Venue 11 pro legacy PXE - entry no. KB!

HI I'm trying to imagine a place 11 pro (i5). I have a dock and have disabled the secure boot and supported active legacy startup. I press F12 select boot go NIC. This requires PXE says my server SCCM etc, but when it comes down to the press F12 to start the keyboard does not work! I tried everything I can think off. The guide does not address and I can't find another post detailing what am I doing wrong lol Bios is A11

Try disabling USB 3.0 in the BIOS.   This should allow USB devices work in legacy PXE mode.

Yes ok... I'm not too much the same. I take not compressed w / my photos so I did not notice the problem. I think I've seen cela somewhere in one of the forums of dv8p. I'll see what I can find if someone beat me to a solution.

  • Satellite Pro 4600: PXE error message

I got a laptop that is not working. I'm trying to re - install XP Pro.
I changed the boot on cd first order, but it only works intermittently and jumps a lot of files.
    At the moment I have an error message;
"PXE - E61 media test failure, cable test"
"Intel DXE ROM PXE - MOF smoothly"

    Followed;
"Windows was not start because the following file is missing or damaged:
    "root\system32\hal.dll windows".
"Please re - install a copy of the above file.

It is one of the many files that have been ignored the last time that the dvd player was working.
It's a full XP Pro cd.

Can anyone please tell me if it's the hard drive or dvd player that is at fault, or could the problem lie elsewhere?

    Hello

The PXE error message usually if the laptop tries to boot from LAN.
I put t know how you changed the boot order, but the LAN option must be set at the end of the boot order.

I guess that the following error messages occur because of this setting.
    I recommend you this possibility.

  • Satellite Pro A100 - PXE message appears at startup

I have a problem and I really really really could use some help, its been listen to me for the last two days ive trawled through countless amounts of forums and web pages without success then for a last ditch attempt until I throw it out the window (figuratively) I thought I'd come here for help!

    It's a Toshiba Satellite Pro A100 model No. ' PSAAPE-00Q00KEN

initially when I started the computer this error message came

PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable of
PXE - M0F: Exit Intel Boot Agent.
    Operating system not found

now, I managed to stop the PXE errors by disabling the Lan built into the BIOS option

I have check and made sure it is not a disk in the DVD player to the left it doesn't have a floppy drive so it isn't that

BIOS for some reason usually see the hard drive is a seagate 80 GB HDD Sata, but I know that its fine because it works but in my Dell laptop.
and my Dell laptop hard drive is not seen in the Toshiba.

Now that I read all about flashing the BIOS, but I can't because the only download I get Toshiba is one that runs when windows is running (if I can't get it to boot, how do I Flash the bios)?

I also tried thing BIOS resseting to short-circuit the c88 under the wireless network card, but that didn't work or the other!

Now is there anything else I can try or do give up and throw it out the window?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello!

It's really strange, but it looks like your HARD drive to the motherboard controller is the reason for this because you said that the HARD drive works in another phone.

Can you please try another HARD drive in this notebook? If another HARD drive works the old HDD is definitely faulty and if not, I think that the motherboard must be replaced.
So, you can determine what is exactly the problem.
In addition, I think that there is nothing more you can do at the moment.

    Good bye

  • Venue 11 Pro - Slim keyboard do not behave as expected, or it must.

I recently received a dell flat keyboard for my 11 Pro - Baytrail tablet coming.    Overall, I like the quality and functionality, although I also like others encountered the intermittent non-functional keyboard, but this isn't the subject of this post.

I noticed a few things in his behavior that do not work as you might expect, and I hope that can be corrected through the software.

    1. when the keyboard is connected but folded behind the Tablet back (that is to say the keyboard is not in use) keyboard on screen does not appear.  Which makes it difficult to use the device as a tablet like whenever the data entry is required you must unfold the keyboard and hold it down somehow while you type, then fold back behind the screen to continue the use of the tablet.   When folding keyboard behind the unit of its equally important to set the keyboard to display on layout as it should stop the keyboard itself to operate, right now the keyboard no longer works as it should be unless an alternative entry is available.

    2. in the same way as #1.  When the keyboard is attached, but folded back behind the orientation of the Tablet is locked if the screen does not turn in portrait or landscape mode if necessary.  So, if you carried it with the lid / slim keyboard on and open it upwards, folding of behind the screen, the keyboard is locked in landscape mode.   The only method I've found to change his orientation is to go to the desktop and run the application of graphics intel to change direction.

Combined makes the slim keyboard worse than useless in several scenarios of use.   I want the keyboard slim for the occasional need to enter more data as possible on the touchscreen AND protect the tablet... but if your use is more compressed than laptop, you'll find yourself constantly work around these limitations.

You have a great product here, but you really need to take a page from the playbook of the surface here.   They sort of set the standard and expectations for how keyboard covers on tablets should work, and although I really like the material usage is clumsy, in its current form.

Glad to hear you guys are to find some kind of workaround for this.  About the requested changes, I've confirmed with engineering teams that unfortunately these elements are not possible given the current design of equipment.   They are documented for future products however.   Appreciate all the comments on this issue and my apologies for not being able to provide a solution for this product.

