  Hello - I bought my first computer windows 8 today.

  One of the first things I did was to install Mozilla Firefox and Adobe Flash.

  To my horror, when I tried to load a YouTube video, played a second of the video clip, then the standard error of YouTube message.

  I checked that I have properly installed flash player, that my firewall settings are correct, and I have the latest video drivers.

  Flash seems to work on everything else YouTube and Microsoft Help forum (the submit button would work...) it's the same in Firefox and regardless of the version of Internet Explorer, I installed here

• WIRELESS DOESN'T WORK DOES NOT DIRECTLY PORTABLE WIN 7

  Cannot connect by using direct wireless portable Win 7. The printer is Envy 4500. Connection there is no Android device and is fully functional.

  I see that you have direct problems wireless.  I would like to help!

  I would say uninstalling the software of the printer.

  Once it is uninstalled, I suggest you put your system in clean boot mode in the configuration of Microsoft.  You can do this by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.

  Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would suggest to reinstall the HP printer install wizard for Windows.

  With the help of win 7 and firefox 43.0.1, I have 4 computers and now all have problems with yahoo and yahoo mail doesn't work does not correctly. Loading sites, but most of the features are missing and clicking on what whether changes to the lists of text. I have disabled flash / anti-spam etc., cleared cookies and cache and even firefox loaded down once again and have upgraded, no help. I'm forced to use IE now.

  I tried Yahoo support, they said try Firefox... In any case, it's Firefox and I found a solution using the 'Refresh Firefox' button. Whatever the problem was fixed on two of my computers so far. Got to update my setting again but it's 10 m, compared to the 10 hours I spent trying all that is nothing.

• WIFI doesn't work does not correctly after driver update

  I have a DESIRE 4 laptop 1023tu with operating system Windows 8 PRO. My WIFI works does not properly after the update drievr.

  Problems...

  1. When you try to connect to a wifi hotspot the quick adapter turns off and allows the card instantly

  2. after connected, sometimes no internet access and the problem turns off only after reconnecting to the netwrok after setting off.

  If the update doesn't work not for you then do as I explained in my previous post and roll back to the previous driver. This philosophy can be applied to all updates.

  If there is no pressure or emerging reason to update to your PC or laptop works just great... do not update. (this is especially true when it comes to an update of the BIOS)

  For your question #2, the problem could be your wireless (modem, router or access point) which causes the connection dropped.

• Update KB976902 now the mouse doesn't work does not correctly

  I had the KB976902 recently updated on 2 of the 3 computers and 2 who got now have a mouse that does not correctly.  The computer number 3 does not have the update and still works fine.  All three are almost identical hardware and software and have legitimate versions of windows 7.

  The problem of the mouse made play almost almost impossible. Left click crashes, lag mouse click one or two times when I I try to do a restore from the left eventually drag a shortcut of the thing, I clicked on and don't know how or why.

  I did a restore on a single computer, but it did not help.

  Norton and McAfee applications are notorious for not to uninstall (or upgraded) themselves. Since you are not sure, I'll have to have executed two removal on all of the computers in question tools.

  NB: If a step said to reboot, reboot!

  1. download the Norton Removal Tool, save it to your desktop: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

  1B. download the tool McAfee Consumer Product Removal, save it to your desktop: http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe

  2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

  3. right click on the file saved in # 1 above and select run as administrator to run the utility. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.

  4 reset the IE8 advanced settings by http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Reset-Internet-Explorer-settings

  6. restart a last time & test.

  Thanks for the photo. It seems there may be a problem with the hardware with the backlit keyboard. You can try performing a (Windows 8) HP system recovery to factory settings to see if this fixes the problem.

  Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers community forum.

  In Internet Explorer 8, the Auto complete option is in a new tab.  Go to tools, Internet Options and then click the content tab.  You will see a section that says "Auto-Complete".  Click on the 'Settings' button and it gives you several choices of auto complete options.

  This should solve your problem.  Let us know if you need more information.

• CD burner doesn't work does not correctly

  I get an error message when you try to burn a CD.  The status will get to 99% then ejects the CD and the following error message appears: Windows Media Player has encountered an error when burning. Check that the burner is connected properly and that the disc is clean and not damaged.

  Help, please!  It's a brand new computer, so it's VERY frustrating!

    • The CD or DVD drive is faced with a problem which does not work properly
    • The CD or DVD drive is not accessible via a drive letter assigned

  Is there an automatic FixIt for problems with CDs and DVDs do not burn. You can make the changes manually, but this will help more troubleshooting questions.

  I created a pdf with swf file embedded. Set it to AutoPlay.

  Play well in IE9.

  In Firefox and Chrome video appears (first photo) with a 'play' button.

  In firefox, goto tools/options.

  Looking for Portable Document Format (PDF).

  Select it and in the menu select use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox) rather than using Firefox (default)

• Caps lock key doesn't work does not correctly. New computer.

  My shift key does not work correctly. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I push on it is difficult to ensure that it works. But used in a standard keyboard, it is a problem because I don't bang the keys. I have to keep retype phrases due to errors that it creates.

  I have the same problem. the button is enabled as soon as the second or even third. you don't want to, but you have to take it back in service. Maybe it's a factory default.

  I had my HP ENVY 15 t-q100 CTO Notebook PC in September 2014. It has 8.1, 64-bit Windows. For the first few weeks of use, I don't have any problems. Then, I started having occurrences more problems of cursor/touchpad to the point where it happens all the hours of use (not a problem of external mouse):

  Jump around on the screen (a few millimeters in inches).

  Move per increment on its own without me anywhere near the laptop (usually spazzes left).

  Does not allow scrolling functions / normal touchpad when problems are happening.

  Works as if I am holding down the click button while I try to move it - mostly frustrating when I make the important work.

