Very likely Mac hacked remotely

Hello

My Mac has almost certainly been hacked (remotely). I copied the following from my Terminal. Anyone who knows these things see anything that looks a little weird or as a hack remote? I am aware that hackers change name what they place, to make it look more normal. But I have not installed anything out of the ordinary myself. (Also I don't have a BlackBerry, so not sure that first thing what about). Thank you very much.

  • Very concerned Mac was on fire!

Firstly noticed smoke that floats in front of the screen, but thought it was my ecig.  Then I heard some crackling and popping noises and a horrible smell of burning, then fire saw coming out on the side of my mac (I used it at the time!)

I managed to put out the flames and thought that my mac would not work again, but everything seems fine?

Burn damage can be seen and still stinks.  My mac is four years old, and my applecare warranty has now lapsed.

Advice or suggestions you would know that I am very careful in case it happens again.

Take it to an Apple Store or authorized service provider and ask them to look at.

  • End of 2012 very slow Mac. Etrecheck joint

I have a Mac to end 2012, El Capitan, which has been gradually running slower and slower.  It seems preferable, once he is fully initialized, but it takes that which feels like an age to actually start, and if I try to open applications such as Mail, Safari. Finder etc., I sometimes get the beachball for several minutes.  I ran a couple of Etrechecks for beachballing and the other for the computer is too slow.  The disk information section seems worrying, but I'm not really sure what I'm looking at in the Etrecheck, so some constructive advice would be welcome.

Thank you very much in anticipation.

If you do not have a backup, copy both of your documents on a external drive NOW.

Then go to an authorized Apple store or repair shop and have the hard drive replaced.

If possible, take the opportunity to replace the old hard drive with an SSD. You will be amazed at your 'new' machine. It's like night and day.

  • Back to my Mac drive remote access

I tried to set up my Time Capsule and the hard drive connected to it to be accessible on the internet via Back to My Mac. My Time Capsule is the main router and the modem to the ISP provided is in bridge mode. I followed the instructions of installation to the letter, but it still not connect when I try to on the internet. I tried to connect life iPhone tethering and friend home as well with no luck.

Tried to help out a little and when I go to the iCloud tab in system preferences, I get the following message on the CCMM: Back to My Mac can be slow because multiple devices on your network provides network services. Turn off NAT and DHCP on one of the devices and try again.

The problem is that NAT is enabled, my Time Capsule is set up for back to my Mac and I enabled sharing of files on it, as well as on WAN access records. I also tried the deactivation and activation CCMM on both Time Capsule and in settings iCloud, still the same error. My only goal is to be able to connect to the Time Capsule and access the files remotely.

    I hope someone can help.

    Thank you!

provided the ISP modem is in Bridge mode

It may or may not be, because ISPS generally have some strange ideas about what the term "Clipping" might mean.

What is the number and model of your modem?

If all goes well, it is a simple modem.. .with a single Ethernet port the device... as in the example just below, which is the type of device that you really need to be able to access on your network from the Internet devices.

I hope once again, it is not a type of modem/router or gateway device, which combines the functions of the modem router and separated in one package... as in the example below. Often, it is not possible to configure this type of law only as a simple modem device... and what the ISP calls 'Clipping'... is not really. Thus, you're left with a problem NAT which slows down and restricting remote access.

  • Break glass a very easy Apple TV remote control

We bought a new apple tv 4. Now after 2 days because the remote is so happy, he eludes easy hands.

No problem with any remote without glas.

Apple use a glass so thin and weak that it will break after a decline of only 1 meter high on the floor. This glass is so strong, that our employee cut his hand.

We ask this through the present apple to change the design of this remote, so it is safe to use.

When we look at the remote control, it can be folded very easy.

It is a factory engineer bloop.

It is not necessary to go into an endless debate.
Yes, this remote is very slippery

Yes, this glass cut in a hand of people picking up the Earth.

No we couldn't use the loop because different people would use this RC.

No, it a cover arranty so that it is not available.

No, we didn't have 2 left hands.

This info is to protect other people and hope that apple will change this issue of quality.

(the red stripe is to protect the glass and the people)

No, it a cover arranty so that it is not available.

    Yes it is.

  • Photoshop CS6 crashes constantly on 2 very different Mac, but CS5 running very stable!

    Hello

our photoshop cs6 (with the last update 13.0.4) keeps crashing every day and is not stable at all.

so we would work with cs 5 again one time, that this version is very stable and will not crash even once in a year.

We are every day / '9-5' working in a studio of photographers´ and use 2 different macs:

-new mac pro 6-core (2010/Westmere) with 48GB of RAM under system 10.8.3

-old mac pro with two 2.66 GHz Dual-core Intel Xeon "Woodcrest" of 2006 with 16 GB of RAM under system 10.7.6

(both with standard graphics cards equipped/shipped)

CS6 blocks whith daily suite of tasks:

    -frequent crashes: using "fuzzy".

    -frequent crashes: using "refine edge".

    -sometimes using «turn the tool»

in our tests, we discovered, that 'turn off the graphics card' (photoshop > settings > performance) in the mac pro 2006, would avoid an accident, when you use "refine edge". in the latest mac pro 2010, we found no solution to avoid an accident.

a 'crash', we define as follows: during the tasks mentioned, photoshop has disappeared from the screen in the blink of a second, and a sign of osx appears "photoshop broke down..."

    Thanks for your time...

I had crashes in ' gpu: 'basic' in fashion design, too. " but we sell all the old mac Pro from 2006 to 2012 and buy the latest mac Pro 2013 in December with GPUs "AMD fire pro w9000.

    This problem has disappeared, thanks!

