• NY Times videos have stopped playing

  The NY Times headlines daily e-mail still has several links to videos. They used to play automatically when selected. but for the last two weeks they have not. I only have the video image of time, but the area where the video should play just remains black.
  I have no problem videos see on YouTube, Facebook, etc. I also see videos of times when I link to them in Internet Explorer. but they will not play in Firefox.
  As much as I know my Flash, Java, etc are all to date.

  I am an avid Firefox user since about 2008, but my main browser on this laptop I've had for about 18 months.

• My PAUSE/PLAY button no longer works.

  I'm a little obsessed to keep my rocket (v 2) clean, even if I have a case of crystal clear for this - but leaves the click wheel - so I wipe two or more times a week with Clorox and rubbing alcohol.  I think I might have overdone it because my PAUSE/PLAY button no longer works.  This means that I can listen to music when the player is turned on, but I can't put pause a song.  If I want to stop a song, I have to turn off the player by using the side buttons.  When I turn it on, it plays right where the song was off, but it's kind of annoying.  Is it possible to fix my PLAY/PAUSE button, or took my ways germaphobic with me?

  You do not have. Just manually, re - install the firmware as suggested. You can get the latest version here. It won't replace what is on the player.

  Seems that you have already set up and left for the ' play' button in the class that you are using, but somehow, I'm not able to understand this.

  I tried to define:

  left: 450px! important;

  top: 150px! important;

  In the class = "vjs-large-button play, so that it overrides the previous value, and the button comes in the middle of the video image.»

  

  You will need to set the top and left side so that the button must be placed in the middle.

  Hello.

  This new bit and searched the forums adobe and google. I am trying to create a button that will play an any MovieClip.

  I have a clip that I imported into its own layer of rebar (layer1) 1.  I gave the MovieClip an instance name of foundationMovie.

  I created a button and that on its own layer (Layer2) above layer1, is also in the picture 1.

  I added a

  The video is not set to AutoPlay.

  I want the video to start playing when the viewer clicks the button.  I know I have to put some sort of event using AS3 listener in my calendar somewhere.

  If you use the FLVPlayback instance it should be on your scene, or you should have the code added to the scene. If you use the FLVPlayback instance, you don't need to import the video file, you have to have the component dynamically load by assigning the file to its source property.

  That said, the code that I showed earlier would continue to operate if the component FLVPlayback instance name of the instance 'foundationMovie '.  It's because the component has a play() and stop() supporting method.  What you need to do probably, is looking for the FLVPlayback class in the help documentation of Flash to see all that is avialable for her regarding the properties, methods and events.  You will probably find there examples as well to help you configure things.

• From 04/01/14, Instagram videos no longer play in my Firefox. They work fine in Safari and Chrome, but not ff.

  I have problems playing videos Instagram in Firefox before 04/01/14. I've updated all my plug ins, turned off AdBlock, but nothing does.

  Firefox does not make to forget this process of Site, and I had to force quit. I tried 3 times, and then I went in the cookies and remove all the cookies just instagram. Once I did, I could see the videos again in Firefox. I never really thought that something as simple as this clear up the question.

  I was able to get your file open this time and it seems that you missed my first direction... "Give the button an instance (via the properties panel)... etc...".  The major part of this is the "via the properties panel"... it tends to be the more recurrent error for new people and sometimes for long time former fighters as well.

  The name you assign to the object in the library is not the name of the instance, it is simply the name of the symbol in the library - the library name is simply to tell you what are the components.  You need to select the element on the stage, go to the properties panel, and enter the name of the instance in the little box that says the name of the Instance.

  Instance names are assigned to the objects which you place on the stage so that you can individually control with code - allowing you to place many of the exact same symbols of button/movieclip on the stage for different purposes.

  For the current state of your design, you can return to your original image design, you also need to add a stop(); in box 2.
