  There is something called Oracle BIC2Go... that is a pre-packaged image virtual machine you can get either from your Oracle representative or purchase... It has all the services for financial analytics with data type "demo". Otherwise, you may have to do the complete installation/configuration of BI applications. Try to run it against the vision of Oracle EBS or a 'Demo' of PeopleSoft Db... etc... but these are small DBs and not really will give you the necessary data for most of the dashboard OOTB reports.

  -Informatica and DAC (for the demo or the actual installation) or can we use our existing warehouse and ETL tool?
  BI applications to DAC and Informatica (although a version of applications used BI ODI). You can't just plug in another tool. I am told Oracle can go to ODI for future versions, but for now you need DAC and LOWER.

  -Oracle financial analytics is compatible with OBIEE 11 g?

  It is available for version 7963 STANDARD (the latest version).

  In my project, we plan to implement OBIA financial analytics as part of the initial discovery, and my manager asked me to collect information on the table of available dashboard, dashboard Pages, reports and their description.
  
  I managed to get information about dashboards and its pages, but information on the reports and their description are not available on a site or a blog.
  
  Can someone help me please on this; If the screenshot of the report is available, it will be even more useful.

• Financial Analytics: Query GL balance

  Someone if the project this far THAT DR/CR represented balances in the table in Oracle GL GL_BALANCES is represented in financial analytics 7.9.6.3.
  
  Specifically, I want to know where we have the situation where GL is enabled for the project of basic accounting, information project_to_date_cr/Dr. would load in the data warehouse, the standard reports allow you to query this information or do we need project analytics of license for this information or to build a customization?

• OLIVIER 7.9.5 'Financial analytics' full load fails

  We are implementing instance OBIA7.9.5 Oracle 11.5.10 Vision.
  
  Components installation succeeded.
  We followed the respective Configuration steps for the Analytics module and set up the latter.
  
  When we start full charge for financial analytics,
  321 tasks, 215 was properly executed, 2 tasks failed and remaining were stopped
  
  below were the failed task
  Load in Position Dimension-> create Index W_POSITION_D_U1 INDEX

  everything by analyzing the error code above in the oracle forum, got a clue at the bottom of the link

  If you right click on the task (or taskgroup) who is a failure in the dac and select 'Détails', you can see a list of the indexes that are supposed to have created and to check on those who fail.

  In addition, if you just want to finish the execution plan to look at where you are now find the clues failed and set them to the full status and re-queue implementation plan.

• How financial analytics to determine the types of dimensions

  How can we determine what types of dimensions are built by Oracle as part of OLIVIER? I am wanting to understand the types of dimensions (Type I, Type II and one who is slowly changing dimension and what columns are used for dates to keep history of these dimension tables) for all of the dimensions of the box provided.

  Hi, for BIApps v > = 7.9.6.x Look Design-->--> Tab(bottom pane) the task settings. You will see *' $$ TYPE2_FLG ' * parameter (look at the specific SIL tasks in the list)

  For older versions of BI applications find you in DAC--> Design--> Source system settings tab

  Guys, I know there are a few of us out there who is, or did the implementation of PA with Oracle Finance.
  
  I went through the docs and found how measures for "you can enable Oracle financial analytics for EBS use the dimension tables in Oracle project analytics.»

  However, I don't see this option for the domain "Finance - Accounting. I find myself manually by adding the option "Activate the Dimensions of project" by click on the < Add / Remove > option of the Configuration Tags tab under the theme "Finance - Accounting.
  
  Can anyone confirm that they faced the same "problem"? What actions did take? I have in the past executed charges without make this selection for all Oracle finance, and he always seemed to make the connection between the Oracle Finance and PA.

  Made general don't have no connection to the dimensions of the project, that is to say there is no analysis of the dimensions of the project GL data. This is why you don't see in the GL subject area. If you added it yourself and lit, it has probably no effect.

• Financial Incremenatl for Analyics load using Informatica-Performance problem

  We took of incremental charges for financial analytics of Oracle EBS 11.5.10.2 using Informatica 8.6. Our version of the OBIEE apps is 7.9.6. Someone at - it run in having to add indexes on LAST_UPDATE_DATE of many of the sources such as AP_AE_HEADERS_ALL tables. We analyze performance issues with ETL queries for incremental load and realized that most of the queries use LAST_UPDATE_DATE to extract the data from the source tables. Some source tables do not have an index on this field.

