Valerie high CPU

Hello

What is the process/usr/libexec/logd? It consumes a high percentage of CPU:

After 4 hours of high processor, I restarted my laptop and now the process uses more high percentage of cpu. I guess it's a bug in MacOs Sierra

Use El Capitan successfully for several months, 10.11.1 to 10.11.3 migration. However, the upgrade to 10.11.4 led to relatively stable high CPU.

In particular, I see process launchd (about 75%), UserEventAgent (70%) and mds_stores (30%) CPU consumption at that rate there essentially all the time, the % overall slowed down when do nothig is about 45% - therefore on an end of 2014 retina iMac 27 inches with Fusion drive. Despite this, everything works still with reasonable performance, probably because there is still spare CPU capacity.

Try each of them in order. A test to see if the computer works properly:

    1. Reset the PRAM
    2. Reset the controller (SMC) system management
    3. Start the computer in Safe Mode, and then restart normally. It's slower than a standard home.
    4. Repair the disk by booting to the recovery HD immediately after the chime press keys control and R that the Utility Menu appears. Choose disk utility and click on the button continue. Select the withdrawal (usually Macintosh HD) volume entry of the list to one side.  Click first aid button in the toolbar. Hold the button brings up. Disk utility and return in the Utility Menu. Restart the computer from the Apple Menu.
    5. Reinstall OS X by booting from the Recovery HD using the command and R keys. When the Utility Menu appears, select reinstall OS X and then click continue.
    6. Download and install updated Combo OS X El Capitan 10.11.4.
  • Satellite P300-212 - system causes the periodic high CPU load

Windows Vista Edition Home Premium (OEM) on the Toshiba Satellite P300-212

Even on a system Windows freshly installed (from recovery DVDs), the system process (PID 4, NT Kernel & System) causes on a regular basis (every five minutes) a CPU load high for a few seconds, during which the system hangs, not even the mouse pointer can be moved.
Sysinternals Process Explorer identifies the thread of high load as "ntkrnlpa.exe! ExfTryAcquirePushLockShared + 0 x 15 2 "with the thread ID 20 or 24.

Does anyone have an explanation for this behavior or a solution to the problem?

    Hey,.

If you have installed Windows recovery disk Toshiba but still high CPU usage? Hmm that's strange because this image is tested by Toshiba

Have you installed or uninstalled any software or tools?
I uninstall the current antivirus and disable some start up programs you n t need in msconfig. Usually, this should work.

  • Tecra M2 - stop hard on high CPU (turns off with no BSOD)

Experienced stops consistent when the CPU is running at full during a little while.
-J' mean 'stops' complete power cut with no blue screen of death where all is lost and the computer must be restarted manually.
-by "high CPU", I mean when the processor locks to full use such that when you insert a column in a big Excel sheet with errors or if you want a large number of files and you open a video from the network or when you run a registry scan and antivirus analysis at the same time.

The problem took place regularly for a few months and I can now make a case with greater predictability. Using the hardware monitor suite 'Everest', it seems that the problem occurs when the temperature of the CPU is located at 99 for more than a minute or more.

This happens with some, but never when batteries run - then attempts to force the error, it will not be stopped if the power cable is released just before the drop point.

In the cases of the problem, it seems to be a small error message appearing only a fraction of a second before the death of the computer.

Each reference forum and help that I read would suggest the problem is related material and that the chip or the motherboard is overheating and need replacement. While the laptop is almost 18 months old, I bought a new ' everything except the screen and HDD "earlier this year, and was not prepared to accept the explanation without more tests.

Kantonix Linux works very well and the CD starts seems to tax the processor as much as the same events that kill for me under XP.

A few weeks back, I installed Windows XP on a second HARD drive in the Bay of hotswappable and noted the installation seems to work pretty hot computer and he died during the process. It has experienced no difficulties for while but, a few days after moving the HARD drive reinstalled in the primary position and after you have reinstalled a lot a lot of applications, the error started happening again.

Last night I caught a few fractions of a second before the death, the pulling power and stop the process and allow me to see the error message (as mentioned above):

-first message came from "TOSHIBA Power Saver" saying "a fatal error occurred at x 06" (not sure about the last bit) ".

-second message was "THotkey.exe' saying 'could not load powrprof.dll.

-monitoring of several hundred cases of the second message.

Because of the error messages, I was not able to get a print screen.

Solutions or even on ideas that would be very appreciated!

    Hello

According to your explanations and the information in your ad, I think that the problem is related to the software.
You wrote something about energy saving. This Toshiba utility controls the speed of the CPU and the use of cooling modules.
I think that this request could be responsible by the judgments. Try reinstalling this utility.
In addition, check the configuration of the unique power plans. If you work only with battery energy saver using another mode of power supply as working on AC.
I think you could check these consumption patterns and configure it.

