VirtualBench

Hello. I just got the Virtualbench and it has not evaluated with labview 2014.

For my system, when it is to the current around 6uA, sleep. On the asset, it attracts around 12mA. A multimeter using normal, it could be measured

Download the standard VI DMM of OR to test the feature.

Connect the virtual bench on the terminals of 100mA, because the measured current is lower than 12mA.

When the system is in standby mode, the VI reads consumption at rest as according

However, when the system turns on, it keeps displaying NAN and also the error message on over-range

Had attempted to remove the constant TRUE of the measuring range to configure DMM (VI) and feedingstuffs in digital constant 0.01, 0.1, he just posted the same question. Was even trying to feed constantly from 1 to 10 just to check the effect but it post the same question.

Grateful if you can give some insights on why is it so

concerning

Welcome to the forums and the platform NOR :-) How did you VirtualBench, LabVIEW and these forums?

Let me answer your questions.

The high nominal current value has to seems to be the lock at all about 700nA (negative values) that i do not understand why.

This could be the noise in the environment since the terminals of the DMM are not shielded for noise. VirtualBench application has an offset function offset zero in the menu of the corner which allows the instrument noise.

  • iPad to Virtualbench wireless connectivity problems

I just got my Virtualbench today and tried to connect it to my iPad after installing the WiFi antenna, and configure it to work on my home network. The iPad app 'sees' the VB on the network but, when the device is selected, fails to connect (it remains in a State of "connection" indefinitely, I left this past for about fifteen minutes without successful connection).

The firmware is up to date and my laptop connects to it via the USB port very well. It also connects to my wireless laptop.

My iPad is iPad Mini 3. Someone has seen this issue, has something to do with the iPad app?

I saw a few times, and my best guess is that the iPad WiFi service gets stuck requesting an IP address from the router to the network.

Looks like you are using infrastructure mode (where your VirtualBench is connected to your existing wireless network, and the wireless led on the device is blue). is that correct? What happens if change you the mode and use VirtualBench as a point of access (with a light orange, WiFi)? What version of iOS is only your Tablet?

  • Freeze Windows 7 with VirtualBench

I am running Windows 7 in a Virtualbox (Oracle), Linux. (Ubuntu).

We use in the Enterprise edition of Windows 7 Enterprise.

Installed Virtualbench - edition offline application.

After activating the VirtualBox than the Virtualbench NOR is USB devices connected, the application works. It shows the signal from noise or oscilloscope, multimeter voltage test.

As long as I do not support any menu or another function with the mouse, he continues to work.

Clicked on and 5 seconds later, Windows 7 has been "DEAD". He wasn't dead 100%, the mouse still moves. But any action, either by a mousclick or by pressing 'Alt'-'Tab' had no effect. By pulling the cable USB not working anymore.

Interesting was that in the Gnome System Monitor, 1 CPU (on my 4), ran also use at 100%. Seems he was the virtualbox loading the CPU.

I didn't spend a lot more time to study, because it is quite laborious to repower the machine.

What can be done to fix this?

    There are two options:

    1. Try to use WiFi instead of USB.
To configure WiFi settings, you can either use VirtualBench or MAX. Because the application VirtualBench is in your virtual machine, you can either try to use MAX or use a native Windows operating system and application VirtualBench.

    2. Use a native Windows operating system.
USB support for products NOR on the VMS is very dependent on the device OR the host operating system and virtual machine software. Each combination gives different results, while network devices are more reliable.

Products OR are supported on Virtual Machines (VMS)?

Hello. There is a problem need advice.

The PC had been link with some Virtuabench, and it remember its device name even if it had not been connetced. This causes the tech lab get confused and often choose the wrong device. Somethimes the Virtualbench had already been hook upward with testing circult. This will result to return the Virtualbench to verify nom_peripherique is not possible.

Is there a way to remove the unwanted peripheral VirtualBench in the list?

A few months ago, I submitted a draft with a VirtualBench LabVIEW. Now, I want to come back and work on the project but I have no VB and can't seem to understand how to simulate it in MAX?

We don't have simulation load max or API. The only "simulation" that is present is the Demo Mode in the VirtualBench application.

We just released version 1.1 of VirtualBench that adds a C API and a bunch of other features, see http://forums.ni.com/t5/VirtualBench/Announcing-free-firmware-update-version-1-1-adds-SPI-and-I2C/td....  With whom you could use VirtualBench in your programming language of choice if you write the appropriate links.

  • Question about exporting data from Virtualbench.

    Hello

I am new to the forums and VirtualBench and hoped that someone might be able to help.

I don't understand what means min/max. I have not any spread. VirtualBench takes in fact several samples at each point?

    Thank you.

In some places, VirtualBench application will automatically the peak of detection equipment.

Peak - detect mode, over-samples scope and returns the minutes and the maximum voltage in each period the sample.

You can manually control the sample mode by going to the settings of acquisition:

    (see attached vi)

First, I congratulate your caving to make it work.  However, it is an internal entry point which may not continue to work in the future.