  • very slow Mac

My iMac os 10.7.5. has worked so so slow.  Internet and in-house programs.  so went to drive utilities check the disc and everything was ok.  I then noticed four s dmg with Installer below.  I don't know what they are except that they are in a temporary folder.  When I go to eject or move to trash message says "disc"BYeuUz.dmg"cannot be disassembled.   Make sure that all applications and files are closed on this disc"there are more than four of those files, they have changed as well.  Does anyone have this problem and this could be the reason for the slowness

  • Messages App on very slow Mac

It takes forever to write (recognized by the application) and send a message. This question has recently begun, but it becomes more and more so. It's very frustrating so please help!

    May be a corrupt .plist.

Make a backup, preferably 2 backups on 2 separate drives.

    Quit the application.

Go to Finder and select your user folder. With this Finder window as the windshield, select Finder/display/display options for presenting or order - J.  When the display options opens, check "show the library folder. This should make your visible user library folder in your user folder.  Select the library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.iChat.plist.  Move the .plist on your desktop.

Restart your computer, open the application and test. If it works fine, delete the plist for the office.

If the application is the same, return the .plist where you got it, crushing the latest.

If this does not work, repeat the above, but remove the com.apple.imagent.plist

  • Very OT: Mac mini cable connection

Sorry for the off topic question, but I know there are a lot of knowledable people in the forum.

I just bought a Mac Mini, but it seems he needs a cable adapter to connect to a VGA monitor.

    What would this adapter?

Don't really know why companies ship the things that are unnecessary. Of course Apple could include the card in the package.

    See you soon

    Hi markerline.

This is the thing we are talking about?

    http://www.Amazon.co.UK/Apple-MB572Z-mini-display-adapter/DP/B001IF252 M

I'm looking for confirmation that it will work with a Mac Mini. I've been watching others and they mention powerbooks, probooks but not mini.

Ive got a strange thing to research comes with the Mini, a HDMI adapater. WTF, who is all about. It is useless to me, it might as well stuff until my * for all the good it is.

To answer your question Yes it is the right part and I am sure you should be able to find 3 party options that cost less expensive without the Apple brand.  Not sure to the United Kingdom, but in the U.S. There is a seller sells the adapter for $13 and the mini displayport to VGA 10' cable for only $16.  And the adapter, you should have received is HDMI/DVI (digital).  Apple does not include something similar more because most technical notes and specifications on the resolutions is with HDMI or DVI output.

  • My Mac Mini can be hacked from the Wifi?

    Hello!

I was a proud owner of Mac Mini, less than a week. First of all, I would like to give my gratitude to Apple for creating this wonderful little tool.

But as a long time Windows user, I ran into a problem I can't seem to find an answer to.

I discovered that my Mac had opened a Wifi connection. And as a person, which is used for cables Ethernet (that I use now, too), the Wifi is unknown and not very liked territory.

Was on WiFi, but marked "wifi is turned on, but is not connected to a network.

N00b I am, am a little worried about this new link, began to bite it and found a lot of names, I understand where my neighbors Wifi connections. With my luck, I managed to hurt someone, who do not have their protected Wifi password and found myself suddenly watching "wifi is connected to the android ap and a IP [...]".

I panicked as *, started trying to find a way to get rid of it and seemed finally to delete it after 3 minutes of the curse.

Then, I turned off the wifi and changed to 'inactive' as well.

My apologizes for the long text, but I'd love to hear the opinions of people who are not filled with panic as I am:

    1) when "wifi is turned on, but is not connected to a network", it means it is secure and no one can hack my wifi Mac?

    (2) when I entered accidentally someone another wifi unprotected for a few minutes, my Mac have been compromised?

    And the most important:

    (3) Changing wifi to be 'off' and then 'dormant', am I sure of any wifi hacking back? As there is zero connection wifi and no one outside could enforce on my Mac?

I understand how stupid my questions can and no doubt make sound, but I'm inherently paranoid person and only one in my family, which has a semblance of agreement when it comes to computers, so there is no one to ask.

I would be very grateful if someone could help me,

    Sincerely

    (1) Yes

    (2) No, just don't send any important information on an unprotected WiFi (passwords, credit card numbers etc.)

    (3) Yes

  • Apple tv remote and my mac mini

I have recently set up a TV and use it for my mac mini, as well as my apple tv.  The apple TV remote seems to exploit both the apple tv and mac mini.  I'm trying to find a way to stop the operation of the mac mini remote control.  I matched the remote with apple TV, but it still seems to cause of my mac mini leave the sleep and open iTunes so I'm trying to browse my apple tv apps and look at something.

I checked the settings on my mac mini and is States there is 'no distance not matched' with the computer, then, how can I stop the operating distance of the computer?

    Thanks in advance!

    Welcome to the Apple community.

If you don't want to use a remote control with your computer, the best thing to do is just turn off the IR. (System preferences > Security > general, click on the Advanced button in the lower right corner - if the button is dimmed, click the lock icon and enter your administrators password)

If you want to continue using your remote computer, then you must match your remote computers with the computer AND the Apple TV remote with Apple TV.

To match a remote control with a device hold down menu and FF buttons together for six seconds or until you see an icon of the chain on screen (better take the computer in another room, or turn it off, when you do)

  • The remote Siri works with the MacBook Pro 13 Mid2012?

    Hello

I'm Slim. I use a macbook pro13 (Mid2012) non-retine version. I was very happy to know apple for mac accessories include a remote control IR for my Mac. But at no time I got confused that one to buy? After a search on this topic on Apple store. The apple Web site gives enough information about the greater Apple Remote compatible with MacBook before END 2012, excluding versions of the retina but there was no word on Siri remote compatible with the same. Now that Siri debuted on Macs, Siri remote will work on this subject?

I think that the distance of Siri will work as a remote IR for your Mac. However, the functions of Siri are currently limit to 4 ATV.
