Vector graphics are pixelated? :[

Zoom on a vector image in CS4 shows FAT pixels around the image (a shape drawn using the pen tool).

I thought that vector images are not composed of pixels? Or I do something wrong?

Thank you!

Vector graphics are pixelated to resolution of the document in PS. They can or will export as vector elements, but they will still listen to samples, and if you save in any format of raster doc, they will export as pixels.

  • Why vector graphics appear pixelated when zoomed in, isn't Fireworks to support vectors?

I am new to the use of fireworks, but I thought that would be great because it has vector and bitmap support. However, when I'm working with vector tools and a vector image, that I imported from Illustrator, if I Zoom in on the image, it seems that it is a bitmap image. Also, if I were to resize image fell 25%, then the tool he save a size similar to what it was in, it appears distorted and the quality will be changed? Why is this? I have this in Illustrator without these results. I thought that the vectors must be able to be resized upwards, downwards or upwards and down, and they should look relatively the same. Any ideas, what happens?

Help, please. Thanks in advance! I really want to use Fireworks, but with this problem I might have to use illustrator and fireworks of pit all together.

    Hi Josh,.

I think that I have solved your problem. Please take a look at the attached PNG (ninja high comes from Linda PNG and the bottom is the cleaned one). I don't think it sooner - sorry! I should remember that the features don't get adjusted, as well as fillings (not below 1px in any case). I've gave too much importance to your resizing problem and saw no real distortions of the whole vector.

    Solution:

    1) design in Fireworks. Your illustrator vector had too many unwanted pieces which I cleaned.

    2) use not too many shots. I didn't, but we do not have too many forms with traits for vectors that need resizing.

    (3) when you are satisfied with your vector to make a backup, then at the end to convert your features in fillings (this feature by using the way-3rd Panel under Edit section).

After all it is followed, you will get a scalable vector that looks good, even when it is small. In this case, I used the race only for the eyes and were then converted into fillings before resizing to display the smaller vector.

    Hello

I used to use CS5 and have now upgraded with a subscription to Adobe CC.

These lines appear perfectly if I open them on the old computer with CS5, but they "break" here.  Screen attached.

Anyone know if it's just a matter of display settings?  If so, how can I solve this problem.

If I send this file to someone with an older version of Adobe CS, it seems to display perfectly for them.

Notice the lower left and right corners below.  They appear smooth and connected in older versions of CS

  • Help! Imported a Captivate 4 on Captivate project 5 and graphics are all pixelated? Help please!

The specification (see http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Officejet-Pro-8600-Plus-e-All-in-One-Printer-series---N911/4322915/model/4323647/document/c02858465/ ) the series OfficeJet Pro 8600 printers indicates that the only supported Language of Description of Page is HP PCL 3 enhanced.

I think that PCL 3 enhanced (and other PCL3- based PDLas PCL3GUIs) are mainly based on the pixelation, in that each page is made up one (or more) encapsulated, images compressed raster; compression can use methods.

that is, it does not support no matter what vector image constructions at all.

The language supports a (very) small number of PCL escape sequences to provide the encapsulation of raster and initialization of the device.

I don't think that HP publishes one or other of these s PDLused by inkjet printers.

  • Working with vector graphics

I have a student who created graphs of pixel based in another software.  Since they are not vector graphics, they can be enlarged.  Is it possible to open in elements and convert them to vector graphics?

If he starts to design elements, which is a maximum file size for creating new models?  If they are vector graphics, does it matter what size they start as?  It will get better enlargements if they start over wholesale to start?

Which format should one of the uses in saving vector graphics, so that they remain vectors and do not become based pixel?

Tutorials or articles that you can send me would be appreciated.

    Mary Lou

I guess that it is not possible to convert pixel into a vector graphics in the elements. Although you can create vector graphics in elements using shape tool. The optimal size of your file will depend on where you want to use the image. The graphic vector will be preserved if you save the image in PSD or TIFF format.

  • vector graphics: fuzzy in preview, accurate in the final rendering?

