  • Z240 SFF (V1Z87PA): Z240 SFF - caddy/insert for disk 3,5 '' HARD in

Hi, I am wanting to install 2 x 3.5 "hard drives in my new Z240 SFF workstation.

There is a Bay that already came with an insert and one of the new disks slots in this very well.

"However she looks like some sort of insertion/caddy is necessary for the Bay external/internal' shared 3.5" ", because it is too big for the Hello.adb of the player to crack. It seems that this Bay is dimensioned for a kind of optical discs.

I called HP and their parts of people here in Australia, but no one can find the part needed.

    Can you please help?

HP use guides drive insulation elastomer for the sliding of the hard disks in slots in SFF desktop for some time, and adding these for the screw holes of 4 threaded area of a disk HARD caused the need for the metal, as they slide is wider than a 3.5 "drive by almost exactly 1/2 inch when you consider both sides.  If you go on eBay and look for 450712-001, you'll see a bunch of these.  Form factor 3.5 "hard drives still use #6-32 (coarse thread) UNC screws, and it is this than screw silver and blue, rubber vibration insulators are at HP.

Hard drives 2.5 "SSD and optical drives use metric threaded screws M3 instead and HP Color screws for black ones.  Those who are much more difficult to find... Note the more fine metric thread that you can see at the bottom a:

There is a HP kit that I fell that appears to fit your form factor 3.5 "/ exit Bay that is equipped with a receiver that accepts the scrolling images we can screw a 2.5 form factor" SATA HDD or SSD in.  This can be a great way to create backups to disable storage on site, or just to have removable storage.  I use Icy Dock a device like this, and HP has used the Icy Dock products too.  That's what I use, and it fits perfectly into the HP 3.5 "form factor disk Bay on the former positions of work and also fits the 5 HP, 25 - to-3, 5" form factor converters for the new HP workstations... HERE.

http://www.ICYDOCK.com/goods.php?id=162 I guess you would still need 4 of these arrangements of cursor to do, too.  However, you can only really one large HARD drive storage there hidden behind the front plastic.

Included with your Z240 SFF it may be #6-32 spare isolation player guides screwed into the metal frame hidden under the Panel front of the work station... HP stored spare parts there are other SFF workstations.  Take a peek...

  • UDS RoutineControl VI a/d converters

    Hello Experts,

I use an a/d converters for the automation of the diagonositc of our ECU, I implemented byID read data, write data by ID and a lot more. But geeting a problem in the implementation of Routine inspections.

Even if VI that gives no error at all, but I'm also not reciving success true or false (normally in the other screws we recive positive response so the mistake isn't here and if we receive the negative response from the cluster of error displays error).

the code that is affected and the error is cleared is-8270. What can be the reason for the same thing.

Aid will be apprecited and thanks in advance.

    Hi all

I find the error and I passed a value to the DATA in the terminal in the form of an array of 0; should not be the case in our ECU, my fault, but good to know it all.

  • uplinks - fiber to Ethernet converters

    Hello

I plan to use the fiber to Ethernet converters for all rising 25 and will connect to WS-C3750X-48PF-S.

I got WS-C3750X-24 s - E in mind but need of copper as well as connections to connect routers and some other systems.

Is it a good idea to use these converters for all uplinks or should I consider WS-C4506-E?

You can look at the X 4500 also. They work very well as a distribution switch. Personally, I would stay away from media converters. It's one thing to fail and the majority of them have little visibility when something is not bad. However, if you decide to go with them I would look at Transition Networks.

  • Click satellite Mini L9W - B - 3 weeks and battery bomb

Bought for my Satellite click Mini about three weeks of the Amazon in the United Kingdom. Very happy with it so far. After three weeks of activities abroad to travel in Asia, I just noticed that the back of the screen section of the shelf is bulging slightly where I think the battery is. It is visible under the right lighting conditions and can also be felt.

I had an iPhone that has had this problem before, but I didn't expect this to happen so fast on a three week old machine. I use only the adapter packed to load, but also use plug converters for different regions where I traveled. Couple of questions...

    (1) someone else had this problem with the bulging battery? Or am I just imagining this and everyone is also like that?
    (2) I am not able to return to the United Kingdom until that sometime in December, but really need this machine to work etc. If the battery is gone, it will be semi safe to use until I can get this back to Toshiba?

Would love to hear that everybody knows

  • Can I use several adapters to convert a Firewire 400 in Thunderbolt connection?

I have a firewire 400 device I want to connect to a Thunderbolt connection.  Can I use several converters for first shot of firewire 400 and 800, and then use the Apple firewire 800 adapter Thunderbolt?  Otherwise, any other suggestions?

Perhaps, but not all cards can work in tandem. But why waste time and money. A FW 400 device won't run any faster on Thunderbolt. Why do you need to do this, and do you have looked for a better solution?

  • Intend to upgrade my z620 with a boot SSD disk (and maybe a new series of processors) - advice?

