  Does anyone know how to access the thumbnails of photo or video that are shown by the construction in camera app?

  through the file system, I can access the images and video taken by the camera, but don't know how / if the thumbnails are possible.

  There are only files taken by the camera, without thumbnails AFAIK. Think you do it by yourself if you need thumbnails.

  You can purge the cache of the following option

  Preferences-> Cache-> purge all the Cache now

  You will not loose original photos to the computer. It will remove created bridge Cache of thumbnails / images.

  You can also set no.. a value of days to automatically purge older option preferences-> Cache cache.

  I recently had a problem with my pictures on my MacBook Pro when I saw them, but could not export them. Later, I realized that my friend had messed up things and now the original photos have disappeared. I still want to get thumbnails, but I have no idea how to do to transfer them to a USB key.   Watch what iPhoto under thumbnails is the file name of the image file.  Photos shows the name of the file in the Info Panel for a photo, but it will only show titles under the thumbnails, not names.

  If you enable the metadata in the photo display menu "View > metadata ', then turn on all the options, you can see the titles.

  But you will still need to copy the file in the title field names, if you want to see the names of files.

  We have posted an Apple Script in the section user Tip (Photos for Mac user advice) to copy the file names in the title field for the selected photos. See:

• SkyDrive displays blank thumbnails of photos. No problem in IE8

  Uploaded many photos on Skydrive. When I go into my Hotmail account I can't display an any of them - filenames are displayed, but not thumbnails. If I do the same thing with IE8, they appear without problem. Seems to be a FF issue but have tried all obvious checks on parameters etc.

  • A way to see what images are blocked is to click on the favorite icon (How do I know if my connection to a Web site is secure?) on the left end of the address bar.
  • Click on the "More information" button opens the Security tab of the "Page Info" window (also accessible via "tools > Page Info").
  • Go to the Media of the window tab "tools > Page Info.
  • Select the first link of the image and scroll though the list with the arrow pointing downwards.
  • If an image in the list is grayed out and there is a check mark in the box "block Images of..." and remove this mark to unlock the images from this area.

• Thumbnails of photo in my pictures do not appear

  I have Windows Vista.  When I open my computer and go to my pictures to view my photos, I can't see the actual pictures - only a standard icon.  I have no way of knowing which image is which.  It drives me crazy.

  I tried to change the point of view and looked at properties, options and etc.  Nothing has an option to display thumbnails of my photos.  Any help?  Thank you.

  I have a few thousand photos stored in several files. When I access folders to display the photos a lot of thumbnails are just gray boxes, while other images loading partially before becoming gray boxes themselves. When I double click on a gray box or a picture do not show a thumbnail image, I told myself that the I need to improve my Windows Photo Gallery. However, it seems to date.

  I searched the internet for weeks. Can anyone help please?

  Hey Gacartwright,

  I found a post by another user who had the same gray box problem you encounter. They were able to get their thumbnails back leaving the window upward all night (a long period of time). This allowed the system to compile again, the miniature database compensating for the problem.  Here's the link where I found another post.

  Recently, ALL the thumbnails in all my photo files have a red circle with an exclamation mark inside at the bottom in the Center. I can't find an explanation anywhere. What it means? Does affectr my photos? Is this a sign of impending doom for my files?

  Thank you... I think you have guessed. I have this problem on two computers... have all two McAfee security installed. McAfee uses Mozy as their backup serivce. I do not use it, but the symbol may be a clue. It has not affected the pix so far, that's all just annoying that there is no explanation for the item. Thanks again for the help,

  1. check the settings: -.

  Click on the organize button an entire folder > navigate to the folder and search options > Click view tab > make sure that the box against always show icons, never thumbnails isunchecked .

  If this is not helping then disable the thumbnail cache and let thumbnails of rebuld system again. To do this: -.

  i] open Disk Cleanup.

  II] uncheck all the entries except thumbnails.

  III] click OK.

  Open your my pictures location, click organize in the upper left corner, click folder and search options, click the View tab and uncheck the top option, always display icons and never thumbnails, select apply to records on the top and apply and OK on the bottom.

  If the photo thumbnails appear now but look washed on a right click and select Properties, on the section of the general tab, uncheck the box for the hidden attribute and save it.

  Return to your location of my pictures, change the display of the page on the top of the right side next to the question mark symbol, there is another symbol with a drop-down arrow, click it and select the medium or large icons options specified.

  According to the description, you have problems with the way images are displayed.
  Perform the steps mentioned below and see if it helps.
   
  a: press the Windows Logo + E to open Windows Explorer.
  b: Then click the view tab.
  c: Then click on Options > change the folder and search options.
  d: Then click the view tab.
  e: Uncheck the option " always show icons, never thumbnails.
  f: Then click apply and Ok.

• View-only Lightroom 5.4 blank thumbnails or Photos

  I have a new laptop, I installed LR 5.4 on. The program installed fine, and I entered my license of course key.

  When I try and import pictures (*.jpg), I only see blank thumbnails. I can import the photos, but the photo is also blank (gray), but a histogram is displayed.

  I was wondering if its associated color profiles. I had not chosen, compact, so I just took one by default. It made no difference. I recently installed a Spyder calibration software, but have not yet found the time to calibrate my laptop screen. I don't know if it is a question. But Lightroom seems to work well, put aside I can't see all of the pictures!

  What should I do to get Lightroom to work? I would add a few shoots screen too.

  Just to let you know, I had no problem with my previous laptop. I uninstalled Lightroom this laptop now.

  I got Lightroom works correctly in the end. Or the other of the two options I did work, not sure that one (or both), I had to do a reboot before I saw a difference.

  For the Windows color profiles, the option exists to restore the system default settings, so I did it to be on the safe side. I checked my graphics card settings (there are 2 equipped for my laptop). Intel settings allow applications to control the content of the media (see photo). I unchecked this option (which is what you can see on the photo. My Nvidia settings were fine, I couldn't see anything that could change things.

  And now Lightroom works fine
