~ 9 years, HP Officejet Pro 8500, it'll work on Windows 8?

Fantastic printer and much work, unfortunately the computer it is attached to the least.

Can find converters for the capture of port printer 25 pin to USB, but need to know if it will work on Windows 8 (or even 7) if the appropriate drivers are installed and likely updated for 64-bit Windows 8.

Thank you in advance.

Gabriall,

Yes, all things being equal, the printer will run in Windows 8 or Windows 7 - your choice.

I saw many older posts on this topic (device connected to another program or device) and have waited and waited to see if finally HP allocate updates to allow the HP Solution Center work again for analysis, rather than having to use the very limited windows scan app.   It seems that all the solutions proposed to uninstall and then reinstall all gave a lot of aggravation and never fixed the problems.  I still have the problem and all drivers are updated... was better resolution ever deployed by HP or should I just keep using the pathetic Windows App that does not offer half of the facilities we had using the solution center to analyze?

    Hello

Thanks for the reply.  I already have the latest version of the complete software and drivers are completely up to date.

Error Center solution that message continues to say impossible to analyze because another program or device uses the networked HP imaging device.

Having said that I have download the analysis option you suggested and it is a job much better around the other Scan MS application I've had.  At least I can crop document and add pages to scan by the looks of things flat.

Thanks for your help.  Although I still really wish that HP could just fix the solution Center works again for scanning.

  • OfficeJet Pro L7590 will not work with Windows 8.1

    Hi all

I tried to install the L7590 Windows 8.1 but did not succeed. The printer was working well on Windows Vista, 7 and 8 before. After the initial problems, I deleted all the software with this printer. I did the following after this step:

-use the original installation CD (boot CD). I received the message that the OS is not supported

-use the "OJ_AIO_L7X00_Full_Win_WW_140_408.exe" file downloaded from HP support. There is a missing file, but no details of the reports.

Who can help? My suggestion is that HP should pick this up, probably because it worked fine under previous operating system.

    Thanks in advance,

    Kees

    Mario,

I have already downloaded this driver before, but it won't install. It unpacks, but then closes without any error message.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 A910g: OfficeJet Pro 8500 software on Windows 7

I use this printer for about three years, and about a year, when I clicked on the icon of the software OfficeJet, or tried to run from the program list window, nothing happened.  A HP support agent sent me a link to the "HP Print Scan doctor and", and that fixed it.  A month ago, it's the same thing.  I uninstalled all the HP software associated with the printer and went to HP.com and downloaded a new full version of the driver installed, then restarted the computer.  The same thing happens again.  I can print anything from the PC and use the front panel of the printer to scan the items, but by clicking on the icon HP Officejet does nothing.  When I run the "doctor HP Print and Scan" and make a analysis test, the scan window goes up on the PC and allows me to scan and save any document on the glass or in the charger without any problem, but even after I do that, clicking on "OfficeJet Pro 8500 A910.exe" does nothing.    I use Eset smart security 8 software and SpyHunter, but even with them turned off during the download and installation, and while I try to run the software of the printer, nothing changes with this problem.

I saw someone post this question on the line.

    Hello

Try to install the following hotfix:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03640384

Once you start the patch, let a few moments and try to launch the HP software again, it should not be a quick after launching the patch.

    You can see any difference?

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500

    Hello
I have a HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer
I do not use it for more than a year.
I tried to print, I tried to clean the heads.
He prints little, but not enough color.

My question is: if I change the ink cartridges, it is the guarantee that it will print in a new?

My concern are the components between the print head and ink cartridges.

    Hi @Robert_Client,

I have read your message and see that you would like to know if the printer still work correctly, if you change the cartridges, because it has not been used for a year. I can help you.

When the printer is turned on, the printer will periodically perform maintenance cycles that use small amounts of ink to clear the nozzles and keep them clearly, if the printer is not used for long periods of time. Without regular maintenance cycles, the print head gets dirty. (months to a moment turns off) HP inkjet printers have shutdown routines, where the printer head printing of parks and the cartridge caps. When the printer is off and that the printer has been idle for a while and he goes to the power save mode. The printer can sit for an extended period without drying of the ink in the print head and without harm to the printer.