Much as I love my z620, having a SATA boot drive is painful, once you have become accustomed to instant gratification of SSD.

I plan to buy an Intel SSD and a stand-alone version of of64-bit Windows 7 to go with it. My plan is to do a clean install of the operating system and applications on the SSD (assuming that I can make it work). Is this what I need to know it's HP Workstation specific in order to complete this upgrade? I guess I need to enable the AHCI in the BIOS (J61 v03.69).

Another question - I currently have two UC E5-2620 (these are the Xeons V1). I want to upgrade these high V2s of range at some point in the future. I think that systems with older BIOS are not able to upgrade, but I think that my installed BIOS is a newer version (end of autumn, 2013).  I agree that any upgrade would be at my own risk and I would like to get the thoughts of others about the feasibility of this.

First of all, at this later date of starting block that you provide in your second post it seems that, like you can make v2 upgrades.  There is the old 1 1 most recent trunk block versions of the motherboard Z620 date and you can search in the forum here to say from the BIOS easily if you have the original or revision 1 motherboard.  I think that you already know the answer on that.

This is important: I hope that you have the original SATA drive it HP supplied with the workstation.  Which is a HP Recovery partition which you can see on disk management in the Device Manager.  This partition, you can create optical disks or even a bootable USB key that will allow you to rebuild from scratch a clone of the W7Pro64 which should / could come from the factory.  Who is a clone facility and has this title the OEM W7Pro64 COST so that it activates.  It's a generic COST.   You don't need to spend 140.00 to get W7Pro64... you have probably already under the terms of your purchase Z620.

The value of this COST is that you can clean reinstall that way and a clone of your new installation can be imaged and even placed on an another Z620 and it will activate it too (be sure to respect the conditions of use for such things).  Because it's the OEM COA clone in question here you can make clones/backups with ease.

You can do your own build directly on a new SSD at this "Recovery" approach, and the installer will know what to do.  You should already have your emulation of BIOS SATA RAID value + equivalent AHCI... for sure you want that, to get the benefits that come with the new SSD SATA/readers.  A generation of SSD Z620 we have recently received from HP has a C400 Micron 256 GB SSD from the factory.  I got older versions of HP of this SSD of eBay, made a low level of DBAN reformatting, so a format NTFS (long type) and updated the firmware to the same level as that on this new SSD HP (070 H).  There is a firmware update HP to do this with, which works very well.  You need to do the update with the HP update if it's an HP OEM SSD.

Finally, there are different converters for the SSD is a form factor 3.5 "2.5".  HP has some devices "slide-in" way too expensive for this ("tool-less"), but I posted here on the HP screw equivalent which has exactly the same interface of BlindMate to sheets of data/SATA power of Z620 than mesh disk drawers with... Search eBay for "hp 2.5 to 3.5" and these work perfectly in the Z620 therefor.»  It is now my favorite device.

processors v2... I hope that someone else will pay for those.  Not cheap.

  • Y at - it a simple way to update my old DRM protected songs to non - DRM?

I have about 500 songs protected with DRM in my iTunes library that I would like to upgrade. I have considered various options. I like simple. I don't want Apple music and the library of Cloud, and I don't want iTunes game. I don't want to make CD and load it into iTunes. I don't want to buy music elsewhere as I already bought at iTunes. I looked at various converters for Mac DRM, and they look like the best option for now. Before you buy one of these, I missed something. I read in various allows, at the same time, you could upgrade all your DRM songs to non - DRM iTunes somehow, but can not know that one. Is there a simple way to solve this problem? Devices just Apple and software will play those songs.

    Hello

The easiest way to upgrade your iTunes Store purchases, is to subscribe to iTunes game. Your iTunes library is analyzed to determine what can be improved. Previous purchases that can be upgraded will be either the iCloud 'Bought' or 'Matching' State. Then, you select Delete DOWNLOAD, see download icon. If the tracks is updated you will see change the transmission speed of 128 to 256 Kbps. Then, you select make available offline to download the new version. Be aware that a small number of titles isn't expandable.

  • Blackfin multiple SPI devices

    Hi guys:

Sorry to post this question, but I really can't get it to work!

I can configure each SPI device and they work only, when I try to config 2 devices, I can't just two lines of CS to go up!

Note: Here is my code, I choose slave select 4 so it is easily accessible via SPI connector to the Board of Directors (PIN 14)... SS1 is pin 9!

    Thanks in advance

I like your "main.vi" instrument, but unfortunately, I think the AD7476A driver was not designed with several converters a/d in mind, let's dig a little deeper.

"Declaring Slave Select" command limits the value 1-7, because the SPI device can drive directly only this amount of devices, each of them being validated in accordance with the SPI_FLAG registry. Notice that in the DMA transfer mode (case of pilot AD7476A) CPHA = 0 and SS pins are automatically selected at the beginning of each transfer: for each bit set to one in SPI_FLAG a low pulse will be generated to the corresponding pin! (These bits are set on a per activate slave select or declare slave).