    Hi all

I was hitting my head for awhile on my fuzzy vector graphics problem - vectors imported in AE since Illustrator, which include text, text describes, clipping, masks, etc.. I had checked and checked my "continuously rasterize ', my"condense transformations", even went to adjust anti-aliasing for best quality: no help

Well, I had a breakthrough today: when I do a final, my fuzzy vector graphics becomes clear.  Huh?  Well, very well!  But now my question is: am I stuck fuzzy vectors edition?  That seems like an odd limitation.

a little more information on what I'm doing: I'm animating between pieces of text which are of different sizes, some text is solid, some contours, some with fillings created with clipping masks - and I did a little experiment with taking on masks, etc., because I learned that certain Illustrator effects out properly and cause an immediate pixelation in AE - but that didn't seem to do much for my preview quality. I have configured my illustrator file with the preset of film/video, so I have 2 work plans - and I let the text bigger spill over into this larger arboard.  I save as illustrator CS5, compatible PDF file and bring AE as a composition w / "keep the sizes of layer".

any thoughts? is it just the nature of the beast? Maybe I'll put up my illustrator bad file?

    Thank you

    the love of my life

You could see artifacts due to the Correction of the Pixel format if you use non square BY in your comp (s). In your preferences, check to see if you have the Zoom quality setting designated for "more precise".

If this is not the case, then, as you noted, you probably have an effect enabled in Illustrator on one or more of your layers/objects which causes aliasing.

  • Speed and vector graphics?

Is it just me or not vector graphics take time to design? I am designing a cartoon vector graphic and it's a lot of time.

If you are new to Illustrator EVERYTHING will seem slow. Familiarity and repetition will speed up the process. Here are a few suggestions:

    1. Start with a pencil, to develop ideas before working digitally.
    2. Analyze in a 'model', which work effectively toward your goal.
    3. Learn and use keyboard shortcuts to work more efficiently.
    4. Use the right tool for the job. Illustrator offers many tools. Knowing that you use can take some trial and error.
    5. If you have not already the case, consider investing in a digitizing tablet.
  • Copyright on vector graphic basis?

So, Ive seen a few vector images that I liked (a shopping mall and the person) in a commercial hosted on youtube for some company. Now if I'm going to create similar charts in Adobe Illustrator to use in my promo / ad video for one of my products and maybe use some of the movements of objects and of the camera in this ad I saw, would it be a question about copyright? In other words: I created all of my vector graphics from absolute zero in Illustrator and all animated by myself in after affects, but they are similar to this announcement (I was inspired by this announcement lets say)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Vector graphics do not have their own rules of copyright.  Anyone who knows the laws regarding rights of use will be able to help you regardless of the file type.

    Hi Marcel,.

The file you are publishing uses a custom template which is obsolete. It lacks some of the chips, which were introduced in CC Animate 2015.2.1, including that necessary to display the newly added HiDPI.

To get the latest model settings, Goto, publish > Advanced tab and click on 'Default' and now to test the animation.

You may need to add additional code (for example script above files) from the old model to the new model.

  • ePub graphics are not properly sized

ePub graphics are not properly sized after transfer ePub to my iPad via iTunes.

I use indesign 6.0 on microsoft system 7 and transfer the ePub to my new iPad (32 GB, 2048 x 1536 resolution).

The graphic is set for "rasteration custom" size defined "compared to the width of page".

The chart appears correctly in the Adobe Digital Editions software, but when I transfer the ePub to my iPad it looks full-size.

If I put the lid "rasterize first page" the graphic on the cover is sized correctly, but the graphics in the document are full size.

When I create the same file using inDesign 5.5 everything works correctly.

What I'm doing wrong or what setting I have not put properly?

    Thank you

Welcome to the world of how different EPUB readers manage the same code HTML and CSS.

I just did a test with an image that had the Relative to Page and Custom pixelation of InDesign CS5.5 and CS6 format settings.

As far as I can tell that each version of InDesign is written the correct code but in a different way. ADE meets it, but iBooks on your iPad does not work.

Here are the details: I created a framework for broad text of 45 pica and anchored a 14 pica graphic framework.

InDesign CS5.5 the relative size of exports under the image like this tag:

    CMYK%20balloons.psd

InDesign CS6 creates a class for the

tag graphic image and referenced in the CSS it creates. Here's the HTML code:

    CMYK%20balloons.psd
    />

Here is the CSS for the image-1:

    }
    {img. Frame-1
    Width: 27%;
    }

I would say that these two are the correct code. However, iBooks handles differently the CS6 version.