  • Venue 11 pro keyboard guard disconnection

When I plug my place 11 pro in the mobile keyboard (the one with the extra battery) it will work for about 5 minutes, but then the Tablet ceases to recognize the keyboard and keys and the touch pad does not work anymore. I have to turn off the screen and turn it on again to reconnect. How can I solve this problem to stay connected all the time?

For others - please do not attempt if you are not comfortable with the risks described in previous emails.   This will have a negative impact on your battery life.

    (1) run regedit

    2) go to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USB\

    (3) locate each entry labeled VID_06CB & PID_2819xxxxx (I have four on my machine, one that took end in 2819 only and three others with 2819 & MI_0x where x is 0, 1, and 2)

    (4) expand each tree until you get to the "device settings" and click on it

    (5) on the right side of the editor, you will see an entry for "SelectiveSuspendEnabled.   Change the value from 1 to 0.

    6) repeat for each entry VID_06CB & PID_2819xxxxx.

    (7) close regedit, stop and restart.

    (8) check if this solves the problem or not.

  • Satellite Pro L10: PXE - E61 - Media test failure check cable error message

I recently bought a laptop L10 without the hard drive, and whenever I try to start it with a hard disk newly installed, I get this message.
PXE - E61: MEDIA TEST FAILURE CHECK CABLE
PXE - MOF: EXIT PXE ROM

    IM DESPERATE PLESE HELP

    Hi Nash

The PXE error occurs because the laptop tries to start first from the local network.
You must enter the BIOS and change the order on HARD disk or a CD. I recommend that you set the LAN option at the end of the boot order.

The recovery CD you can buy form the Toshiba service partner in your country.
The number on the sticker is only an OEM key. You can not use it with a Windows operating system several.

  • Tablet is dead. -Venue 11 Pro (7130). -Now what?

It is a meeting place 7130 Pro 11 (serial number: Service tag removed by privacy policy >)

It used windows 8.1, worked fine one day without any sign of distress, the next day, it lights,

Only the orange (red?) LED lights indicating that the charger is plugged.

I tried these combinations of special keys, 20 seconds and such, or other for the diagnostic mode or bios. but no, the only thing that happens is the LED briefly flashes, dark going again, then back to orange and the continuous device sitting there doing nothing like a potato.

The charger and battery have already been checked and they have no issues.
There is no problem with either ssd or wifi card.

He did not participate completely yet, but it is likely that I need spare parts or get a replacement.
I'll see if Dell is able to help me first, otherwise, I have the opportunity to replace defective parts myself, but I don't have the spare parts available, I'm in Australia, it would be nice to find the parts locally another experienced crowd who are familiar with this situation.

    See you soon.

Also. I'm not very impressed with the site of Dell--have spent many many many hours during recent weeks make attempts to contact our support, but has been continually to go around in circles and nowhere for some reason any all * support webform, I tried inexplicably refuses to work correctly for me and my submission, to dismiss (* I managed to get on the sales department) (, but they said to contact technical support.) Fortunately there is this forum or I might had to actually resort to use the ol' phone ', and we all know how fun that is, not us. :-|

It is now fixed. found someone with a card mother spare for it. works well again. in the meantime, I bought a tablet of surface 3 pro, it was on sale. but it's nice to have a work dell Tablet once again.

    Thank you.

  • Venue 11 Pro BIOS / Intel Management Engine problems

    Hello

Recently my Tablet Dell place 11 Pro 7130 (vPro) with Windows 8.1 x 64 has had problems applying power. He would have before start in 20 seconds or so, and now it may take a minute or more before you post what whatsoever.

In the Device Manager Windows "Intel Management Engine Interface" shows an exclamation point and wrote:

"The device cannot start. (Code 10)

    STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE ".

The research forums, I tried to update the drivers of the IME by using different versions. I tried to Dell website, as well as Intel. They all fail to install with the same error as above.

Here are the most recent driver Dell tried support:

    http://www.Dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=PRRRC&FILEID=3339487189&OSC

When I tried to Flash the BIOS of the A12 A13, it gives me no errors, loin very well until he decided to restart. After the reboot happens exactly as previously having never run the BIOS flash.

I reached out to Dell support and they tried to install the same driver over and over again (about half a dozen times or more) before they me just reinstall my OS based on what forums suggest.

So what I asked of them is a replacement motherboard, I get not anywhere, but I feel that it is all related to these problems:

    http://en.community.Dell.com/support-forums/mobile-devices/f/4586/t/19542362?pi239031352=4

    http://en.community.Dell.com/support-forums/mobile-devices/f/4586/t/19589473

Can someone enlighten us more on this topic? I don't think a reinstallation of the operating system will solve this, and my current thoughts are I'm stuck without being able to Flash the BIOS thats why IME is bad mood against me.

I'm not tense at this point, all hope based on the forums that I will get this tablet in good operating condition, and once the dell technical support suggested I ignore the error it lead me to believe that I'll buy a new Tablet 8 months in possession of it.

