VGA no signal

What does say when I get the message that says "No VGA Signal"?  Do I need to replace something?

This means that the monitor is not getting a signal VGA (blue analog video cable) to the computer. It's normal if you use other such (white) DVI video cables and cables HDMI (black). In this case, VGA is not active.

I would check the video cable from the Tower of the pc to the monitor. If it's the blue VGA cable then make sure it is connected properly at both ends.

You get no matter what video display when you turn on the lcd screen and the pc?

  • HP Pavilion a1340n no VGA no signal after memory upgrade

Hi, I have an old pc that I wanted to add more memory. The PC is a HP Pavilion a1340n Desktop running XP Media Center 2005. I did all the updates for the OS and I can't get to the BIOS. The problem is that when the sticks are in both slots. I tried both sticks one at a time, one in both slots. The PC starts normal. The sticks are both 1 GB PC2 4200 DDR2 SDRAM 533 MHz 4-4-4. One is the stock RAM and others I just bought from Newegg. There is no graphics card. He runs the edge ATI Radeon Xpress 200 for Intel processors. I get no vga signal when both sticks are installed. the authorized maximum memory is 2 GB. I'm not sure of what may be the issue. Someone has an idea, what happens?

OK I solved the problem. I feel like a fool. A stick was double-sided with a total of 16 chips and the other was alone with only 8 chips. That's what was causing the conflict. I have to give credit to my friend with Georgia Pacific IS the Department to resolve the issue.

Please help I don't know anything about the operation of computers, I went yesterday and the tower is a beeep then a beeeeeeeeeeeep on several occasions and anoyingly, there is also no screen on the monitor only a short display telling me there is no signal input vga monitor goes to sleep I tested the monitor with the turn of my brothers and it works very well, so now, I have no idea what if what to do next, as I can't reach the same splash screen I can't do some tests of material, there is only 24 hours and it kills me! I need internet back im lost without, plllllllllllllllleeeeease anyone have any ideas before go me crazy!

Hi, what you want to do first is remove the (memory) ram sticks and put back them in. Re-allocation of places your RAM sticks can solve your problem. If you also have a video pci-express agp/pci/or card so you can re seat which as well.

The RAM sticks are borads green circuit that chips on them in sizes of 3-inch 1 in. (approximately). They are kept in that they place in the motherboard by white tabs on both sides.

Try these steps below after reading and see the diagram with the photos on page 7 to 9 from the link below.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c00877796.PDF

    (1) unplug the power cable from the back of the pc, unscrew the screws at the back of the large pc Tower and then remove the side panel (the side of the pc stands out).

    (2) then put the pc on the side, with the open side facing upwards so you can look down in and locate the locations of memory. Don't forget to look for the white tabs holding them places.

    (3) once find you them, they are usually 1, 2, or 4 sticks them to total, to make the next step to each stick, one at a time.

First, push the white paws holding a stick of ram and the ram stick will pop out and you can pull it up towards you. Then everything just put back, push down (not too hard, careful not to damage it or the Board of Directors) and then the white tabs will click in each side. Make sure that you put the lever of ram you out in the same way, don't flit it that it will in a sense.

    (4) after that for all the RAM sticks, check inside the computer to make sure the cables are not loose and connected as they should be and then replace the side panel and the screw and turn on the pc and see what happens.

Here is a guide on how to locate the RAM sticks. I hope this helps.

" After about 3 to 4 times to go through who / pc boots fine and desktop is displayed on the monitor.  So, what could be my problem?  It sounds as if there is a problem with my video card?

    TlWilliams,
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers community forum.

Yes, that sounds like a video card problem.  Or it could just be a cable or in bulk.  Check the cable that goes from the video card to the monitor to make sure you it is connected at both ends, try change if it is editable, turn off your computer and reinstall your video card (take out and put back) If you are comfortable doing this, or contact who built to allow you to take a look.

  • HP Slimline S5 - 1120D: how to use VGA internal?

    Hello

I am currently using Windows Update to 10 anniversary and my screen turns off after a few minutes I have to play the game. It says "VGA: No Signal.

How to use the other port VGA on my PC? Currently, they are covered with plastic and has "do not remove" on the subject.

Coming from my PC with NVIDIA GT 520 graphics card, but I think that this graphics card is broken now.

Can I remove my VGA card and use the other ports? Or do I need to change some settings?

    Kind regards
    Delegation of Dian

    Hello:

Before physically uninstall the graphics card from nvidia, uninstall it in Device Manager.

Go to Device Manager, expand the category of device of graphics cards.

Make a right-click on the graphics card from Nvidia that there are listed and choose uninstall.  Also check the uninstalling the driver box.