He had been great if playback turn slaves, but isn't.

I'm in the island you will not wait 1 MSP for all a/d converters. The AD7476A conversion time is determined by the clock series: the pilot sets the SPI clock on the sampling frequency of 16 times. This is why must be given a higher value in the sample spent at BF AD7476A Control.vi clock:
For a system with converters a/5 n and 100 KSPS value must be 500000. Inter-channel delay is in this case 2 microseconds, so the difference in time between the first sample of the first string and 5th Channel is 8 us (almost equal to the sampling period), this could be a problem in some applications.

However, more information is available in the description of the material (ADSP-BF537 Blackfin processor Hardware Reference ), documentation of device driver (C:\Program Analog Devices Devices\VisualDSP 5.0\Blackfin\docs), and drivers of source code (C:\Program Analog Devices Devices\VisualDSP 5.0\Blackfin\lib\src\drivers). Here, I would just say it seems circular buffer are not taken (see VisualDSP 5.0\Blackfin\docs \spi\adi_spi_int.pdf and adi_spi_dma.pdf) and move to solutions:

1 reconfigure the SPI to use interrupts and use reminders to go through program slaves using BF SPI Control.vi "Select/deselect"slave"(of course, each of the ointments pins must"Declare Slave Select"with BF AD7476A Control.vi or"Activate Slave Select"using BF SPI Control.vi). This will add overhead and, depending on the sampling frequency, you may lose a few samples. Also, there is a limit of only 7 slaves.

    2. turn on DMA for a single word and switch slaves in the callback after each conversion result (of course, this will have the same disadvantages as #1).

    3. Add a simple external hardware to automatically select the a/d converters (for example a counter + decoder clocked by one of the seven pins SS and reset using EIO). Then play with stamps to identify channels (example buffers 1 d with 5 items for converters a/5 n). This will add less overhead, reminders will trigger once a sample of all channels was acquired (or even better after n samples, if the length of the buffer is nx5, etc..)

All of these solutions, to open and close AD7476a driver only once in the 'main.vi.

#1 and #2 similar to your posted solution above but the command must be select/deselect for interruptions and toggle for DMA. The slaves should be put in exactly at the end/beginning of each word received.

  • synchronization-2 acquisition channels

    Hi all!

I work with the following vi. to acquire the data of different channels. I have a device USB-6009 where I am reading data and independent, I'm generating a string containing data in a Boolean control, that I built myself.

I'm saving the data from both channels into a single file PDM. What I realized by looking through the data collected from tiara, is the storage of the data of the two channels does not start at the same time (the difference is very small).

Is it possible to avoid this? In this case, I'd appreciate your help.

Thank you very much in advance,

    Miren

(Exactly simultaneous) simultaneous sampling analog input is not possible with the USB-6009.  There are essentially two types of analog sampling that can be done with any Board/card/hardware DAQ. 1) simultaneous (or independent) sampling, or sample 2) overall.  The difference has to do with the type of analog-to-digital converters on the map.

Simultaneous (or independent) sampling (that usually lists the rate of samples/s/Channel) has several analog digital converters for each channel and can therefore acquire each channel at the same time.

Aggregate of sampling (listing generally at the rate that some samples/s) was generally an analog digital resource, and each channel must 'share' the sense of resources only a channel can acquire a sample of data at any given time.  If the rate of "samples/s" is shared between all channels.  If you sample 2 channels, the resource analysis on these two arms as fast as she can to acquire the two samples (one each way), but there is always a delay between each sample (that delay must be equal in contrast to devices sampling sample/sec speed).

    I hope this helps.

  • Update proposes to update the programs that I don't have?

My title is not completely true.
I have Microsoft Works 9. During the installation of 9, he asked '' If '' I wanted the converters for Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. I said YES.
Now "update" is the Power Point Viewer and MS Office compatibility pack updates that are 35 MB of SNU.
I went to the page updated and found these two. They showed 1.5 MB file size 35 MB each.
Can I assume that if I let the update run that it will be selective in what I need and not dumping 70 + MB a program I don't have?
    Thank you

    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

It is above all an extension of Adobe: http://www.fileinfo.com/extension/pdd.  None of these programs can open files.

Here is a free product that I think will do the trick (although it does not specifically say the DPS files, I read an article from someone who has exactly your problem and this product was recommended: http://www.xnview.com/en/xnview.html.)

The following willl convert files DP in more readable (like JPG) file types- but it's a commercial product (even if it has a 30 day free trial, then maybe you can accomplish what you need in this period and then cancel the trial) - and then find a way to burn photos using a different file type. http://www.batchconverter.com/,

Here is a link to a bunch of file viewers and converters for Windows free (but I can't tell if they are compatible with Vista or if they deal with the DPS files because they do not provide enough information. http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/imageviewfreewin/Free_Image_Viewers_and_Browsers_for_Windows.htm,
