  To use the SKETCH files in Adobe Illustrator, use the button 'Send to Illustrator' from sketch.  It will open as a bitmap in a first time, but you can extend it in paths by selecting the layer then choose DEVELOP THE railways of (object / Line and Sketch Art / expand to paths)

  Both apps are not interchangeable with their respective brothers in applications, but you can use them together in order to achieve a certain look stylized, or to enjoy a single track , if you really need, but there is no real overlap.

  Currently, I use more creative process applications.  If you are mobile and want to generate the idea, these applications are perfect.  They can be used for the final work too, but you need to know the current constraints of the export process.

  I'm still tied to a desk for most of my design work (or laptop).

  I can't wait to see what new versions have in store for us.

  Is there a way to make the vector lines (Path) more Visible in Photoshop CC on OSX? Just passed from the CS6 in the CC, and it is very difficult to see when they are in fact seen visible.

  Apart from excellent advice from Terri, there is no way to really change how the paths appear - nevermind, I could use those more visible as well.

• Conversion of a Signature TIFF in vector lines

  I scanned my signature in my computer in TIFF format. Then, I edited and cleaned in Photoshop.  Then I placed in Illustrator and transformed into a vector file. However, the problem with this is that traces the perimeter of the signature and not down the middle of the letter strokes as there would be if I had done in Illustrator. Is it possible that I can still get there?

  I've just converted to a tiff file becuas vector lines have been transformed into double lines in the scene. No idea why this was happening or the other. I have just expanded their enough that he hid any gaps and then converted to a tiff file to have another shot at him. Would much rather work with a single line of.

  When you draw a raster image, you will get the paths defining sets (or almost) identically colored pixels, then you will get the fill/nostroke railways.

  What you want are vascular accident brain/nofill paths. If your original features have different widths, you need to use artistic forms or the width tool to reproduce.

  To get each STROKE/nofill path, try this, using the relevant part of the image scanned/cleaned:

  (1) with the Scssors tool, cut the race at the ends so that you get two tracks open representative or the other side of the race to be (this will also be cut it off from the rest of the signature if necessary);

  (2) object > blend Options, check the box Orientation > align on the path and set the spacing > measures specified for 1;

  (3) object > mix > do and object > blend > expand, then object > dissociate; you have now the backbone of the race and the bounaries;

  (4) adjust the weight of the race to have the race reach the limits, either by using a Brush Art (created horizontally at any horizontal scale) or the width tool and repeat with distributions different widths until you're there.

  With the Art Brush, you can reproduce irregularities and asymmetries, also at the ends, finding (more) faithfully the real signature.

• Photoshop CS6 vector line tool UI issues

  I'm running 13.0.1 right now and am blocked by the tool of UX line. The problem is that even if you feel that you draw a line, you actually draw a box.

  Follow these steps 13.0.1 running x 64:

  1. Create a new doc
  2. Select the vector line tool
  3. Type in a width of line (for example: 20px)
  4. Draw your line
  5. Note that the line is always weight of 1px.

  Of course, after much fiddling around you realize you have to set the FILL of your race, color, NO line, then specify the WEIGHT on the far right of the control bar.

  This is not really the right UX to draw lines, especially if you come any other vector drawing environment.

  Pen tool will draw lines with adjustable race. Shape mode, the value none Fill tool, set the stroke alignment to centered in the menu drop-down shown. Click on the points without slipping, if not a curve will be created. Hold the SHIFT key to constrain the horizontal/vertical. Press ESC or enter or select another tool to end a line. Properties stroke remains editable as long as the shape layer is not rasterized.

  Hello! I use my wacom cintiq Companion. I have this problem, a month or two it is a. I used the companion for about a year now.

  I used to be able to draw the shapes or vectorlines in photoshop without any lag. Now, to draw these elements, the "loading" icon on my mouse, and are still leaving inoperable photoshop every time I draw or edit vectors.

  I also have another computer, a new, faster everything. It loads the shapes and lines without problem. So I guess that the question is in my settings of CC or Photoshop. Because Illustrator doesn't have this problem. I have used currently to "im" not allowed to use vectors in PS on my partner but I'd really like to use them again. Please help

  Hello! Thanks for your replies.

  I finally gave in and called adobe support. The had me remove my preferences (run > %AppData%... > rename photoshop cc 2015 parameters) and start over.

  This solves the problem, and then they helped me make photoshop work better with the following parameters:

• Someone remembers Adobe Streamline? Need help for the conversion of drawings to bitmap to vector line.

  Years ago and there are probably still more OSs, Adobe had a product called Streamline this linework (well relatively effortless) effortlessly converted to vector. It was easy to sweep the original work, and the user apply settings to get an outline of eigenvector (with a reasonable number of points).  Well, that the program is no longer available and I not being able to achieve something close to perfection from Photoshop/Illustrator CS - which means I create a path to the PS and then hover over the path to Illustrator. I can never get a true vector "copy" of my scanned drawings.  I tried everything, such as upping the resolution (600-800 dpi) in the PS, which of course gives me way too complex a piece of vector, although can be used.  In any case, I'm working on a project now that whereby I really need a more transparent and less "bulky point" conversion of my work in vector contour.  The work of the line are very complex. Any suggestions, anyone?

  You will probably need a cleaning after Live Trace; Among the options we object > Pat > simplify and add Anchor Points. If you view an image, you will get suggestions.

  There are a few ways to apply; one more pretty is the use of closed paths. You can fill and stroke color (or use fill/no STROKE or cerebral vascular accident / no fill).

  I want to print a single line instead of the file around so I read that I need to store the contents of the file into an array and then get the index of the line. Problem is that I couldn't find any information on how to do it. Can someone give me a shot. Thanks in advance.

  This isn't a problem with encoding. You just need to do a little extra accounting and adjust start and end indices to remove these characters. To treat the "\r\n" of line termination style, you can maintain a flag (initially false) to indicate that the previous line ended with a \r; If a line begins with \n, it should be treated as the end of a line (empty) if the flag is true (in which case it should be ignored).

  If you want to extract all lines (not just the first), then it may be easier to do this accounting while avoiding a separate function. Something like this (untested):

  We have a class like this structure to store a table like structure in the persistent store:

  We know that we should use ObjectGroup to save persisent object handle. Right now, I use the group for each line vector object (all columns in a row are grouped). If each line would consume only a handful of persistent object. I guess I should group the primaryKeyMaps as well. However I wonder if I need to group them at the level of the entire table or not, because if there are 50 rows to the table, I would use 50 handler object persistent for all these lines. Managers how persisetent demand would be reasonably use in general? What is a good balance between performance and keeping the persistent object handles?

  I use a very similar structure to store Tables in PersistentStore, and I grouped by row (I do not use Group objects, I essentially to serialize the row)... But that's all.  And I have a large number of lines in a number of tables, certainly more than 10,000 usually.  Works very well.

  Persistent used to be a big problem, but I think you'll find that it isn't now, so unless you are targeting devices used (pre OS 4.6), or you have more than 10 s of thousands of lines, then I think that the structure, you are currently to assistance is therefore probably good enough.  And if you become big, you should probably move the data to SQLite.

  I'm a little concerned by the hash table you mind, I have not this and it is more than double the number of persistent Handles because you have an object for the key and the value.  have you looked to optimize this, perhaps using an intHashTable to kill using object?

  But if you are looking for where you will not store 10s of thousands and thousands of lines, I think what you do is very well.