If the ink levels are good, then I will try the following to see if they will help.

Here is a document to check the cartridges. I would clean the contacts on them also.

A "ink cartridge seems to be missing or corrupt" Error Message appears on the printer control PA... "

I submitted this document to manually clean the print heads.

"The following printhead appears to be missing or corrupt" or "the following printhead has a problem...

I hope this helps. If you appreciate my efforts, please click on the "Thumbs up" button below. Thank you.

  • ePrint for HP Officejet Pro 8500 a works, but ePrint closed my sign-in account

I used ePrint with my HP Officejet Pro 8500 has for 2 years and it works very well.  After the last update of software, I tried to connect to my ePrint account to add another user authorized, but the system has forgotten my E-mail address.  I know that I am using the correct E-mail address, because I me reminders for my printer HP mail to that address and it is the only one I use for business, but I can't even trigger a password because the new ePrint says that I do not exist.

If I create a new account for the same printer, will be that collide?  I have the printer email address and use it regularly, so I know it is properly connected to my wireless and it converses with ePrint.  Is it possible to recover an account if you have the printer email address and serial number?

    Thank you!

    David

    Hi David,

Click on the link you have forgotten the password of on the connection page and provide your email address to reset the password.

    https://h30495.www3.HP.com/user_login?next=%2fc%2F46193%2FUS%2Fen%2f

If the e-mail address is not recognized, try resetting the password via the Snapfish HP site... This may work if the accound has been marked to be associated with HP Snapfish during registration:

    http://www1.Snapfish.com/Snapfish/forgotpassword/module=true

Last but not least, you have migrated your account with the new HP service connected, then try to recover your password below:

    https://Toran.hpconnected.com/OAuth/UI/resetpwdpage

The sites above should cover any association account as possible and I believe that one of them should recognize your email address and allow to reset the password.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 a Premium: my printer driver has changed and it's HORRIBLE

I have been using my HP 8500 a all-in-one with a few years now with no problem.  Day before yesterday, I met a problem: when I tried to specify certain pages of a document to print, I get an error message.  However, if I chose to print the entire document, it would print.  I assumed that my driver to be updated, so I downloaded from the HP website.  WHAT A HORRIBLE MISTAKE IT WAS.  My scanning utility has changed, I can only print even when I choose to print an entire document.  I can't print at all in an Excel worksheet.  I tried uninstalling the driver and re-install.  I DON'T want to network this printer, but now whenever I have try to reinstall the driver, I can choose to connect via USB, but on the pop - up next, it does not give me the option to proceed.  It gives me the possibility to 'come back' or 'jumps' USB connection.

    What the hell is happening?

    Hi @LMKos,

    Welcome to the HP community!

I hope you have a pleasant experience here.

I want to help you with driver/software problems that you are having with your HP Officejet Pro 8500 has e-all-in-one printer and your computer Windows 8.

It seems that your software is may not be installed correctly, in addition to the common issue of 8.1 to Windows Installer automatically update Windows drivers.

First of all, with the USB cable plugged in, we want to remove all instances of your printer in Device Manager (so when you plug the USB cable back in during the new installation, it will be seen as a new device).

    1. Open your start.
    2. Start typing 'This PC', it will come under results of research. Right-click on computer and select Manage.
    3. Click Device Manager on the left side.
    4. In the main part of the window, locate in the following categories for all HP entries: Bus USB controllers, printers, imaging devices and other devices.
    5. If you see your HP printer in one of these sections, right click and select Uninstall. Keep an eye out as well for all that said device unknown and let me know if you see this at all (these are also well uninstall).
    6. After have removed all entries of HP, unplug your USB key and leave it unplugged. Do not reconnect the USB until you are asked when reinstall us.

Next we want to remove printers from the printers and devices folder.

    1. From your desktop, or drag from the right to open the bar of charms, or press Win key + C on your keyboard.
    2. Select settings in the bar on the right.
    3. Select Control Panel
    4. Under hardware and sound, select devices and printers
    5. Right click on each icon you see for your 8500 has (even if there is only one) and select remove an instrument, or delete.

Once this done, allows to make a cleanboot from your computer (this turns off all non-essential startup programs, so if there is another program running that interferes with the installation we can avoid it).

