V3 - 772 G-9808 vs V3 - 772 G-9820

Or NX. M74AA.009 vs NX. MMCAA.002 if you prefer SKU.

Someone with insight can provide details on the differences between these two machines.

I can say that the 9820 has somewhat newer i7 and the vs GTX 850 GT 750. What I can't understand is:

-That we're building more recent or otherwise improved the other? Or are they the same hunting?

-What is the 9808 DDR3 or DDR5 RAM? And why there 4 GB, for the 'better' graphics card in the 9820 less RAM?

-9820 there 2 x HDD SATA and a port of mSATA PIC-E as the 9808 don't? And can install windows on a SSD in the mSATA?

-J' I returned my 9808 because the ELAN touchpad is sensitive across the entire surface, which means that you can not have a rest finger ready to perform your mouse clicks, it causes the cursor jump or register a gesture of "multi-touch". Is the same 9820 ELAN touchpad?

A lot of questions I know, but I hope that someone smarter than me will be able to answer!

V3 - 772 G-9808 looks to come up with more memory system (12 GB) and has 4G - DDR3 video ram, while the V3 - 772 G-9820 comes with 8 GB and 2 GB memory DDR5 RAM video. The V3 - 772 G-9820 come with an i7 newer than the other, but I don't see a difference in huge performance between the two; 3.2 vs. clock speeds 3.3.

Yes the products use the same chassis. The product also uses the similar motherboard. If the product is not delivered with a device mSATA, I can't guarantee if the built-in port works.

    Hello! I have an Acer laptop V3 - 772 G-9820.

I accidentally uninstalled the EDT Ware support for my touchpad, and now I can't use my touchpad correctly. I can't drag the side or use two fingers down a Web page. • Satellite A60-772: SD - R6112 DVD - RW is not working properly

    Hello

I bought a Satellite A60 772 in September of last year. His Player DVD - RW SD - R6112 worked well upward until March 2005, some time; However, I only used to burn CD - R and CD - RW. Then all about March, I used it maybe twice to burn on DVD - RW using the RecordNow! supplied software.

There is no problem - so - but shortly after the player refuses to detect even the CD - RW and DVD - RW. I can now use only of the CD - R with it (have not checked with DVD-R). Since then, I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times and even reinstalled once the operating system (e.g. Windows XP Home Edition). I also updated the BIOS about a month ago. Still nothing.

-Someone - had a similar problem? And if you also have an idea how to solve this problem?

    Hello

If there is the same situation after the recovery process, I assume that there is some malfunction of the equipment. All that you have done is just. I think the warranty is still valid and the best solution is to contact the Service of your country partner and let check the drive.

Maybe the reader must be exchanged.

  • Acer Aspire V3 772 G BIOS grayed out

    Hello
I have a laptop Acer Aspire V3 (model G 772-9643), Acer sent me the recovery disks for. The first two steps they registered on the included sheet was to insert the disc labeled "System drive", then reboot and press F12 to get into the boot menu.

When F12 has not worked for me, I went into the BIOS with F2 and discovered that F12 Boot has been disabled. I tried to go down with the arrow, but couldn't. All the options are greyed out, even on the other sections in the menu of the BIOS. Time and date system were virtually the only things not greyed out. Until I have enable F12 I can not change the order of boot on CD/DVD and cannot start the process of recovery with Acer discs, so I'm completely stuck now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, it's urgent because I really need this laptop for the school that has already started. The laptop is very expensive, it is important that I try to repair rather than buy a new one.

Thanks in advance for any help

If you already save and exit the BIOS, enter the BIOS again and check if the options are still grayed out.

  • Failed to upgrade 10 Windows v3-772 - initialize not just crashes with the acer logo screen

    Hi guys

I just had my computer repair and the SSD has been changed. I was running 10 before windows and everything was perfect until an update in ruins everything. Long history does not in this

In any case I unstall all my software and do an update to windows 10. All the preparations and thus seems to be okay. Then it restarts and is stuck. Never of shots. I see the low activity of the HARD drive, but I let it run for 8 hours and still nothing, always gangs in the acer start window. It's once the bios loaded, because I can access that I'm fast and press f2.

