WU will offer you the service pack.
There is also some (including some audio drivers Realtek) drivers that are known to cause problems with the installation of SP1; Therefore, WU do offer you the update until these drivers are updated.

Here is an MS article explaining why (and bugs):
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/948343/en-us

I would like to repeat that the three updates, I mentioned in my first post are prerequisites for SP1.  Theyneed to be installed first and in the order displayed.
Again, check your Windows Update history for these three KB numbers.  If you don't see one or several of them installed, you can find with a quick Google search.  ;)

Kind regards
Chris

    1. you will need to re-run the TV installation for the EPG again and you will need to get
the new cablecard paired with your tuner.

    2. I had replaced dying standards from the same provider without loss of the
ability to display existing records. I hope that you will have no problems.

  • When you use Windows Media Center on the Xbox 360 DVD have not given chapter.

After finally finding many questions I have my Xbox Media Extender and running upward and only this question left.

I'm ripping my DVD to single file .vob she seems to like and plays very well, but it is only with the file movie and nothing else in the record.  How the XBOX sees it, the bed and he plays very well.  However I have no control outside the break and if I restart it takes over the job.

Now if I rip my DVD with the .bup .ifo files in this folder the XBOX instantly he shoots in the list of the DVD and it will not play.

When I use Windows Media Center on my PC it preforms even when the film is in the folder.  Then when I add bup and ifo data I can still play, but he has all data in the chapter that I need.  Shows all the chapters, allows me to jump as I please.

How can I get my XBOX to behave like my PC?  I have to remove these 4 files in/out of the folder to see pop in and out of my list of XBOX.  How can I get the XBOX to validate data, so my movies actually have chapters and ignore the controls?

    Thank you

    Chris

    Hello, wilsman00

As mentioned, by changing the VOB files, the data in the chapter are probably damaged. This can be confirmed by putting in a retail DVD in the drive and play directly from the DVD.

  • Try to install Windows Media Center on my laptop but I don't know where to buy it.

    original title: Hi Please help

I am trying to install windows media Center on my laptop but carnt find any where to go. all I want to do is use with my xbox any help guys, thanks

    Hi, Matt.
You can't 'install' Media Center - either you have it, or you don't have.
Media Center is included in all versions of Windows 7 Home Premium on-site (except for certain markets (Europe and the Korea come to mind), where it is not included by default (but there is a pack for this.))
If you have the Starter or Home Basic, you must make an Express upgrade to Home Premium (or higher).

  • How to use Windows media player with the windows Task Scheduler (7)?

Original title: why it is so difficult... question of windows media player 12

You want to use Windows media player with windows (7) Task Scheduler.   We have a pc, everything that appears on the screen is also pumped to our community cable channel, normally a slideshow in loop is the show, however, sometimes via a scheduler interrupt the slideshow to play a video (say a video of our last Board of Directors meeting) and to make videos, ideally the slideshow returns.

Using Microsoft software, in this case, Windows Media Player v12.0.7601.18150, Task Scheduler 1.0, two things must happen.

1 Task Scheduler launch a video in fullscreen / top of window.

    2. when the video is finished, wmp is closed.

Well, 1 works fine.  The Task Manager launching wmp in full screen.  And a framework of wmp switches to allow a session of wmp be on top.

However, a short time after launch wmp cut the screen down to a smaller version.

And 2. closure of WMP fails to occur.  He remains on the screen waiting for human input.

    Any input appreciated.

    Charlie

For "cuts WMP down to a smaller version", right click on the video game (during playback) and deselect ' auto Player size to contain video.

For number 2, define your point of Task Scheduler task for the "end of task after X minutes" and therefore the value of X.  Then it will kill the instance of running Media Player after a large number of minutes.  So, it will absolutely immediately when the video is done playing, but it will be within 60 seconds and will be at least to remove WMP and let your slideshow be visible again.

  • Installation window Media Center with Avermedia A850 DMB-TH/DVB-T

    Hi all

I am located in Australia and I have a USB TV tuner which can be used for DVB - T or DMB - TH digital system. I tested it on the player of AverMedia TV tuner, which worked well and I can't all channels using an antenna from the wall outlet. However, it doesn't seem to work when I went to the Media Center window with the same exact configuration (taking wall antenna).

I tried to use it on Windows Vista and 7, which gave me very different results.

    --------------------------

Vista: When I click on "Setup TV signal" it recognizes the signal as "Antenna", but he was not able to scan any guide or service.

    --------------------------

7: Interestingly, it recognizes the USB TV Tuner, but to halfway through the installer it says 'You are about to leave the media center window to start the installation process for Tuner AVerMedia digital (DMB - TH)' and the rest of the facility would be in Chinese, where he asks me which City Chinese I am etc. and cause recognized as a bad country and DMB - TH no channels are available.

    --------------------------

Could I please get a setting for help to the top of the window Media Center?

