• Web videos on two sites do not play

  I tried to watch videos on cbsnews.com and abcnews.com (nbcnews.com has no problem), but have had no success on each site. On cbsnews.com, I get a request to disable Ad-Block; I do, but I always get the request. On abcnews.com, the videos don't load not yet. When I contacted cbsnews.com' technical assistance, they suggested to switch to Chrome. I can see the videos of these two sites with no problems, but I prefer not to have to switch browsers just to watch videos. Someone else has encountered this problem, and if so, what solution did you find. Note: one of the posts I read recommended to download and install a package of Microsoft; I tried half a dozen times, but could not get the package to download.

  The CBS and ABC use Flash. The notification plugin icon on the address bar? If this is not the case, some relevant websites can be blocked by NoScript. If you get the icon and Flash is allowed by you do not get the pre roll ads, the question could be NoScript or HTTPS Everywhere is perhaps not secure items are involved.

  Go to start / Control Panel / Internet Options / Advanced / Multimedia / and check the box to display pictures.  Click OK.  This should solve the problem for all browsers.

  If it isn't already, after return and we will check the other options.

• Why disable Flash Player addon allow videos work on one site but not another?

  I am running Firefox 37.02, Windows 7. I also have flash shockwave V17.0.0.134 & V18.0.0.95 addons. The V18 version is beta and downloaded from Adobe to try to resolve this ongoing problem. He has not solved it. By trial and error, I have established that when I disable the addons above mentioned (notice, disabling seems to disable the other) I am able to get videos from Web site to play (for example: video on golfchannel.com) but not another (example: www.nbcphiladelphia.com). Conversely, if the addons are enabled, the videos on the site www.nbcphiladelphia.com work but those of the golfchannel.com are not. By 'not' I mean that commercial video games earlier but the video of the main object that is to run thereafter is not. I get a black screen and the commercial video recycled again and again. I contacted the golfchannel.com support group who said that they were not aware of all the problems. They suggested that I use the Chrome browser, which is what they use without problem.

• What is happening on site video download helper, validations do not appear?

It turns out that the said forum page last published on the Web site has been July 7, this year. This is patently false. Then I made a post answering my second post, to say that the site says no published offers, and a direct link still works. Something may be wrong with the forum software? This announcement was immediately placed under moderation. (The bug I have is vdlh 499 doesn't work with youtube today, and he did it yesterday. Firefox 14.01, Win XP Prof)

  After a few changes of YouTube on 14 September, Video DownloadHelper was not able to download videos from this site, except the WEBM version using the YouTube HTML5 mode. This problem is corrected in this version of the addon.

  After a few developments of YouTube on August 6, a number of users reported that all downloads did not exist. This was due to a a cookie generated by Youtube. Consistent workaround by disabling cookies before you download was not very convenient. This version of the addon takes care of this issue.

  Earlier this year, other YouTube changes caused the FLV videos downloaded through the method of 'network' to have a fixed size of 1.7 MB and to be unplayable. This is now supported.

  If you do not want to be interrupted when you save the video on your iPad, try to activate do not disturb.

  It seems that some of your plugins (Shockwave Flash 10.1 r102) might be buggy or obsolete. To check for updates, please visit the plugincheck page. If this does not resolve the problem, try to start Firefox with the disabled modules and see if it helps at all. If so, delete the Shockwave Flash plugin and maybe reinstall or uninstall Firefox and do a new clean install.

  You can change the image poster of clips in the icon view. By default, the first image of a clip appears in the thumbnail viewer and in other places in the Bill where the thumbnail is displayed. You can override the default thumbnail by designating any clip image as a poster frame.

  To set a poster frame for the icon, drag the playback slider or shuttle to the desired image and press the keys command + P (Mac OS) or SHIFT + p (Windows).