Verification of the cooling module is also not a bad idea. Maybe fans cannot work properly because of the dust and debris inside the books.
I use the vacuum cleaner to clean the fans. CA? s an easy way to make it free of dust.
But if you get it, you must be careful.

  • Qosmio F60 - alert constantly high CPU usage

    Hello

About 12 months ago, I bought a Toshiba Qosmio F60 computer laptop 6 GB.

When exploring using games, facebook etc, I am constantly alert of my Norton informing that there is high CPU usage.

I have asked around locally and advised to delete Norton because this may be the problem. I'm not eager to do what my subscription is still valid.

I also learned the other day that this is a common problem with laptops Toshiba using 'Explorer' and that I should use "Mozilla Firefox" instead which would correct the problem.

I am trying to arrange this.

Can you please indicate if it is a regular problem with Toshiba laptops and reviewing the options above to try to address this problem.

It doesn't really seem to my computer, it goes more slowly and when in the Manager tasks, it is constantly fluctuating between 5 and 35%

I look forward for your reply.

    Thank you

    Melissa

    Hello

This isn't a problem laptop buddy
Norton AntiVirus is a good antivirus program, but it uses a lot of resources and my experience locks the CPU.

I removed this antivirus software and now I m using the avast and Avira Antivir free Antivirus software. Both are freeware software.

But I still use Internet Explorer. Of course, I also installed the firefox and chrome. All these three browsers are great.

  • Satellite A 110 is suspended due to high CPU temperatures

    Hello

My computer is hung up on me while running certain applications (such as Dreamweaver CS3) or other situations in which work the CPU at maximum performance. I suspect that the reason is high CPU temperatures and indeed download several CPU, monitor applications (like thermal analyst intel) my average CPU temperature is around 61 degrees (Celsius), and before the computer hangs (instantly - just completely stop lose power), it reaches very high and not necessairly after working for a long time.

    My questions:
    1. is this a known problem with this model?
    2. is there anything I can do to limit this problem and avoid data loss?

    Thanks in advance,

I think you will need to contact the ASP in your country for assistance.
In your case maybe the cooling module may not work correctly. Probably the thermal grease that is placed between the CPU and the cooling module must be renewed.

All these things need to be clarified.
    So call it the ASP.

  • DAQmx read results 2 ms/s in high CPU usage

I have an application that reads the 32 channels of 2 ms/s analog input signals, at the same time. The actual hardware will be: SMU-8135 Win7, chassis SMU-1071, 2 x SMU-6368 (16 channels). The SMU-two 6368 will provide 32 channels data acquisition.

I don't have the material at the moment, but I've been estimate the processor on the alternative configurations needs, because I have concerns about the use of the CPU to data acquisition high speed. Two alternative configurations are:

    (1) SMU-8133 (quad core) WinXP, SMU-1062 q, PXI-6133.

    (2) PXI-8106 (dual-core) WinXP, PXI-6133, PXI-1042.

Note: PXI-6133 supports high speed HAVE 2 ms/s, at the same time.

I wrote a simple continuous data acquisition software to allow me to compare the CPU usage. The sample rate and the number of channels are configurable. What I found is:

    (1) at low sampling frequency, for example 100 kech. / s, the CPU usage is minimal on both configurations (bicoeur or image), regardless of the number of channels is 1 or 8. The reading of the CPU was about 1-4%

    (2) at high sampling frequency, for example 2 ms/s, what is the number of channels used, either 1 or 8, the CPU utilization was 50% for dual core and 25% for the quad core, IE. a full core has been fully utilized.

    (3) the passage of the low use of the processor (<5%) to="" high="" cpu="" usage="" (="">45%) increases when the sampling rate is rather steep and shows interesting channel-dependence (note the following has been achieved with a PXI-8106 controller, dual-core).

    • @1 channel, it happened between 950 to 970 k
    • @2 channels, it happened between 470 to 480 k
    • @4 channels, it happened between 230 to 240 k,.
    • @8 channels, it happened between 120 to 130 k.

This model reminds me of buffer length related question but I double checked a sufficient length of the buffer was used. He suggested also, surprising a few traffic jams occurred when the amount of data increases up to certain level.

My question is, is this a problem with this particular card (PXI-6133) or driver DAQmx (9.5.5f4). How the problem is when I'm doing an acquisition of 32 channels?

For your information, I have attached the benchmarking software.

    Thank you!

    Donghui Yin

I followed this example code (see link below) and used based on events DAQmx, now the excessive CPU utilization problem has been resolved. Playback from the CPU is now less than 10 percent, while it could be 50% (in the case of dual-core) or 25% (case of hearts) at the same sample rate and number of channels.

    OT: svctimesag.

    Hi team,

In one of our Production Server is a process called "svctimesag.exe" using high CPU. This problem has been detected the day before.

For immediate solution, we killed the process, but it did not help, then you need to restart our server.

In the past 24 hours this process has shoot to the top of the CPU twice and you need to restart the server with force.

