HP Envy 4502: printer connection on my laptop wireless problem

I installed the software on the disc that came with my new HP Envy 4502 printer on my HP laptop. He says that the software is installed correctly, but the printer is not connected wireless. Have you tried connecting via the usb cable and it worked. However, whenever I try to connect wirelessly, it fails to connect.

I tried troubleshooting tips sevral time but still have no luck.

My husband was able to insert the disc into his Dell laptop and connect the printer even wireless with no problems at all. This laptop is Windows 7 Professional.

I'm getting more and more frustrated by the present, thank you I am a novice where computers re concerned, but that he thought that by purchasing an hp printer to go with my computer hp laptop, things would be easy.

Help, please

  • HP envy 4502 not connect to the printer

Hello, I bought the HP envy 4502 for College this fall semester. My apartment complex has free WiFi and lets my computer and laptop to separately connect to free wifi. I have first installed my printer that I was instructed to do. Then, when I download the installer on my computer it downloads perfectly. However when I move 'install' on my computer my printer is not found. I went to Wal-Mart, thinking that if I bought a USB cable, it would solve my problem. I plugged in the computer and the printer with the USB and printer 'ENVY 4500 series' has been designated now connected via USB. Now, the next step was to configure the device. My printer is not set to join the wireless network. "The device is not accessible. My Hp product registration was a success, however, I forgot to add my HP printer connected account. I looked on other forums, and because I live in an apartment the IPS are slightly different because the wifi is used throughout the complex. When I manually setup wifi with the same ip addresses, connectivity still does not. I really need your help. I paid a lot of money for this printer wireless and school starts soon. I need this printer! I downloaded the latest driver. I have Mac OS X 10.8.5. Also is it possible to use my printer as a wired printer wireless with my USB cable?

    Hello

I haven't used a MAC in 10 years so I can't help you with MAC issues.  Your PC has a USB 2 port, so you should be able to connect the MAC to the printer using the USB 2 cable.  Follow these instructions.  There seems to be a lot of warnings I have gottcha.

  • Wireless printer connects to the laptop, even though she has worked in the past.

My printer HP Officejet 6700 Premium connects to my laptop HP Pavilion 15, although he has worked in the past. Other computers around the House connect to the printer and print documents without any problems. When I go to print from Microsoft Word, it says my printer as offline.

I tried to remove the printer from my devices and printers list (so that I could try to reconnect the printer), but he is not leaving the list after clicking "remove hardware".

Could someone help me please you troubleshooting? I really need to be able to resume printing my documents for the school.

    Thank you!

    Hi @OfTheFalls

I'd love to help you reconnect your 6700 printer and computer.

I suggest using the HP print and Scan doctor first of all, it can solve many printing and scanning errors, network or USB problems, driver problems and conflicts of port connection. Click here to download and run the print and Scan Doctor >www.hp.com/go/tools

If this does not resolve the problem, after back and let me know if there are all the symbols except the Green checkmarks and what they are next of course. The key is not always easy to identify the key and check mart are in the green circle.

    • If you see only the Green checkmarks ( ), the tool did not find any problem.
  • Want 4502: Printer don't work on wireless or scan via USB

Previously I had no problem printing or scanning from my Toshiba laptop wireless. All of a sudden it will not see my printer via the wireless network. I checked the network on the printer according to the troubleshooting of HP and he says that it is in working order... it can recognize the network and gives an OK. When I plug in a usb cable in I can print. I can't scan, even with usb in.  Any help gratefully received.

    Hello

If the status is not connected or if the printer's IP address is 169.254.xxx.xxx, then the printer is not connected to the wireless network.

I understand your printer is now connected to the wireless network, so try run the printer software installation & on Windows 8 to convert the USB wireless connection again.

Just for you information, you can also scan wireless by using the Web server embedded HP.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi @JACE1,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that your HP Deskjet 2540 guard wrong wireless network connection. I'm happy to look into this problem of connectivity for you!

On the wireless test report, must be an IP address from the printer. Try putting the IP address in a web browser, such as: Safari or Firefox, etc. You should see a built-in Web server. Find the network tab and then select it. Then, look for the wireless configuration wizard option. (This should be able to search for the network wireless appropriate for you).

See page 55 of the User Guidefor more details your printer.

Hope this solves your problem and have a nice day!

  • Wired laptop but unable to connect to the laptop wireless wireless PC can connect cable PC OK

I have a wired network on whiich, I connected a WAP54G access point for my laptop wireless to children. They are never anything other that connect to the internet, so I never noticed this before. Now, I bought my own laptop and that you want to connect from my main computer but the laptop is not visible on the network. I then connected directly on the laptop to the network wired through an ethernet cable, and it was visible from the wired PC as you would expect. Back fi he returned invisible.

Does anyone have ideas, what could cause this behavior?

    Thanks for all your comments

Presumably using your XP or Vista!

You need to change network settings into the laptop to allow remote connections according to the directives of the wired connection.

You will also need to make changes to the false firewall XP/Vista has as well.

FYI: The WAP54G has no way to filter all network traffic, so the question is not to the AP.

  • HP Envy 4500: Printer connected to the network; laptop computer connected to the network; laptop cannot find the printer!