After a while, I gave up and thought maybe it was just a fluke, so I used my recovery dvd and reinstalled my system and the Agency and the outlook and... After the installation of about 5 hours, my system was ready to go. So I decided lets try again. And once again same failure. Just crashes with the Logo of Acer.

I called Microsoft and they told to do me a startup repair. However it is not possible, I can get it in the repair mode, but none of the functions to work. Then they said that it was a material thing, but everywhere I look States the v3-772 should have no problem with the windows 10.

I'm normally pretty good to fix my own problems, but in order to fix a problem I need a mistake or error code or something to go for. Does anyone have an idea what to do?

    ncmohr,

I'm not completely sure what is the problem, but I'll tell you this.  When I look at Windows 10 drivers of Acer and BIOS for your computer model and see that there are some drivers Windows 8 and an old BIOS, it's really bad... especially if you try to get Windows 10 anniversary of working on your computer.

I don't have the model of your computer, but I'll give you a bunch of links that may or may not help you get a version of Windows 10 installed on your computer.

If you try to do a upgrade "on-site" Windows 8 for Windows 10 anniversary, then the link below and picture below might help... but I doubt it.

Edit: I don't know if you should be using the drivers on the Acer website to download or just use the updated drivers that Windows automatically gives you.  Or a combination of both.  Try to start with the drivers Microsoft gives you automatically.  It could take hours for you to understand... Unfortunately.

Edit2: On the Acer Web site, they gave you windows driver chipset 8.1 and Intel Management Engine Interface driver. And I suspect that the reason that they did is because they don't have to update your BIOS.

  • Aspire driver v3 - 772 g problems

    Hello

You just bought an Acer Aspire v3 - 772 g (8 GB of RAM, GTX 760 M Nvidia GPU) without OS.

Installed Win 8 & all drivers. Was working fine until I upgraded my BIOS in 1,05 to 1.11. Was a stupid mistake. Now my laptop get a BSD every 5 minutes or more. Not able to work at all. Several times tried reinstaling & drivers windows

The main problem seems to be the Intel VGA drivers. The problems begin as soon as I install the VGA drivers downloaded from ACER. When I install the generic Intel HD 4600 drivers from Intel, the BSD are reduced but not eliminated. But the light flashes a lot where I get eye strain.

When I turn off the graphics card Intel HD 4600 of the control panel all seem to be stable. But then the laptop is more as useful as a chormebook.

Someone knows a solution? In some forum I saw this demotion to 1.08 BIOS sloves the problem. But don't know if I should attempt it.

I also read in other forums that many have problems with V3 - 772 G. May be I would return the laptop one get another brand.

    Concerning

    Sri

    Solved *.

I've downgraded to version 1.08 of the BIOS. Required a quite a bit of courage to do it on a laptop brand new. But the laptop runs as smooth as ice, and runs continuously for 6 hours without any BSOD or the screen flickers. Installed lots of software and play games too.

So far not a single problem.

For all those who think of a BIOS upgrade.

    1. never upgrade BIOS if your system works well.

    2 first create recovery media.

3 create custom images to preserve your applications (use recimg. Google for help). If possible, store the image in a different patition.

  • Acer Aspire V3 - 772 G BIOS upgrade (Linux OS)

    Hello

I have V3 - 772-G laptop computer with linux on it. My question is: how to upgrade the bios to version 1.15? Can I use something like Hiren's BootCD with windows XP of the Mini?

    Thank you.

I found no InsydeFlash for linux, so I flash with Hiren's BootCD with windows XP of the Mini. BIOS has been on a USB flash drive, because the hard drives were not detected.

    Thank you.

  • Screen of V3 - 772 g Acer problem

Hello everyone, I encountered a strange problem with my Acer V3 - 772 g. It seems that the screen "flickers" with bars that cross the screen.

While the majority of the time, it is not visible to the naked eye. In some situations, the problem can be quite apparent and strain in my eyes a little.

Through the lens of a camera, it becomes completely visible, and comparison with photos and videos I've seen of him I can conclude that it is abnormal defintely.

I have tried several attempts to solve this problem, as the installation of the latest drivers, the laptop restore factory setting and even the BIOS update. However, none of them seem to have an effect.