Do not restart the PC you are prompted.

Go to control panel > programs and uninstall all software listed Nvidia.

Once this is done, turn off the PC, remove the graphics card.

Remove the covers of video ports, plug your monitor DVI or VGA port (your choice) and turn on the PC.

The switch must be automatic and I think W10 will find and install the Intel HD graphics driver.

  • Need to connect by Satellite U945-S4110 to the VGA-IN of the external monitor port

Is this enough for this HDMI to VGA Converter active

then a VGA - VGA cable

    > What do I need?

Well, the phone supports only the output HDMI port. This port sends the signal video and audio digital.

In the case where your external monitor supports only RGB (VGA) port, you will need to use some sort of adapter/converter, which would be able to convert the digital signal HDMI to VGA analog signal.

I put t know if the adapter might work, but you will not get sound because VGA does not support audio, only video signal.

  • Satellite P50-B-103 - to connect my HDMI output on a VGA monitor

    Hi all

I just bought a satellite * P50-B-103 *, which has a HDMI output and I want to connect it to an external VGA monitor.

I thought that I just need to buy a HDMI - VGA Converter, but the buyer was told that Toshiba, unless this model, is not ready to connect to a VGA monitor, although I use a converter.

Is it true or I can connect my laptop to the vga monitor using the converter?

    Thanks in advance,

    Charly

It remains that HDMI provides digital signal and analog support port VGA (RGB) signal.

To be honest, I read a lot of articles on these adapters and converters, but in many cases, these converters are useless.

So it s no matter if your laptop was manufactured by Toshiba or another manufacturer.
ITSA the question of the standard of caught signals supported by each port.

tried another laptop to my TV and looks great...

Why is my HDMI works perfectly, but my VGA display colored vertical lines?...
    Not to do...
It's hopeless... I need the VGA output of my computer toshiba laptop l500 to work.

    Greetings from the Spain.

Question may be stupid at first but why do you need VGA connection if HDMI works perfectly? I mean using HDMI you will have better photo quality and also sound is transferred to television.
Using VGA video signal will be sent to the TV.

In any case, I put t know which driver you are using. What is your laptop pre-installed with original OS that you got with your laptop?
Do you use the only TV option when this happens?

VGA signals are not numeric.  "You will probably get a VGA HDMI": conversion "box.  It would normally take the VGA "analog" signals and "convert to" HDMI digital signals.

  • Monitor keeps going sleep

    Hello

I have a desktop HP Pavilion Elite HPE-063uk, product number PC: VG251AA, serial number {content removed}, with Windows 7, my monitor continues to go to sleep, and a message saying VGA NO SIGNAL appears. The only way to wake up, it's turning the pc on the power button (the F2 key or "half moon" if she awaken but does not work).

I checked everything, since the "save power settings (which is on off)" screensaver (excluding schools) and no matter what I can find on the HP help and support, resolution of problems, tests of this and that, even connected to another monitor and restored to an earlier date, but I can not solve the problem.

Please can you help. Thank you.

    Hi vitolaterza,

Are you the no VGA signal after the computer goes to sleep? If so, it's normal.

Disable all options of sleep mode; Make sure that everything is set to never sleep.

Check the cables at the back, you only need a video cable to the screen.  Also go to hp.com and download the latest BIOS and graphics driver.

Here is a link to download the drivers.

Let me know if it helps.

  • Audio for PC 40TL963B

Either I'm doing something wrong or Toshiba totally effed here.

I recently tried connected my laptop to the TV for watching videos. Of course, I plugged the laptop on VGA on TELEVISION port and everything works perfectly well on the video side.

Then came the PC audio... and I think "Where the hell is it? Why the sound TV has NO audio input for the PC, is beyond me. I tried to connect the laptop to two red/white audio inputs RCA (used for the component), but this does not work, because they only work on the component channel.

Why oh WHY Toshiba omit such a useful feature? The last TV I had was very well... He HAD an audio input for PC. This TV Toshiba, which is more recent than my last years... does NOT work. How did the Toshiba?

They expect EACH laptop PC/computer owner was going to have their own speaker connected to the computer system? Well... I don't. I just the laptop speakers and nothing more. Maybe Toshiba thought that we would be happy to connect a laptop to a large and expensive TV... only to use small, tinny portable speakers?

That's the only explanation I could think for Toshiba miss this feature. I mean.. what the hell? Seriously... Am I missing something, or the 40TL963B has really NO way or method of PC audio connection? I'll have to shell out MORE money for a decent speaker system in order to listen to the audio?

    Totally stupid.

So if you a TV connected to the computer laptop s port VGA, audio signal would not be provided.
