View Dell's Intelligent turn off on Inspiron 3137

Hello! I have a problem that I can't solve even after reading the related topics section.

When I uncheck 'enable Dell smart display', the smart display turns off.  However, every time I restart or put the computer in mode 'sleep' feature active himself back.

I have Dell Inspiron 3137 with a new installation of Windows 8.1, new Dell Quickset, drivers and the most recent BIOS.

I did a workaround solution, here is a link

  • Keyboard Dell place 11 turns off the shelf?

Hello, I had some problems with the keyboard travel with built-in battery, that I bought for my Dell place 11. I noticed that when I connect it to my tablet, it will stop just my Tablet and I will lose everything I was working on. I also noticed that when the keyboard is connected, it will be to randomly in the middle of me using my Tablet close.

is it just a faulty keyboard or is it a problem that I can fix it? Help would be greatly appreciated.

    kcwilsonii

It was the keyboard docking station in my case

The pins seem to all be at the same altitude and if the connection of mooring to the keyboard is not enough tightened, then the Tablet shorts on. I went through 2 replacement keyboards (like backup battery) until I got one that worked.

They need to make these keyboards with pins together at the same altitude to avoid the problem and should run on the tightening of the connection of mooring as it also seems a little on the loose side

The pins of must not all be the same height - this is normal.

  • Computer Dell laptop XPS L421x turns off randomly

My battery is fully charged, the laptop rather new stops just at random.  I don't receive any message until the computer turns off.  When I turn on the back, he asks if I boot safe mode or start the computer normally. (still no error message)

I did not bring any changes on the computer, I mainly use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet Explorer.

Any ideas?  I think it's because an update has not been successful, but if so, don't know how check/repair.

    Hello, Bernadette.

  • Turn off the tap to click on Dell Inspiron 1525 with Windows Vista

Can someone tell me how to disable "tap to click" on the touchpad of my laptop?

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525, running Windows Vista.  It's the standard touchpad I mind, it has not been upgraded.

Other forums have suggested to go to the control panel > hardware and sound > mouse, but once I'm there, I only "buttons," "Pointers," "Pointer Options" and "hardware".  There is no option to disable "Tap to click" referred to one of them.

I've updated all the drivers - Windows tells me I have the latest version, if this doesn't fix the problem.

My hands are too big to type without hitting the touchpad!  So frustrating.  I accidentally moved my slider three times during the composition of this post.  Someone help me please!  That's four times now.

    I thought about it!

Under computer > C: > drivers > entry > R176423, I ran DPInst.  He installed the Dell Touchpad option in my taskbar to bottom left.  After the reboot, I was able to open a more in-depth version of my touchpad, where I could uncheck "Tap to click".  _ Yes!

Thanks for all your help, man.  I really appreciate it.  It's really a positive manifestation of the human condition when the volunteers their expertise selflessly to help others.  Keep up the good work, and I hope that this thread will stay up to help someone else in the future.

  • I have a DELL Inspiron 6400 running Windows Vista. The backlight turns off.

I have a DELL Inspiron 6400 running Windows Vista. The backlight turns off when the charger is plugged after about 10 to 15 minutes. If I shine a torch on the screen, I see about the display is always. If I select change user from the menu start or stop / restart the machine, the backlight turns on and will last for another 10 to 15 minutes. I tried in safe mode and the same thing happens. Can someone help me with this problem?

It could be the inverter Board or the backlight itself on the way to the outside. Whatever it is, it is definitely a hardware problem and it will take a good repairman to fix. You can contact Dell and see what they would charge to fix this, just to see if it would be more cost-effective to buy a new laptop or have it repaired. Because it is 5 years since it is manufacturing, you can be better to save your pennies for a new :-(

My touch pad is so sensative, sometimes I touch again and she mobilizes. I VERY rarely use it. I don't want to turn it off completely, I just turn it off. My last laptop is an HP and it had a button to push at the top to turn on and off, but this one isn't. If someone could tell me how turn off when I don't want to use it and turn it back on when I please? Or should I contact Dell and ask them?

  • Inspiron 9300 screen turns off after the Windows Logo screen

Inspiron 9300 my wife became severely infected.  I thought I had some weird things start popping up of the problem decided to wipe the hard drive and start over.  Unfortunately, I don't have to restore disks when I bought the computer.  I install windows xp pro service pack 2 full retail version.

Installation was not a problem until I installed the driver ATI Mobility x 300.  I followed directions for installation from the website, do the installation of xp followed of the dell system software update followed of chipset followed video driver.  After that whenever I put on, the screen turns off after the Windows Logo.  The computer is still running and if I plug an external monitor everythng is fine.

I tried all the troubleshooting tips I've seen in this forum.  I did a full install twice. made of safety boots (all right), started in VGA mode (works fine), I ran diagnostics from fn on startup, including express, extended and video tests and they pass all the controls.  I'm sure it's a software problem, but have been unable to solve.  I've updated the ATI bios although when I run it says already installed and done one installs x 300 driver on 6 ttimes own.

I know it must be something simple that I'm missing. My system is the Inspiron 9300 with 2 GB of ram and the mobility x 300 card.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hi guptashubham123,.

There is no option to turn off the subwoofer in XPS system.

You can modify the equalizer settings audio application in the system tray.

Here are the steps on how to change the audio settings.

1: on Windows 7 systems, click Start --> Audio Dell--> Dell Audio in Windows 8 systems, type Dell Audio from the splash screen and select Audio Dell utility.
Reference Dell Audio from Realtek utility is launched.

2: you can change the settings you want in the different tabs on the utility.