How to perform a clean boot in Windows

Once the computer restarts, try to download the HP printer install wizard to complete the installation for you. It will automatically detect your device and install the appropriate software.

Please reply to let me know if that solves the problem.

    Good luck!

I ran the HP Print Diagnostic Utility 4.1 for this printer when this has

has occurred. He meets problem with queue print - print jobs are stuck in the print queue

All functions worked very well after the initial installation. Not sure when stopped working as he

    Since the initial installation.

Fax: The printer receive fax but never prints (now printing... displayed on the screen of the printer up to)

I'm going to printer and on again.)

Please help solve the problem. What information do you need?

I tried both solutions you provided.

    None worked.

I had the problem with a HP Photosmart 2610 AIO printer that I have had for almost 10 years. Has been using remanufactured ink cartridges and they work perfectly until there are about 3 1/2 months. The printer works now than if I use HP ink cartridges. I'm guessing that some required HP update HP ink cartridge only!

I have tried everything I know to try and even some suggestions for HP and nothing works. So, I thought to replace the remanufactured cartridges that were installed in my printer 8500 currenty (I had a mixture of HP and refurbished who had worked successfully for a while) with original HP cartridges.  This seems to have solved my problem with printing.

Of course, there was a HP update that required the printer using HP ink cartridges to perform. Is there anyway that we can get this update? If so, I would like instructions to do it for my two printers.

Thanking you in advance for a quick response.

    Kind regards!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500: new ink cartridges does not

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8500.  It's probably 2 or 3 years.  He says not what 8500, but I think it was
a diagnosis 'as model A909a.  My level of printing showed that the black ink cartridge must be replaced.  I knew too because what should have been print black was printing a red light faded.  I replaced the black cartridge with a HP product, but it is always print red and get more faded.  Any ideas what could be the problem?  Thank you!

UPDATE!  Good news!  Somehow I discovered that I needed to update the software. I think it could have been through the option "Scan Doctor".  When I tried to install the software on your computer it wouldn't.  But I went directly to the HP software download site, informed my hardware information and that worked!  I downloaded and installed the updated software and that fixed my problem of black ink cartridge.  I'm so happy and proud of myself!

I found the solution for me!

  • Ethernet connection in the back of a HP Officejet Pro 8500

When I bought my printer 3 years ago, I NEVER thought that I would need a printer capable of wifi.  Surprise!

I thought I had read that you could buy wifi adapters to allow a wifi component.  Made a few calls and told me that there is no such thing.

A salesman asked if my 8500 had an Ethernet connection on the back.  I didn't, but when I got home, it is there, just at the edge of the printer, "Ethernet".  According to the seller at OfficeMax, I can connect an Ethernet cable from the printer to my router and which would allow me to use the printer with my laptop and the Droid Razr.  Yes?

So I just have to run a cable from the printer to the router and follow (I hope) on the orientation of the screen?

I know I have to download a printer on my phone app.

I have I am on the right track PATH out of it?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

    Monica

Yes, the connection to the network cable would allow you to print from your PC and phone (with an appropriate application).  After connecting search for a program under Start, all programs, HP, HP Officejet Pro 8500 and search for the file "printer setup".  Run this and select "add a new printer.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 has more and Windows 8

    Hi all ~

Can someone tell what it means and walk in a fix?  (You know the question what our level of expertise...)

We had a HP Pro 8500 a desktop for a couple of years more.  We just got the HP TouchSmart with Windows 8, and while we can print from the computer very well, we cannot analyze.  Loading the CD for the printer, we get a message that says: "install cannot continue...". The operating system on this computer is not supported. Upgrade the operating system"

We do not know how to proceed.

    Thank you

Since you get an error that the operating system is not supported, you can benefit from getting on the HP site and download the package from there.  Here is a link directly to this site (US Version): HP Officejet 8500 has more full feature software and drivers.

In this link you will find all downloads of software available for the printer.

    -Officejet Pro 8500 has more-

If you install the printer with a USB cable, disconnect the plug before you continue.  I would like to know if I can be more useful.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 a Premium: HP Officejet Pro 8500 a Premium does not print the docs of the computer, but will display a test page.