Also searched the Internet but found no information. The location of the file on the server is C:\Program Files (x86)\Products\svctimesag\svctimesag.exe

We organize engine on the server management application. We also opened the case with them to know the process.

If any user face any problem with that part of process please your valuable troubleshooting strike.

  • Is short boot fail reason (error 1000-0146) Office of glitter and high cpu?

Dell inspiron 6000. Windows xp professional sp 3. Three weeks ago, my computer started loud beep on startup and sparkle of the desktop icons. The touchpad has stopped working for a while, but most of the time which is fixed. I installed malwarebytes' eliminating about four Trojan horses and tried to update all the drivers. I did a restore of the system about 3 times. When I ran a test drive, there was a failed test short boot 1000-0146 error. When my app icons start to Flash my cpu jumps to 100%. Pressing any key usually stopped for a bit. Is this a compatibility issue with my software or the failure of short boot is the cause. Help!

    Hi Nutmeg30,

    • Did you the latest changes on the computer?
    • You have security software installed on the computer?

Learn more about the test of startup failures see link below on the Dell site and check if it helps.

Pre Boot System Assessment (PSA) Diagnostics and Error Codes for Dell computers

    http://support.Dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/KCS/document?docid=DSN_300428&isLegacy=true

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the flickering and high CPU utilization issue.

I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

  • High CPU usage by "System outages" and missing keystrokes in IE on all new HP laptop 15-r085nd

I recently bought a HP15-r085nd (Win 8.1 with Bing), and right out of the box, I encountered this problem:

After the awakening of the mode (usually after the first time to wake from sleep mode, but always after the second time), the process "System outages" has high utilization of the processor, up to 45%. The laptop then responds very, very slow. In addition, in Internet Explorer (but only in Internet Explorer, it seems!) strikes are missing out.

    I tried the following:

-Implementation of all the updates of Windows, all McAfee updates and all of the updates from HP Assistent. No results.

-Reinstall all the drivers, no results. Windows system restore: no result. Factory reset the recovery partition: no result. Then implemented all the updates again: no result.

-J' tried to use Microsoft Xperf to diagnose the problem: it seems wdf0100.sys to blame for the high CPU usage. (In other words, if I have interpreted the results in the right way).

-J' then did some troubleshooting with Microsoft Support: they asked me to disable all startup items in the Task Manager and disable all non-Microsoft services in msconfig. The result was that the high CPU usage of "System interrupts" occurred less frequently after the first time out of the way 'sleep', but still she always had after the second time to wake off mode 'sleep'. Uninstallation of McAfee seems to have the same effect, by the way.

-J' then did some troubleshooting with the store were I bought it. They used a pilot program to install newer versions of the drivers. Also, in vain.

Then they gave me another laptop of the same model (r085nd). It had exactly the same problems. So I think that all laptops of this model have the same problem! Does anyone know of a similar case with a laptop similar?

-J' then did some troubleshooting with HP support. We have updated the BIOS (F.24), without result. We have made a few updates to additional drivers on the HP site, no results. We wanted to update the graphic driver Intel HD (sp65598), but we couldn't install it, an error message saying: minimum system requirements were not satisfied.

I hope that the HP support can arrive at a solution (they wanted to deepen this). If so, I'll promise to post it here, because it affects probably other r085nd HP as well.

In the mean time, I'd appreciate any suggestions, because I'm totally confused now. Someone at - it ideas? I will answer all the answers!

I was contacted by HP Support again. After a new series of updates which included some updates everything new on the site of HP is solved the problem with high CPU usage by "system outages"!

We have done several updates, so I know not that exactly solved the problem, but it is those:

-New firmware BIOS: version F.33 (my bet would be that is the one that solves the problem)

-New Intel chipset driver: 1.20 (sp69575.exe)

-New driver Intel HD Graphics: 1.20 (sp69589.exe): 10.18.10.3958 (this one tried earlier, without solving the problem)

-New driver Realtek card reader: 1.20Ap3 (sp69610.exe)

I hope this helps other people with the same problem.

Thanks to the HP Support team for their help with this problem!

Moreover, the problem of lack of strikes in Internet Explorer (more use of CPU (any reason), the sequences of keys more are not registered!) still exists! I work around this problem by using Google Chrome. Again, I hope that this issue might get resolved as well! I nevertheless marks it as "Resolved" as the main problem is resolved.

  • Flag 23: Dealing with "high CPU usage." How can I reduce this?

Hi, I have a HP Pavailion 23 which has been given to me as a gift. Therefore, I don't know. All I know is I'm a player who likes to play games based on Java and possibly watch the videos at the same time, when I try to do the lagg is important. I get notifications saying that Chrome has high CPU usage. I read something about changing my BIOS settings? I'm not sure.

I would appreciate help on this. I have dealt with the hand of single task Forcers and I find it quite annoying.
    Thank you!!