  At random click things that I try to move it.

  Here's what I tried to do to fix this and did not work:

  Roll back the driver (did not work).

  Update driver (no update available).

  Reset the device (works for a minute or two).

  Reboot (I do it everyday anyway).

  Reduce the speed of the cursor and other mouse options offered online.

  I've seen similar problems for the HP Envy 17 and other laptops, but no real solutions have been proposed. Please help me with this problem.

  In January 2015, I received by mail, a brand new Envy 15 t-q100 purchased HP's official website. Packaging and the laptop is here Mint (aesthetically speaking). That being said, I had the exact symptoms described in this thread since the first day. With a replacing synaptics driver, I was able to stabilize the mouse enough to effectively use the tool 'curve of pressure. " Then, I determined that it was in fact a hardware problem. I noticed that from time to time, the "animation" icon would indicate that pressure is applied even if I wasn't touching the laptop. If I applied pressure by pressing or stirring on the basis of the Palm, would stop the pressure indication and use mouse returns to normal. However, this problem gradually went from bad to worse, and finally the touchpad does not have all together. Firmware and BIOS flashing helped before, but has been either nothing change.  I debated on referring to HP for repairs under warranty, but after having to wait a month to get this unit in the first place, in addition to reading all these horror stories of people coming back a semi destroyed unity and always faced with the same symptoms, I was ready to fight against myself. so, I found a source replacement nine track want pads 'zone of control '. Ninety-nine percent sure that I had a defective keypad, I bought P/N "761210-001" to "parts_direct101" for $59.95 ebay seller. Disassembly, I discovered that one of the screw mount for the pad was loose (this may have contributed to the problem). I decided to replace the pad in any case. Finally. No more glitches. After months of experimentation and reading these forums, I have now a mouse working 100%! It's been more than 2 weeks now, since I replaced the touch pad and still no problems! I use my laptop 3-4 hours per day. I always use the synaptics driver installed replacement from "dpinst.exe" found in the x 64 folder downloaded directly on the website of synaptics 'uncompressed'. I have not tried to update with windows update again. Just happy to finally have a mouse to work on this beast of a machine. I'll keep you all posted if this problem will never return. With regard to the absence being automated support generic responses to "Customer Service" aka HP, I guess HP has accidentally put on a bad batch of caterpillars and they simply cannot 'afford' parts, labour and logistics to issue a notice of recall of this magnitude! Unfortunately, this laptop must be completely disassembled to replace the touchpad. I would NOT recommend this fix if you feel that it is beyond your skill level. Instead, call the HP technical support and insist that you have received a unit with a defective keypad. • Ctrl key doesn't work does not correctly

  I have a HP Pavilion 17-e031sa laptop bought only 2 weeks ago running Windows 8.  The CTRL key does not work as it should.  In general, I would like to use it with the left button of the mouse to select non-consecutive items for the copy, but this won't work for this function.  It doesn't seem to be the key itself, because it does not work in the combination of keys ctrl/alt/delete.  I tried to uninstall the keyboard driver and restart, but without success.  Any help would be appreciated.

  Sorry for the confusion, I knew that these keys would not do the function you're looking for. I wanted to know if these shortcuts worked using the CTRL key. So we can see if it works this particular function or all keys ctrl shortcuts work. Quick access keys did what they were supposed to do? For example, the Ctrl + X cut the selected text, or Ctrl-Esc opens the start menu?

  Trying to see if there something wrong with the key itself or is someone wrong with this particular feature you try.

• Creative library cloud doesn't work does not (and assistance section probably points to the wrong folder address?)

  Good, then... I am excited by the possibilities of CC.  I want to get stuck in.  But I'm a little frustrated by that.

  The CC library does not work.  Muse, my CC library panel is empty except for the error message "something went wrong initialization library creative cloud", with a link "more information."  FYI, I saved the (pigeon) web design adapted in Adobe Muse | Muse CC tutorials Adobe files to my CC library and can see them when I go straight TO (my CC staff) my property.  They are there. I can see them.  But they are not load into the Muse CC library folder.

  So, I followed the 'Further information' link in the Panel of the box CC library what , helpfully, opens to work around the problem step by step. Article of the workaround is easy to follow.

  In summary;

  I closed all applications Adobe (Muse) and rebooted.

  I deselected "Hide extensions of known file types", via the control/appearance Panel and customization. (Yes... IM in a Windows laptop... don't hate me)

  I then follow the " AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Creative Cloud Libraries\LIBS\ 'directions to search for crime' ".

  Settings.JSON 'file, in order to establish the number SERVICE_PORT.  But the .json file is not there.  In the file CreativeCloudLibraries there are 3 subfolders; LIBS, MUSE and PHXS.

  Here, it 's a settings.json file in the PHXS folder, and there is a file settings.json in the folder of the MUSE, too. It has a third file settings.json in the folder "adobe photoshop cc 2015.2/required/plug-ins/spaces" as well.  But nothing in the LIBS folder.  (I searched SERVICE_PORT in all 3 of the above, PHXS, MUSE and photoshop, but the SERVICES_PORT info is not there... only a port number of debugging for the photoshop .json file... I tried anyway... obviously he wasn't going to work, but I gave it a try!).

  I can only assume two things;

  either, 1) .json to the CC LIB file has not been loaded for some reason any during the download.

  or 2) since article workaround " Solution to the issue: Adobe Creative Cloud Library Panel does not load in office products " was written, the destination of the file was placed during updates and article is now obsolete.

  Does anyone know how I can get around this please?

  Be warned, I had followed this (to the letter) several times absolutely without success for a whole day! Yet, today, did exactly what I did before... the CC library is now up & running.

  Go figure?  Everything I know and care about is that it works now.