HP Officejet Pro 8500 a Premium does not print the docs of the computer, but will display a test page.  I constantly get a message that the computer cannot communicate with the printer.   Not only it will be not be printed docs, it will not print web pages using 11 IE or Google Chrome.

I used print and Scan of doctor, he always reports there are no questions and print page one same test so I can not print anything else.

Whenever I want to print, I have to restart the computer.  After the reboot, I have a chance to print.   This problem started on February 15, 2015.

My operating system is Windows 8.1.   I have unintalled HP, rebooted, and then reinstalled the software software:

    OJ8500_A910_1315 - 1.exe

HP Print and Scan - HPPSdr.exe doctor

    HPSupportSolutionsFramework - 11.51.0049.msi

All versions were last uploaded on 4 April 2015.

I have a home wireless network (router Ubee DDW366).  All other devices in the House will be printed on the printer of 8500 has no problems: 2 Toshiba laptops, 2 Android phones and 1FireHD.

The desk top is installed with a network card Netgear, I don't know the model, but I had it tested by a PC technology to verify that the card works.   The card and 8.1 of Windows have been installed on January 3, 2015.

I have run virus scans and analyzes malware.  Whenever they show that there are no problems with my desktop computer.  What kind of desktop? Specially designed for my listing of... without brand computer parts store.  ASUS motherboard P6X580 Premium.  Now I will probably get hacked!

I'm at my wits end.  And it's frustrating when I need to print something and the system hangs.  I often use screen printing to a word document to save in order to restart... but then I lose all sorts of features when I pick up what I needed.  It is also a time consuming.

This printer we served well for two years and I have expensive cartridges pending; another two cycles of recharge.

    Help?

Addendum: can I scan with the HP printer help.  I open the HP printer assistant, he "gets" the printer information, then I select "scan a document or photo" and the printer answers.   I have no problem with the sweep.

It has been awhile, but I played on something you wrote.  "There could be a software conflict with the HP software" everything worked very well... impression was shifted at best; just didn't know if it would work.  So I would eliminate a program, reboot clean, try to print, and then reinstall the software.  I finally found the culprit.  I had a program running in the background, occasionally.  When it ran, HP does not print.  Stop the program and I was able to print... Do not have a problem since I found it... I do not say that it was a software to share files... so I replaced since this program with something else that doesn't cause problems...  It took a long time and I couldn't work the question every day.... but I can say that I have problems printing for the past 5 days!  I can print with confidence.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 will reinstall not connection

Hello!  I'm terribly frustrated and don't know what to do next.  I have a printer all-in-one HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909g wireless that is about 3 years old.  Recently, I replaced my laptop for a HP running on Windows 7 64 bit.  Easily, I installed this printer on the phone two months ago and had no problems.  However, over the weekend, while on vacation, I tried to install another printer hp (5510).  I had the disc, followed instructions, etc.  But the printer would not work... period.  I ended up uninstalling.  But for some reason, try to install this printer screwed up of all impressions.  It's a different story, but I finally got my Adobe PDF printer works again.

Back to today... I'm trying to print something and realize my 8500 printer is listed under "Devices and printers" and all programs are installed, but it will not be printed.  It shows no communication with the printer.  I am sure that he had to do to try to install the 5510.  After hours of troubleshooting, I finally uninstall the 8500 and try to reinstall.  (Remember, it worked fine before this past weekend!)  I downloaded from HP site because my installion CD does not support Windows 7.  For some reason, all the drivers will not download.  I tried FOUR TIMES.  I ran troubleshooting, diagnosis... you name it.  The printer appear in the programs, but not the devices and printers.

I have connected the printer via USB directly to my computer and it has yet to install correctly.  Wired and wireless configurations show no connection to the printer.

I'm not an expert, but can generally understand things.  I installed this printer even on three different computers all current to run Windows 7 and have never had a problem.  Help, please!

Curiously, I did this throughout this process today, and it could find the drivers of 4 numbers.  Being extremely frustrated, I decided to restore to a point before that I tried to install this second printer (which I am certain is the root of all my troubles).  By some miracle, it's what needed!  Everything works now.  Thank you once again, Shane, for all your help and patience.