Here's how the CS5.5 version looks in iBooks:

And here's what the CS6 code looks like:

It handles differently. So I would say that, if it is important that on the iPad, it is smaller, you must modify the code to insert the attribute of scaling in the HTML instead of the CSS tag,

  • Having a problem with the graphic quality of vector graphics in flashswf in Dreamweaver

    Hello

I have a flash slide show, I built for a dreamweaver site that contains images of vecctor who lose quality when I run my site on the domain. I tested the file flash in flash is superb. I saw in live mode view in dreamweaver graphics look smooth but when I load my files ftp on my account from the host and test from there, the quality of the edges of the vectors is not smooth. I see a lot of irregular contours and don't know why.

I test everything on my monitor 24 inch so the graphics are probably enlarged but even when I test the flash in flash file and the html file from my hard drive to a browser such as firefox my graphics are smooth, so don't know if his problem-solving.  also tested my site on my laptop which is a smaller screen 15 inches and the graphics look bad on the website there too. F of course it's a problem of resolution, I think that screen 15-inch would be showing the graphics smoothly not serrated. ?????

Anyone has any ideas or can you help me with this problem? I have

    Johanna

Ok.  And just to add, you can natively import files HAVE on the Flash stage.  And I'm no Flash expert by any means, but there are a few settings, you can change.  In the document settings, you can change the framerate.  Usually 30 fps runs smoothly.  Then on the publication settings you can disable compression, increase the JPEG quality and enable hardware acceleration for computers running Flash 10.2 or later with the graphical features.

  • Import of vector graphics, labeling dilema

I use Framemaker 10, Autodesk Publisher of Illustrator, Inkscape, Windows Vista.

I imported a series of illustrations Illustrator Autodesk CAD into Illustrator Editor.  Here, I marked them.

I then saved/published them as .svg files.

If I import them directly into Framemaker, they open with the legends at a strange angle and 3/4 of the picture missing. Therefore, I must open in Inkscape, make the entire image to the framework and align the legends.

Now I import into Framemaker.  The problem is the numbering is difficult to predict.  The labelling/legends/numbering always turn what seems to be "BOLD".  But the real problem resizes the illustrations.  Because there is no way to predict the size of the output of the editor, the illustrations must be resized in Framemaker.  Would not usually be no problem that the illustrations are of svg (vector graphics), but of course it is resized the labelling/legends/numbering, which makes it look really stupid when I have 10 illustrations all with different font size.

What people do here?  Someone uses vector graphics in their manuals.

I would really appreciate a response on what I feel, I hit a wall of brick here.

    Thank you

Why not label in Frame? We do, and it has benefits beyond avoiding the rendering of text and scale of issues such as the ability to reuse the same illustration for multiple purposes with different legends. We use captions embedded in our service manuals (the XML engine required) and depopulate the legends (usually just turn off a layer) for the re-use of this art in the manuals of the frame.

    > I have then saved/published in the form of files .svg.

Let me tell you that I have no experience with SVG, due to the lack of SVG support throughout our workflow, but we use vector EPS widely.

    > If I import them directly into to Framemaker, they open with the legends at a strange angle and 3/4 of the picture missing. That's why I have to open in Inkscape, make the entire image to the framework and align captions.

If SVG includes integrated preview/thumbnail pictures, is there a chance that it's just a problem of preview? What happens to print or return to PDF?

    > Now I import into Framemaker.  The problem is the numbering is difficult to predict.  The labelling/legends/numbering always turn what seems to be "BOLD".  But the real problem resizes illustrations.

It is one of the disadvantages of legends incorporated. If the image is not the size, the text dimensionnera arbitrarily, which is ugly, or it won't scale, which is a disaster. More bad news - your weight of race are wide too.

    > Because there is no way to predict the size of the output of...

I would be undesirable any image editor, vector or raster, which did not provide for this basic level of output control.

    > Someone else uses vector graphics in their manuals?

Yes, from Pro, AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, Frame and extractions of provider of PDFs of unknown origin. Clean us them in Adobe Illustrator, using extensions specific dimensions and a weight of race that is acceptable for a limited series of up and down the hammer blows. Captions are added to the frame, using an arrow to auto-hide and a bubble of auto hide with a block of text and a paragraph format specific to the use of the legend.