• Fianacial Analytics failed with error Code = 36331

  Hi all
  I run the execution plan for financial analytics EBS R12 and few tasks in this EP failed. When I try to debug them using the session log files, I could not find them. I mean, there is no session generated for these tasks failed newspapers! But, newspapers workflow does not give me clear reason, they had good reason for the failure. Is there another way, where I can get to debug these tasks...
  
  In the workflow log, I found «Error Code = 36331:Unknown error code reason 36331»
  When I gave a fresh search on this error, it sent me to a position where we must apply the patches EBF189068 and EBF191169. But in my case, I already have the EP was properly executed for EBS 11.5.10 version.
  But do not know if the patches have been applied or not, if not yet what I apply these patches?

  However after taking another look at your journal for Wflw, I think you may have a problem with the connection:
  TM_6193 that an error has occurred during the expansion of the connection of database connection parameter name ORA_R12 for the variable of $DBConnection_OLTP database connection is not well defined. .

  Are you sure that you have access to your defined source DB? You specified settings for your execution Plan in DAC correctly?

• Change since V29 Analytics

  Hello

  I was wondering what is changed in the new Analytics as it appears an article in my folio dropped on the radar.  I have a folio of 24 pages, but only the numbers for 23 of them. The missing item is listed producer of folio as an ad, with the skin of the TOC box also checked.

  In previous versions of Analytics, I always had a single article which appears as "not specified" - and by process of eliimination - assumed this relationship with this article, as the other 23 appeared as the name.

  It was actually something false and in fact ads not County / appear in content views?

  (All the metadata was present and correct the first download of the folio, with all items correctly named & tagged etc.).

  I trust Analytics DPS that we have Site Catalyst. Are there plans to integrate the DPS with insight in the future?

  If you're looking for views of ad for your ad title, here are the two reports on the new analytics that you should look into:

  (1) content view (s) (as described on page 8 of the documentation): this report shows the number of times an end user views articles or ads.

  (2) ad view (s) (as described on page 9 documentation): this report shows the number of times a user views each ad.

  The report that you must look in the previous version of Analytics was a report under Article which showed the content of the views.  All your reveal ads appear as "unpsecified" because they also trigged of events of the display of the content.

  We are not planning to integration DPS with Insight, use case what are you trying to solve this problem this integration?

  Recently, I downloaded the Applications Oracle BI 11.1.1.9.2 for Platform Windows of the RTO. Now since Oracle has published applications BI 11.1.1.10.1 which is the latest version of BI applications, I am unable to find the download link for 11.1.1.9.2.

  Even though I explicitly give the version I need, its redirect me to 11.1.1.10.1 download page.

  Background
  
  OLTP Source: Oracle eBusiness Suite 11.5.10
  OBI Apps: Financial analytics 7.9.6
  
  We have 49 currencies activated and several sets of books (sobs) each with a different functional currency and I am concerned about the limits of global currencies within the OBI Apps configuration. Documentation, it states that:
  

     Global currencies. Oracle BI Applications provides three global currencies, which are the common currencies used by the Oracle Business Analytics Warehouse. 

  I am curious to know if the 3 currencies global standard can be extended by adding more custom settings in the settings of the Source system, for example $$ GLOBAL4_CURR_CODE, $$ GLOBAL5_CURR_CODE, etc. and corresponding Exchange settings $$ GLOBAL4_RATE_TYPE, etc.
  
  The definition of Documentdocumentation, the Local and the Global currencies, the following configuration for global currencies makes no sense:

  $$GLOBAL1_CURR_CODE (for the document currency).
  
  $$GLOBAL2_CURR_CODE (for the local currency).
  
  $$GLOBAL3_CURR_CODE (for the global currency).

  Without doubt, these must be the 3 standard Definitions of global currency. If so, I want to confirm that local currencies and Document get picked up automatically depending on your configuration of EBS?

  Hello

  3 global currency codes are different than the local, functional currency.
  All transactions are entered into the warehouse and there is no limit to the number of currencies that can be worn in front but for reporting the end you want to convert all of these transactions in multiple currencies to the single currency... .lets say US$ and a monthly rate or GBP to a place rate etc...

  So in summary document and the local currenclies come and there is no configuration required but translation to a global reporting currency and rates during which his converted is determined by what you provide in the CAD... the conversion is made by mplt_currency_conversion which is present in each fact mapping.