I searched through the forums and read a few threads about similar questions, but do not yet have a solution to my problem.  The printer is connected to the network (even printed page "Congratulations, you're connected" with all the relevant information).  It is on the same network as my laptop.  However, when I run the exe to install on my laptop, it does not find the printer, even when I put the IP address the printer gave me on the congratulations page!  I have run Avast Free Antivirus 2015 on my machine, but don't see any particularly troubling parameters which could interfere.

Any thoughts on how I can get the laptop to see the printer?

    Henchman21,

Thank you for the information you have provided to us. I will be you initial steps that could solve the problem.

    Solution

    1. do you have the HP Envy 4500 connected to your computer via the usb cable

    2. If you have installed the correct software for your HP Envy 4500 and the drivers on your computer, you will need to run

    * Note: If the software and drivers for the HP Envy 4500 does not work or does not work the .exe, you must uninstall it in add it and remove programs.

2 1a, you should download the drivers and software for the HP Envy 4500 on-site HP click on this link.

2 2 b If you have correctly downloaded it you must connect the HP Envy 4500 device to the computer via a usb cable and launch the installation. Usb printers will be automatically detected by your computer. Installation of HP Assistant there will be a point he will ask you if you want to configure the computer for wireless connectivity, it's time that all wireless information stored on your computer will be transferred to the HP Envy 4500. If this does not work! and I know that it will not...

    3. you should check if you have administrative rights on the computer.

I hope that the solution I provided will work for you.

Let me know if the steps above don't work for you

    Thank you

  • Envy 17: printing from my new laptop

I just bought a new HP Envy laptop.  I try to use my 'old' HP printer (HP LaserJet MFP of 1536dnf).  I have connected the printer to the laptop by inserting the USB cable connecting the printer in one of the USB ports on the laptop.  When I try to have the laptop "add a printer", the message I get is "no printer found."  What I am doing wrong?

    wccrsr

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

The problem is that by default HP print drivers installed by the upgrade of Win10 often do not work. I have two HP printers and neither one worked after the Win10 upgrade. We also receive a lot of messages of other people with the same problems.

I linked the page drivers and software for the Win10 drivers for your printer: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-LaserJet-Pro-M1536-Multifunction-Printer-series/3974271/model/3974278

You must download and install the full feature software and drivers for the printer.

Remove all the drivers and software that Microsoft install for the printer.

Then unplug the printer and install the software.

Do reconnect the printer until the installation program invited to do so.

Once the installation is complete, restart.

You should then be able to use your printer in Win10.

    Good luck

  • HP Envy 4500: Printer connected to the router, but will not print wireless Macbook

I want my wireless printer to work on my macbook, but I can't. I tried setting up on the HP utility to connect with the router as the mac and printer on but it does not work! It indicates that the download was successful, but the device was not reachable. I don't really know where to go from here and any help would be really appreciated. Thank you.

    Hey @miriamnimmo,

Welcome to the Forums of HP, I would be happy to help you! I understand that you have the printer set up on your network, but the software says that the device is not accessible. Sometimes the IPv6 may interfere with the connection, and I suggest we disable that before anything else. On the fornt of the printer Panel, scroll down to and then select Wireless. In the wireless Menu, select Advanced settings, then IPv6 and.

Now we are going to let the router and unplug the power cable (NOTE: do not reset the router), then do the same with the printer and shut down the computer. After a minute, plug in the router, wait to fully turn on, then plug the printer back in and wait for the wireless light become solid. Once the router and the printer are on, go ahead and re - turn on the computer. This will refresh the network connection.

Please let me know if this solves the problem by marking your post as solved (click on Accept as Solution button below). If the problem persists, let me know, I'll watch for your reply.

    See you soon!

  • HP Envy 4502: HP Envy 4502 printing without margins

    Hello

I bought the printer as shown above and tried to print photos of holiday taken on a Samsung S6 camera. Photos were taken on the full 16MP/16: 9 setting and I had trouble trying to print pictures on sheets Office Depot 4 x 6 for inkjet. There are uneven borders that I can see even with the frame and would like to know if there is a way to implement the pictures without a border with this printer. He mentions that this printer can take pictures without border until 8x11.5 or something close to that. I have even converted photos 4 x 6 on my laptop using the native application of picture Windows and a slew of HP applications. Thank you.

When you installed the driver base file 4500 Series driver has been installed.

If you can change the driver in your current installation or simply add the printer manually and choose the driver without the word inside class.

  • Canon printer connects to the laptop

I am trying to print and I get an error message 'the printer is unresponsive. I went through the printer and it is connected to my network. I followed the advice of the site Web of Cannon and he eventually tell me that there is a firewall issue that will not allow my printer and my computer to connect. I've updated all the downloads for my printer. How to bypass the firewall to allow my computer and printer communicate?

    Hello

If this isn't a driver problem there is a problem of setting or material and you
need to contact Canon. More information about the settings of firewall in the last section
below if this can actually be a driver problem.

As Canon OEM is responsible for the good operation of the printer and their
drivers provided. Check with Canon support, online documentation, and
    drivers.

Good luck, you need to update or reinstall the latest driver.
