vi multi Launcher executable

So ive read the "not a lion tamed' blog and I liked little enquiry based launcer. When you have a pitcher that is central to start a bunch of process while separate screws it makes sense for an application requiring two halves to make a communication network. Everything could be included in the same executable, and I would just change the configuration file to load the appropriate side.

This works very well in development, but when I build one executable and Installer folder structure is not maintained, even if my ways are all drawn from the application directory where the other part of the path to each went VI?

I just checked my build and ive included all the screws which will be launched in the area always included.

Thank you guys

I thought about it. When building Setup and selecting the source files, you can click on drive c drop-down and see all the media files here.

  • use of the server for executable files VI

    Hi all

    I tried to find a good explanation and example usage of VIserver to launch executables on client PC (XP) via a LAN to a PC (Win7) process controller. Basically, what I found for the controller is specified in this code snippet:

    The following was placed in the .ini file of the target at the time of construction to allow VIserver using an executable file (?):

    Server.TCP.Enabled = True
    Server.TCP.Access = "' + * '"
    Server.TCP.port = 3364
    Server.TCP.ACL = "290000000A000000010000001D00000003000000010000002A10000000030000000000010000000000"
    Server.VI.Access =""
    server.vi.callsEnabled = True
    server.vi.propertiesEnabled = True

    If a reference to an instance of application LV is open on the computer command on a specified port, and then a VI reference target

    for the .vi file (another instance?) opens on the same target for manipulation of knot VI. So what was lost for me is the executable

    I am trying to run the file. May not be wired to the terminal way to "ref Open VI". This implementation requires the .exe version and the version of VI

    I am trying to run the code? I launched with success of executable files over a LAN using plink with a script file. Problem is that I can't find a way

    get the target executables once loaded. There is most likely a C solution for this (I'll take it if anyone knows!), but since has VIserver of tools

    to control the execution, I would use it. Also, I want to understand the version of VI of the programme and the .exe in this case (s) link

    Version. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Ben OK,

    Your messages made me a technique to load with distance and running an exe file, built in LV8.5:

    1. to load: the controller emits a "tasklist" command to a target. The objective produces an output file of tasklist which is read by the controller. If it concludes that the target is already loaded, the controller will execute it with an invoke command node 'run a VI '.

    2. If the target is not loaded, then a script file is executed on the target via plink of the controller. This command will also start running.

    3. all the subVIs must reside on the target, as you said, even if (as in my case), the target has no LV Developer Suite installed. I placed Traoré versions of files and folders to exe in the same folder.

    4. the .ini file in the compilation has changed as shown in the first post of this thread. No special settings were used in the compilation.

    This probably isn't the exact technique you had in mind, but it doesn't seem to work... Thanks again for your help.

  • How to get Windows XP in case of hard disk crash

    Hi, recently my hard drive got crashed and I lost my original Windows XP that came with my laptop pre-installed. I still have the key of Windows XP with me and I'm the only owner. Is their anyway to get it from Microsoft without any extra cost. Please let me know at * address email is removed from the privacy *.

    on laptops, operating system installation files are located on the hard disk, in a hidden place.

    These installation files can be launched / executed via a procedure known as 'factory restore '.

    a factory restore is then wipe the hard drive and install a fresh copy of the operating system of the manufacturer.

    Depending on the type of 'crash' you committed, you might be able to run a factory restore, but you will lose all your personal files too in the process.

    If the hard disk is still inside the laptop, then go into your mobile home site and look for the model number for instructions on performing a factory restore.

    either way, a hard drive crash is subjective interpretation.

    You may be able to fix it if you can borrow and xp cd from someone "or" via a startup disk that you can do on the internet.

    However, you will need to provide more information on your "crash."

  • Temporary tables in Oracle

    Hi all

    I develop a .net application with back-end in oracle 10g. I had previously worked with sql server 2005,2008 and I am new to oracle.

    I'm working on a query complex that requiries, the temporary table inside the procedure. In sql server easy to create and drop the temporary table inside the proc.

    Can I use a specific Transaction TWG to store and process temporary data inside my procedure? My web application must be linked to the database via a a username and a password. Since being a web background multi-user executes the procedure at the same time, registered under the same user name and password...

    I know it's a coomon question, but I need him...

    It is very complicated to use WITH SELCT or inline views etc...

    Thank you

    Kris.

    I know it's a coomon question, but I need him...

    If you know that this is a frequently asked question, then you must know the common answer. But we're going there repeat once more.