    Thank you.

Unfortunately, you will need to return the unit to the deposit to this fixed.   Once a unit is in this State, it is not possible to update the BIOS via the customer facing tools.   Deposit use a special tool which allows to overcome and correct state.   Apologies for the inconvenience.   Note that the most recent BIOS version have fixed ME Intel which should avoid this problem again.

  • Venue 8 Pro 64 GB updated to Windows 10 freezes to the Lockscreen

My 64 GB coming 8 Pro has been updated to the latest version of Windows 10 build 10856 version 1511. When I try to start it, the safe freezes to the lockscreen, screen you get before the connection. Plus, the lockscreen is in Portrait mode, even if the Tablet is placed in the landscape.

I can't connect to the Tablet, and as it is, it is only good as a paperweight. Any ideas on how can this be repaired?

I love the Tablet and use it all the time. Help, please.

    DanielNTX,

I thought about your response and realizing that I have the team spirit on the Tablet, I decided to try to connect remotely with the tablet. I was able to connect, and a simple mouse click got me to the login page. Apparently, the 5830 Chipset Driver_67YC3_WIN32_603.9600.2067.27988.A00. Somehow, EXE has stopped working properly. Fortunately, I had saved a copy of this driver and reinstalled, and now the Tablet works fine.

While this was not the way you suggested, I think that using the OTG cable and a usb hub, I perhaps was able to connect a mouse and a keyboard for the Tablet and have solved this way.

Thanks for your suggestion. Problem solved.

  • (Redirected) Venue 11 pro - does not detect a different view

    Hello

I have several of these tablets pro 11 place and none of the others have this problem.  It is connected to a dock and an external monitor via hdmi to vga converter.  It does not detect the external display.  The others work fine.  This one had the Board replaced a few months ago due to a charging problem.  It is not a driver issue I tried to update, and others are not on an updated driver.  Have also been downgraded to see if it was the update.  I was wondering if maybe the replacement card is defective or if there is something else I might be missing.  Have updated the firmware on the docking station to resolve the fact of disconnect as well.  Any thoughts would be much appreciated

  • Venue 8 pro does not start until

I loaded my 8 pro place last night (it will turn off the battery was empty). and this morning when I tried to turn it on, nothing happens.  Nothing will happen.  any ideas on how to make it work again?  I can't have dell run diagnostics - because it will not activate.  I also couldn't find anyway to find someone to talk with the dell website - so maybe the community forum may come to my rescue.  Ideas are welcome...

Try pressing power and volume down at the same "Tine".  It should light up, the bios or the login screen.

This has happened to me, but not because of a battery drain.

    Good luck

  • Venue 11 Pro Ethernet Controller does not not at Gigabit speed

    Hello

I got a place 11 Pro 7130 with the office computer docking station.  I'm having the same HDMI DVI issues that everyone else is having, however I have also another problem with him where I can't connect to the Gigabit speed network, even if it is announced as having a Gigabit Ethernet card.

Dell Reference number that was on my order is part # 332-2364, which shows a number of part physically on the dock as model "K10A.

In Device Manager, it shows my network card, which must be a 6 AX88772C USB 2.0 to Fast Ethernet adapt.  Fast Ethernet card I can say only means that it supports speeds of 10/100 MB, while according to the specifications for the dock it shows clearly that its supposed to come with a card Gigabit.  Here is a link to the job description:

I also have this connected to two different network switches supporting the two Gigabit speeds and none of them will negotiate Gigabit speeds.  On the properties of the adapter in the Device Manager, it shows the highest speed that I can force the adapter is 100 full duplex MB.  When I connect my laptop E6520 to one of these same connections, it immediately detects GIgabit.

As another test, I plugged a USB31000S Startech USB 3.0 adapter Gigabit Ethernet and that will also establish links to Gigabit speeds.  As by chance also a network ASIX adapter this adapter has, which is a reference number different and is described as an adapter Gigabit Ethernet in Device Manager.

So, what's the problem with the network card in my desktop dock or is - this false advertising, or y at - it an update of the driver or something?

    Thank you.

The NIC dock is only 10/100.   Unfortunately, the web page that you reference has incorrect information.   A request was made to change this, earlier when it was caught, but obviously that has not yet arrived.   I'm going to submit another application.    We will soon have a dongle available Gigabit, but he didn't intend to offer gigabit in the current desktop dock.

  • Venue 8 pro-active stylets

I recently bought the active stylus for Dell to use with my Tablet coming 8 Pro.  Unfortunately, the only instructions that came with it were how to install the battery.  I realized that a tap with the pen is the same as a left click with a mouse.  However, it is as far as I know.  I tried in vain to search for all the online instructions. Re: «...» "' Could someone let me know how to use the pen and what the two buttons on the pen do? '"

Go to the Control Panel on desktop (icons view' wide to display all the items), then select "Pen and Touch.

There is information here and some options for the pen and the shortcuts and touch. This should get you. Hope this helps
