  Hello - I use the latest version of Adobe Illustrator CC on Windows 7. I need to make a text box with columns to 32.875 w x 20 h. I use the text tool, draw the box at that size and then open the "type area options" dialog box to specify the column number, gutter width etc. and it automatically resizes the text to 13.888 box w x 13,889 h without fault. I try to type the right width and height in the appropriate space and I hear the windows "error". When I click on 'Preview' show me the box of text resized to 13.888x13.999 so I don't see what I'm doing. It's infuriating, please, someone else had this problem?

  I see your post that this is not happening when you print a test page, so I think the problem is somehow related to the driver or program that you use. Let's start with the HP print and Scan Doctor is a free utility (tool) that allows to quickly resolve problems printing, scanning and connectivity, including but not limited to:

    USB: Check that the USB connection from your computer to the HP product works properly.

  The best way to speed up your computer is to eliminate startup items which are unnecessarily run at startup.  Go to start | Search and type msconfig and then see what is running at startup and what other services are underway then as well.  You can eliminate selectively and then evaluate how fast your computer runs.

  I am using Window7 and I got some of my encrypted files by opening the properties of the file and selecting the encryption option. I have not had any problems so far, but all of a sudden I can't open my encrypted files. There is an error message indicating "cannot open the document: user does not have access privileges. But I have no other user account on my computer and I am logged in with my administrator profile.   It seems that you have installed Acrobat XI pro as an upgrade and an upgrade you will need a serial number for a product older Acrobat X, etc. 9:

  Also, I checked with your Adobe ID on the forums and I can only locate XI of Acrobat pro upgrade recorded, please check if you have registered an earlier version of Acrobat on some another email to get this serial number.