    In Oracle temporary tables are permanent objects. It was only the data in them that is temporary. So for your scenario, you should have the DBA create table once, like any other table.

    The thing with temporary tables is that each session sees its own data and nothing else. If your procedure can fill the table with data, treat it and send it back without a hitch.

    Since being a web background multi-user executes the procedure at the same time, registered under the same user name and password...

    Is not serious: the display of the data is controlled by session. If you do not have a problem providing the table is filled and the result set returned in a single call.

    It is very complicated to use WITH SELCT or inline views etc...

    Yes it's hard. Fortunately, CPUs get more powerful and continue to become cheaper, bandwidth so that our systems to continue to deal with the growing number of suck is code thrown at them. Is not Moore's law wonderful :)

    Cheers, APC

    Thank you

    -Joe

    Hey Joe,

    What you run here are steps of external string, which are transformed into external work when they are executed (see steps chain) upwards in the view of all_scheduler_jobs so that they are running.

    All restrictions for outdoor work hold for the external chain so that you will always have to make sure that the agent Scheduler service is running as a user who has the logon as batch windows privilege and upward.

    A simple external task works for you? If this is not you should probably get that working first and then debug your chain example later.

    Hope this helps,
    Ravi.

    and others I've read, I wrote a PC-side VI which FTPs a Source of RT dist. During my cRIO (9076), then use it "Run VI' method to launch the application.»  For test purposes, the RT VI has a call option to a simple VI FPGAS:

    With the FPGA disabled call, everything works fine.  With the call of the FPGA, the method of "Run a VI" in the code PC side returns error 1003: "the VI is not Executable.

    The cRIO VI works in interactive mode (front) with and without the call FPGA.

    Any ideas why this happens?

    I'm under LV 2011 on the PC and OR-RIO 4.0 on the cRIO.  I've included with this post project files if it can help.

    Thanks a lot and have a nice day.

    Well, it seems that I had accumulated a bad bitfile associated with the FPGA VI (there were 2 of them in the bitfiles folder, where only should have one).  The solution was to remove the old bitfiles and rebuild the FPGA of the project part.

    By pressing this button, it will start to run an executable of Labview.

    An executable of LabVIEW is an executable file like any other executable file. As long as the LabVIEW run-time engine is installed, you can call in an Excel macro using the Shell() command as calling Shell (executable).

    (EDIT: clicked Post until I had finished it)

    OR, you try to call using ActiveX with LabVIEW as an ActiveX Server?

  • Is it possible particularly handy/quick to disable controls (multi-column listbox) when executing the output material associated?

    Please excuse me if the title of the post is not clear, I would try to explain what I need to do here.

    In the application, I am currently in train, UI use multi column listboxes in several places where a set value (one line) is selected, and based on the rowset / selected, relay/material are enabled to match a given configuration (which is then verified with your comments).  The problem is, I can easily rush into the user interface and make program stuttering and choke...

    I just put my finger down in one of the rows in the listbox control and drag my finger up and down the screen as a 5 year old child see a touch screen for the first time - he tries to each entry cache/buffer.  After I stop being 5 years old again I sit and listen to the click click of the relay for a bit.  One of these list boxes, I've already implemented enable and disable to pieces of code to implement the right before the digital output and solve the controls right after that feedback has been verified.  It was kind of a pain to do, so I wonder if there is an easier way to do it.

    Any idea or suggestion appreciated!

    Thank you

  • Try to install LV DURATION 8.0 twice when I launch an executable LV 2010

    Hello again,

    I'm running into a problem where I have run an executable LabVIEW 2010 and before it starts I get a dialogue box that says it's installing the duration of LabVIEW 8.0.  If I let it continue, it later decided that I need the Setup disk for this performance, which I did not.  If I hit Cancel, it tries again (exact same dialog box).  If I cancel, then my executable starts as usual and works very well.

    Recently, I uninstalled NI-VISA to solve another problem, that forced me to also uninstall some other LabVIEW components (such as the RealTime module).  I then reinstalled NI-VISA and then reinstalled my LabVIEW Developer immediately to recover uninstalled components.

    I'm guessing that something in that uninstalling and reinstalling confused LabVIEW to cause this problem.  The particularly troublesome part is that I feel this kind of thing happened to me in the past, but I don't remember the solution.  I searched my messages, forum and knowledge base and found no mention of this type of problem at all.  I guess that means that my words were not accurate rather than sense, it is the first time this came to anyone, ever.

    If anyone has any suggestions for this stop happening, I would be grateful for the help.

    Thank you!

    -Joe
