  Hey guys! I'm new to After Effects and I have a big problem.

  I created an image in photoshop, consisting of several layers of each with a little white line 1 layer with text and 4. The image is set to RGB. So I save it to my computer and go to the AE. Once I import the psd as composition I see is called 'Logo' (which I saved as psd).  You will find below is a drop-down list display of each layer. I would like to animate the layers individually, so I select all and drag them down in the timeline panel, but in the preview, it shows all my layers of line as just white squares containing the entire layer. The only layer that works as expected is the text layer, which shows the text, then the white background. I my AE background for black if this matter the value. Oh, and the composition of the Logo, which has imported looks as it should in the preview.

  Hey, if someone could help that would be great.

  I make videos and use photoshop to create subtitles/text using the type tool, transparent background and then superimpose the image file into iMovie.

  Greetings!

  Reset preferences

  Close Photoshop.

  Press on and hold Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or Cmd + Opt + shift (MAC) and click on Photoshop to open.

  It will give you a warning message to remove the Photoshop settings folder.

  Click Yes to that.

  Note: Resetting the preferences can make you lose your custom brushes and the presets.

  I started with a multilayered photoshop file (each moving part was on a separate layer) that I imported and let Premiere Pro sequence.  I was adding keyframes and motions to the layers.  I watched the video of statement said I could double click in the program monitor and it would allow me to drag the layer autour.  But for me (Adobe Premiere Pro 20141 latest CC) when I double click in the program monitor, it changes the selected track to the track in the foreground, which is not locked.  (The visibility and Sync Lock do no difference).  So to animate the fourth layer down, I lock the three main layers.  I'm guessing there is a much better way to do it but I of course can't understand.

  I realize I can rub the top values in the effect controls panel, / down etc.  But I wanted to just grab and drag it off the screen.

  Can someone indicate a simpler way?

  Also, I assume that there is a 'logic' for why Premiere Pro changes the way that I chose and selected the highest track of the page.  Understand that logic will probably help me later as well.

  Right, so I've never really been much of a Photoshop guy.  As a Motion Designer / 3D Animator for 15 years, I've never met anything, I could not do with After Effects and/or Cinema 4 d (with Final Cut or more recently first added for good measure).

  However, I find myself in a unique and quite frustrating situation.  I need to export a model of the single image as a PSD layered image.  Easy, isn't it?  Of course, but it seems to be a few big enough caveats.  Whenever I try, I get the message:

  

  So, the first thing I did is get rid of my caches either replace them with masks or rendered a flattened version of only these two or three layers, then I could re - import and replace the dull pair of the track with just a normal raster layer.  I did until my computer was completely free of caches, and yet I still get this message.  Now, my efforts have contributed to the appearance of the resulting file when opened in Photoshop, but I still a change of color of light cyan to a shade much green, and I'm getting some transparency that I wasn't expecting in a few places.  Only blending modes that I use are Normal, Add, screen and multiply.  I don't know much about the PS, but I know she has these means available to it.

  The message speaks however for these 2 things... In other words, there must be yet ANOTHER incompatible element in the game, but I don't know what it is, or even how to track him down.  At this point, I almost want to just make it individually to each layer and try to manually assemble in Psalm... but come on.   Right - I discovered caches fairly quickly and eliminated.  As you can see from my screenshot above, I'm not using the mattes in my computer.

  I decided to go on the removal of layer by layer, until I had an export without the error message.  Turn, it's the Add mode that causes the problem.  So, I made an export of all of the layers that did not employ this mode and then exports the 2 layers that use it.  I then opened the batch in PS, flies over them adjusted until I had the right look and 2 isolated layers.  Oddly, I ended using Add (which PS called linear density) but with better results when EI he did 'automatically' export.  The only difference now in my PS layer stack, it is that I had duplicate layer flare (and ramp down its opacity to about half) to get the same 'brightness', I had in my AE comp.  I also no longer had the hue-shift reported previously.

  So, in the interest to have a definitive list of the updates warn workflow, we know now there is a problem with the way After Effects converts the layers with the straight-line method in a layer of PS.

  I have several layers of the image (background + people, cars, stuff) and a stack of adjustment on the top layers that apply to all...  When I want to merge all adjustment layers in each individual image layer, I have duplicate currently all (one set for each layer of the image) and cmd + e them to each image layer a layer of setting at a time.  If that makes sense.  I tried to put all the settings in a group and merge the Group down on the image, but the effect is all wrong.  If I could merge the half-dozen various adjustments in a Super fit he'd save me a lot of hassle.

• Changes in adjustment to 8 layers

  It seems to me that using adjustment layers in the version 8 has changed and not for the better.  When you work with an adjustment layer, it was possible to decide if you liked the effect before accepting the adjustment.  A simply clicked 'OK' to apply the setting.

  In version 8, any adjustment that is made is automatically applied to the image.  If one is not satisfied, it is necessary to delete the layer and start again.

  Am wrong me or is there a "work around" that I did not find.

  Yes, I understand your point. On the other hand, it is much handier for people creating lots of adjustment layers, do not have it, so I guess it's six of one, half one dozen of the other. FWIW, this is the same behavior as Photoshop CS4.