I have, however, found that when the safe boot mode flickering does not occur.

If anyone can give me any suggestions, I would be very grateful.

    Thank you.

    Hi p1f1313

Then, it seems to be a bad connection from the motherboard to the screen. Acer support is world-wide, so care must always be able to help.

Let us know how you go!

  • V3 772 g 9653 mSATA size

I solved my problem of not being able to get in the BIOS by using the reboot of Windows 8 method of BIOS and disable FAST BOOT now to F2 and F12 on startup and I am now ready to install an SSD.

Windows keeps telling me that I'm about to no longer receive updates for it and must get to Windows 10 and after seeing all the problems I had with this model will 8.1 have no intention of ruining a machine works perfectly fine for trying to get the update. Therefore, I want to put a SSD in and fresh install Windows 10 before leaving the existing drive intact.

I'm at mSATA SSD as the price of the HARD Drive Caddy is OUTRAGEOUS and may as well buy a more expensive mSATA since standard SSD + Caddy = $$$ more. However, there seems to be 3 sizes, and as I was about to buy is available in 48 mm, 60 mm and 80 mm flavors.

What is the correct size for mSATA 772g?

    Hello

Careful, you confuse m2 with the ones mSata form factors. The 772 G have mSATA not M.2 slot.

And it's a normal mSATA don't slot not a mini, as I can see here: https://raywoodcockslatest.wordpress.com/2013/11/06/acer-aspire-v3-772g-9829-hardware/

So you will need a player of mSATA with 51 mm. not a m2 (which, Yes, can be 22mmx48mm 22 x 60 mm or 22 x 80 mm).

  • Aspire V3 772 G overheating

Hi there and a happy new year to all.

My Acer Aspire V3 772 G I bought 18 months ago begins to behave very strangely and I would like to know if anyone has experience that they can share or no solution to offer.

The machine began to run more slowly and I have no idea why. I updated Norton antivirus, a lot of space on the drive hard, defragment the drive and try to keep all software up-to-date.

The other, potentially related question, I is overheating. When I run some online games, the left side of the laptop gets very hot and I checked the temperature at approximately 100 degrees C, then the machine stops without any warning. I already use a stand with a blower.

The only thing I can think of that may be the cause is out-of-date drivers. When I check in the Device Manager it says that all drivers are up to date and this is confirmed when I look on the Acer site. However, when I go to the Intel site it is said that there are more drivers for the integrated graphics card. Should I ignore the information from Acer and install new drivers?

Is there anything else that might cause these problems?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    TobyL,

If you experience slow performance and feel that it is related to overheating, so I will try to clean the vents as if the air flow is limited it can cause poor air circulation which in turn create questions overheating. I recommend a can of condensed air (specific to electronics) and use it to try to blow the dust and accumulate.

Regarding the driver, you can use the Intel graphics driver that can help improve some performance, but we would not be able to provide support for this driver.

If the problem persists, I recommend to contact our technical support in your region for assistance.

  • DVD drive for Aspire E5 - 772

About 200 years when I was in high school, I used to read the giant Computer shopper magazine, and I remember a small business called Acer. I decided that they had been around for a long time and I would give them a shot.

It was my first purchase of laptop that wasn't a Thinkpad. I regret already and probably never buy another non-ThinkPad again (even if they are also went cheaper digustingly on their range of products).

That said, I bought for my son as a gaming computer so I expected to be sufficient. Anyway, the E5 - 772 g I got my son for about $600 is not a DVD player. I chatted with the Acer support and low and behold, they couldn't give me a reference number or a URL where I could find the spare parts. It is not in all the textbooks, and they gave me a number to call the company of parts randomly who had a real answering machine recording of calls.

Nary a site with a part of player optical for the E5-772 except some pretty weak looking site in the United Kingdom and even prayers to Google not provided virtually no link.

    (1) what they do compatible readers and what are the numbers?

    (2) why the Acer support is so useless?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Here are the part numbers of the ODD units (cable, screws, and support modules ODD and bezel):

  • Acer aspire e5 - 772 g-76ed

I bought a aspire e5 - 772 g-76ed. It is not an optical drive. What optical drive model will work with it, and where can I get a bezel?

Here's the ODD modules reference numbers:
