  I have a 64-bit host Ubuntu and CentOS 64-bit client.  The client is a virtual 2 - CPU computer, host is on a quad-core AMD.   512 MB of memory with 8 GB on the host comments.

  When the client on CentOS is inactive... If I look at the top of the virtual machine, there is nothing going on (as it should), and load inside the VM is zero-ish.  If I look up on Ubuntu host, the virtual machine uses about 25% of the CPU.

  In comparison, I have a dual-CPU 64-bit Solaris guest and a dual-CPU 32-bit of Windows XP guest.  When one of these other VM is inactive, there is one little load indicated for the CPU host... usually 2 to 5%.

  Anyone has an idea about what motivates the load for the customer to CentOS?

  25% is not critical for the guest of CentOS, but I would not waste cycles CPU, if there's a difficulty judging.

  Yes AMS works on all 6.x CentOS... CentOS 7 is not supported... We always encourage you to use the latest version of AMS which is 5.0.7 as to date.

  It doesn't occur on the same OS vmwared on another Linux through vmware server 2.0. The ESXi3.5 is installed on the IBM 3550 with two network adapters.

  You can use the configure script to configure if you load a new kernel.  Other that that, you shouldn't change it again.  The tools will install the network improved module, and from there, no other management staff is really necessary, until you upgrade your kernel.  When you do this, you will need to restart the installation script to load the modules in the new kernel.

  I have I try to install CentOS 5.3 in VMWare Server 2.x. The host system running Windows 2000 SP4 with a CPU AMD Athelon XP 1800, 1 G of RAM, and an NVidia FX5200. Whenever I try to install CentOS 5.3 the result is always the same, a panic of the kernel/kernel oops. I have other virtual machines running in the same material without problem, but these virtual machines are running FC4 and earlier versions of RedHat.

  Like many I can diagnose the problem isn't seams to be associated CentOS. I believe that this is true because I tried to install CentOS 5.3 directly in the host system, and I can reach the stage where partitions are created, step I can't achieve when trying to install CentOS 5.3 in my virtual machine in VMWare Server 2.0.

  I tried to increase the RAM memory used by the guest operating system, but the problem persists. I tried to disable acpi (setting the acpi = no as a startup option), made the installation using the text mode, but the same problem, the kernel panic.

  According to the kernel panic information on diagnosing the problem happens in the xor_sse_2 function.

  I upploaded kernel panic message, as it was printed in the VMWare Console.

  I tried to disable all sorts of acceleration in the VM configuration, changed the virtual BusLogic at LSI SCSI controller type, but the same question. I looked for the functions in the call trace service, it seems that calibrate_xor_block is used inside the md driver/module, so it must be a problem with the virtual hardware (disk, CD-ROM, etc.). I changed the virtual CDrom material from IDE to SCSI and now the guest what OS can't find the CD-ROM drive, or the hard drive, but there is also no kernel panic! Y at - it a LSI driver disk that can be used for the virtual SCSI cdrom and the hard drive is accessible?

  Does anyone has any suspicion?

  None of the versions of Oracle DB and editions are certified to run on CentOS. It does not mean that technically it won't work, but it is not officially certified by Oracle. This means that if there is a problem due to this combination of operating system and Oracle DB, Oracle support is not available for this combination.

  You can source the oraenv file to configure the environment for you. See Oraenv - Oracle FAQ.

  I prefer to use the .bash_profile to explicitly set:

  I also use rlwrap - must be manually create and install on Oracle's Linux (download the source and make a config, all makeand install). And then add aliases entries to my .bash_profile, for example:

  Note that to compile and generate rlwrap, a couple of RPMs of development must be installed via yum (using Yum Public Oracle filing) - such as readline lib dev and so on.

  Indeed. Unless you know exactly, precisely what libraries, external commands and utilities for your application needs, we do not recommend using the JeOS patterns. This is an experimental feature, you'll read in the manual and can not work the way you intended. Use the standard templates (* not * models JeOS, or models Application Director) for CentOS. you will have much more success.

• Sync does not not between Linux and Android

  I have recently installed 30 Firefox on my portable Linux (Centos 6.4) and an Android tablet (Gemini GEM1000 with Android 4.2.2). No matter what I do, I can't synchronize my tablet with 300 bookmarks + on my laptop.

  First of all, I created an account to sync Firefox on the laptop. Then I synced my bookmarks and preferences only (I don't get not usually Firefox remember passwords for sites). So far so good.

  On the Tablet, I started to implement synchronization by logging into my account synchronization. It worked and the message "account verified. Your data will begin synchronization momentarily. "And that's all that happened. FF on the Tablet says it's sync but no bookmarks appear. I can't find the synchronization code of 12 characters to pair the device with my laptop. None of the statements on the support pages (e.g. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-a-device-to-firefox-sync) work.

  I can find my key recovery on the laptop but can't find it on the shelf. I can find no way to enter this code on the tablet.

  It seems that this problem existed with 29 FF (which I've also tried a couple of weeks) and leads to a deposited Bugzilla report.

  What have I done wrong?

• Problems with Server 2008 R2 Kerberos with Mac and CentOS machines? Need to re - join domain

  We are having a problem with our Mac and Linux / CentOS machines constantly having to be re-attached to our AD domain.
  We are able to join machines to the domain successfully, but after a few weeks or if authentication is broken and we again join them to the domain.
  I see Security event logs on our domain controller when kerberos authentication fails.
  On the linux server - I see this message in the logs
  -binding failed: server not found in the kerberos database.

  I'm guessing this has to do with Server 2008 R2 and incompatible mac / linux versions.

  Any ideas?

  OK, I did some download and testing yesterday and today and I found a tool chain that strives to do remote debugging a c application / c++ on a sbRIO-9651 with CentOS 7 host operating system.

  You must download this Linaro Toolchain for Cortex-A

  Once on the page go in the section "Linaro Toolchain for Cortex-A" and download the second link linux "linaro-toolchain-binary (big-endian).  The binary gdb is here, so you must point towards him in the Eclipse debug configuration.

  You may need to install the library added to your operating system.

  I installed windows vista home based on computer dell laptop vostro 1500, after a few days I install linux centos on the last disc hard partition.two days when I have connection for win vista go to disk management and format this drive, now where to find the drive installed linux on I trun on the laptop I saw black linux boot manager GNU GRUB and nothing to select all I can do is press alt + ctrl + delete after reboot black screen again.

  This could happen if the startup for Windows Vista file is affected when you formatted the partition containing Linux. You can first try running the Startup Repair tool, if this does not help then you can try to rebuild the BCD (Boot Configuration data).

  Note: you can perform the steps only if you have the Windows Vista installation disc.

  Method 1:

  Run the Startup Repair tool by booting from the installation DVD. Follow the link to do the same.

  I use ESXi 5.5 with the 'free' license to my lab at home. I'm starting to experiment with Enterprise 7 Linux (CentOS, Oracle, etc.) and of course 7 is not listed as an option in the vSphere client.

  You can try the vSphere Client 5.5 Update 2 that give the possibility to change the material of vmx10, but not 100% if you can deploy RHEL 7 from there.