Initially, I thought it was a problem with the driver, but it seems not to be because she works for the Avermedia program.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello

    Thank you for you answer.

I have already contacted Avermedia and they got back to me with a solution. However, they notified the problem with the interface in Chinese was the software design of the library window.

Also, I think that DMB - TH is just how Windows Media Center recognized as, because it is a hybrid TV tuner so when I click on the driver he recognizes as DMB-TH/DVB-T so its fine.

In any case, he now works correctly. It's a hybrid tuner, they asked me to install a program that allows me to switch between DVB - T and DMB - TH. So far it works well :)

    Thanks for your help.

  • Unable to sync music using Windows Media Center and Windows Media Player will not open

Media Center will not sync music!

I recently opened Media Center and I had no music in the library. I have constantly played music from the library so I didn't know what is happening. When I try installing the library again once it tells me that a necessary component for Windows Media Center is not available. I have not changed or downloaded something different. I went to check if Windows media Player is the multimedia file sharing. The message I get from that is, basically, that something is missing.  Now my Windows Media Player is not even opened. I wonder if my Zune Player (80 GB) has nothing to do with the problem. I charge my player when this has happened, but I do this all the time so I am at a loss. I went to the page "problem reports and Solution." It is the symbol of the Media Center window and says that the problem is caused by Windows. The solution is to update to windows; which I am fully updated. I tried to restore the system to an earlier date, but that doesn't work anymore. I'm at a loss to know what being of any help would be appreciated.

As a side note video playback, TV and photos also works very well in Media Center.

    Thank you

    Shay

    Thank you, Shay

    Hi Shay,

You can try the following steps and check the result:

Step 1: Run the sfc scan to repair system files missing and corrupt.

    a. Click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right click Guest and then click Run as administrator.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.

    b. type the following command and press ENTER: sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

For more information, visit this link:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833

If the problem persists, try the reconstruction of the library:

Step 2: Library rebuild Windows media player.

This problem can also occur if the library is corrupted. Rebuild the library and check if this solves the problem.

    Follow these steps:

    1. exit Windows Media Player.

    2. click on start, run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.

    3. Select all the files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.

Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

    4. restart Windows Media Player.

Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. exit Windows Media Player.

    2. click on start, run, type % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft, and then click OK.

    3. Select the Media Player folder, and then click on Delete on the file menu.

    4. restart Windows Media Player.

  • Low Audio when using Windows Media Center

Hello world.  I have a question.  When I play a movie DVD or CD or anything audio Windows Media Center on Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit Edition.  The Audio output is always half of what it is in other programs.

For example.  When I play music with windows media player, I let my volume of the speaker to about 2.5.  If I play a DVD movie on my computer, I put the volume on the speakers until about 5 # in order to hear the movie.  Then when I return to windows media player volume is very strong (of course because I turned it upward).

I checked all the audio properties (on the PC under windows), but I can't seem to get the audio level as well as the rest of the Windows Media Center computer?

No one knows what it wrong here?

    Thank you

    Hi karozans,

    Thanks for posting answers.microsoft.com

Make sure the appropriate selections are made in the DVD settings and codecs are correct for the file that is being read...

This is a lot of information on Windows Media Center, and the second link is information about the codecs.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/FAQ/codec.mspx

There are many different CODECS out there and search online, using your favorite search engine like www.live.com to "VISTA CODEC PACKS" can find the codec that you need to improve the sound on the videos that are currently playing.  When the right codec also be determine some codec download from a reliable source as the codecs are not created by Microsoft and can be obtained by a third party.

Please let us know if there is more need information on this issue, or if you do not download the correct codec for the system and the problem persists, please post this information in the forum as well.

    Hi Kimberley,.

Thanks for posting your question on the forum of the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

    1. What is the full error message when you say, "could not start"?
    2. have you made any changes to your computer hardware or software?

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:
Run this Microsoft fixit and check the issue.

  • Order a decoder DTA50 via Windows Media Center with an infrared transmitter/receiver Catherine-IR01

Recently I had to get a DTA50 to continue to get the channels should I get, so I can watch TV through my WinTV TV tuner. The problem is that the decoder is not connected directly to the computer, so I can't control it like this. I have a Catherine-IR01 transceiver and an IR control cable, which is connected to the transceiver. Windows Media Center, says it can't detect the IR hardware. Can someone tell what I am doing wrong?

I am unable to apply the change to the inf, I get an error saying that I can't make it writable. I have this play as an administrator, but can not modify or replace the .inf files.

Edit: Zero I could get around a bit by saving the input.inf file in a separate folder by copying and replacing in the inf folder. However, there is no file irbus.inf to edit, neither is it a medctroc.inf file.
Edit 2: OK, problem cleared up. It turns out that the problem was that it was misunderstanding my WinTV card double tuner as having two ties from boxes, and as such only found a single piece of hardware IR operation.