That being said, the recommended approach is to use the API of the System Configuration.  There is an example of navigation called "Show all hardware" which is what you want.  It will return the 'Alias' for all devices OR on the system.  This is the name that can be used with the VirtualBench API to communicate with the device.  If you want to limit the returned simply devices specify "virtualbench' as the 'Experts' of entry to find Hardware.vi

  • Measuring frequency VirtualBench with LabView

    Hey guys,.

I recently acquired a VirtualBench for testing through LabView. The test installation I want to do is very basic. Use a DC power supply to power a crystal as a device and the oscilloscope to measure the frequency of the device.

By using the software application OR virtual bench, I had the installation works perfectly in less than 5 minutes.

However, when I move the setting in Labview I don't know the correct VI so that I can output the frequency measured as an indicator of the façade.

I installed the drivers for the virtual bench and can set the output to DC and retrieve a graph of the frequency, but like I said, I can't find a single VI included in the package that will give me the frequency as a measure as the application software OR virtual bench.

I'm missing this VI right in front of me, or the VI for measuring frequency has not been created yet?

I enclose two photographs. One is the application virtual bench doing exactly what I want. The second photo is of the VI more close than I thought to take care of my needs (read the OSM aka paid), but as you can see the only way out is an analog output, no measure included frequency.

    Thanks for any help!

    Best,
    Andy

There is a dial tone measures Express VI.  Or you can extract a single signal.

There are also many FFT analysis or spectrum of VI.

  • LabVIEW executable with my VirtualBench

    Hello

    32-bit Teststand 2014

    32-bit Labview 2015.

    VirtualBench model NI VB-8012

I created a Labview VI using the screws of VirtualBench. This VI takes a measure of voltage with the DMM.

I created a file of sequence in Teststand. This file of sequence called the VI as the limit of Test to verify if the measure is included.

I created a Labview graphical user interface, which calls the sequence file.

I'm able to run my VI, sequence and GUI. It all works and I am able to make my measurement of the tension of the VirtualBench.

Now, I want to make an executable for the end user. I have trouble with the VirtualBench during an executable. I created a project in labview and my GUI with the llb GUI has been added to the project. I built my executable and tried to run. The tracks of MISTLETOE, however, once I click on start to run my sequence file, I am prompted with an error (see attachment). The VI VirtualBench works normally, but not as an executable... Please help.

    Thank you

After working with the support OR an answer has been found.

I finished my executable running in debug mode. While the code worked, I was able to get an ERR(-17600) to my attached error message error code. They gave me the link below to try to solve my problem and it worked.

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/9C9EE3A6F7695AB9862578F0006CBF0E

    Solution:
Follow these steps to correct the error-17600 (sometimes the error-18002)

    1. Once you have generated your personalized user interface, TestExec.exe, open the project file in the LabVIEW Project Explorer and right click on the .exe file.
    2. Click Properties in the context window that appears.
    3. Click on the category of settings of the Source file on the left.
    4. Click any screws that you have added to the original project (under project at downtown records) and check the box to Rename this file during the generation and the beginning of the text add "UI_".
    5. Under project files, and then click the option of dependencies .
    6. Check the box to apply the prefix for all content items and add "UI_" in the text box.
    7. Build the project.

Thank you all for your time and help

  • Get: error in device: device not authentic when you launch the app VirtualBench

When I start the application virtual bench (10 x 64 Windows) I say device error dialog: "device error: device is not authentic" and am no longer able to connect to the device. At one point, I was able to connect to the device via the USB port and also via wifi. I have rebooted the machine, pedaled power, uninstalled the drivers, reinstalled the software virtual bench with no luck. Any advice?

    After an attempt:

-Reset the device via the button on the back of the device of virtual bench

    -remove the installed drivers

    -resettlement of bench virtual application

    -another machine

    -connection via the access point

    -USB connection

    -try a different USB port

Still not had luck. Until finally, I decided to unplug the power on the virtual bench cable and plug it back. Looks like it's a pure reset of some sort. Now, I can connect successfully to the device

  • Arbitrary waveforms with LVM file

Before, to import a file of arbitrary waveforms to VirtualBench environment was carried out thanks to an option in the toolbar of the menu drop down and the Import Wizard allows import of files LVM. Since a more recent firmware update, it is now accomplished in the Panel containing the options for the function generator, but forced the wizard to import the files .txt and .csv only. Has anyone found how to load an arbitrary waveform as file LVM in the most recent update of the firmware?

    Jesse wrote:

Before this function arbitrary waveforms, it was possible to load a file of .lvm for a waveform on the channel (1 or 2) and display it in the GUI of VirtualBench.

You can load a waveform in the ASM or another instrument in the VirtualBench GUI?

The only similar device that has VirtualBench is a waveform of reference for the scope, which was also added in 15.2. The post office announced that I linked above has a video showing this feature as well.

You have screenshots of previous undergraduate design projects? I still think that we are badly understand each other.
