  Do yourself a favor and remove the application.  Mac do not need AV applications and at best, they will be not hard (but not good either) and at worst will corrupt your system / OSX's built in protection.  Your concerns are malicious software that requires the cooperation of the user to install, not the virus.

  If your device doesn't support hardware timing, you can not change it in MAX and LabVIEW SignalExpress. If you have actually tried it in LabVIEW SignalExpress, you will get an error.

  There is no way to update outputs in LabVIEW code and monitor these changes in the Automation Explorer.  It's no different than using real hardware.  The main goal to add the virtual hardware is so you can test your code without errors.  If you need monitor values that you export, there are tools for debugging embedded LabVIEW - the faster would be to simply add a probe where you write a value to the device.  If the writing DAQmx VI does not report errors, you can assume that the actual hardware correctly displays the value you requested.

  As for the screen that you see in Explorer automation, it is normal for USB devices.  All the buttons at the top of the screen can still be used (Self-Test, Test panels, Reset Device, etc.) and you can always get to the other pages of this device with the different tabs at the bottom of the page.  Since it's just a simulated output device, you probably won't find much useful in Automation Explorer.  The real advantage of a simulated device is just for running and debugging code in LabVIEW.

• Cannot simulate devices in MAX

  Hi all

  By train to try to simulate the card PCI-6503 using MAX and when I expand the tree 'Devices and Interfaces', I don't see any options to create any simulated device. I installed the software is:

  (1) DAQmx 9.9

  (2) MAX 5.6

  (3) Labview 2012 Evaluation Version - I used to have the full version, but just, my license has expired so now it's in trial mode.

  (4) NEITHER VISA 5.2

  I was able to simulate devices in the past without problem and have not changed anything software wise on my computer until the catch-up DAQmx yesterday to see if this is what was causing the problem (apparently it wasn't ) all that I'm missing here?

  Hi Colin,

  When you read back the data, there is a parameter called "Bytes read" you need key, the default value is 1024, in this case, it will keep waiting for 1024 bytes until the timeout occur.

  I found a good article talk to this topic and you can change the bytes to be read in the test environment LabVIEW or MAX.

• Can I simulate the acquisition of a working folder?

  I am using vision builder to perform an inspection, and I'm the images that pass inspection and filtering images that are not and save each in a different folder.  I want that whenver there is a bad image, a copy of the last "good image" is saved in the folder of the image, for example repeat the last good image, what I've done to simulate an acquisition in the folder I save the good images and if the inspection fails to go to a new State where he copies the good image last in the folder of the image does make sense?  Sometimes it seems to work, sometimes it doesn't, the secon simulate acquisition is not up-to-date (I have the option ' cycle thorugh folder ' activated.)   What can I do?

  Another problem I have is for saving images, I need to add a timestamp, it is possible to change this setting and add a number in the name of the file? the image for example picture001, 002, 003 image?

  In Vision Builder 2012 SP1 and earlier versions, the step of the Acquisition to simulate not rescan the folder to which it points.

  However, we have added this feature in Vision Builder AI 2013, which just came out.

  I try to have my student simulate the functioning of the RAM on Multisim 9 but I can't understand how do. I tried the RAM components, but they are all dummy files. I tried to use the components of the registry file and I got the component two ports to load register 0 but I can't load any other registers. What I want to do is to ask students to load the gray code in 16 registers and scroll to show me that they understand how RAM works.

  There is a 2K8RAM that comes with Multisim 9. It is under the Misc Digital and TIL family group. Just give it a try and see if that meets your needs.

  Can how best I simulate a 50% load on the circuit? -My thoughts would be to set up some sort of maximum bandwidth QoS between 2 hosts and push then a large amount of traffic across the link and then average latency statistics ICMP to ping between the same two hosts.

  Without going into too much detail, the remote site is using ASR1001 (DMVPN spoke) with tunnel interfaces ASR1002 worms (DMVPN hub).  3750 x at the access layer.

  3750 x > mm fiber > asr1001 (speak) > 300Mbps circuit > 3750 x > asr1002 (hub) > l ' infrastructure.

  UDP tests with the argument u will give valuable information on the jitter and packet loss. If you do not specify the argument - u, Iperf uses the TCP protocol.
  To keep a good quality link, the packet loss should not go more than 1%. A high packet loss rates will generate a lot of retransmissions of TCP segment that will have an impact on bandwidth.

  The Jig is basically the variation in latency and doesn't depend on the latency. You can have high response times and a very low jitter. The jitter value is especially important on network links supporting voice over IP (VoIP) as a high jitter can interrupt a call.

  You can compare the results of these queries:

  select max(maxquerylen) from dba_hist_undostat;
  
  select max(tuned_undoretention) from dba_hist_undostat;
  

  or, run the following query:

  select maxquerylen, tuned_undoretention from dba_hist_undostat order by maxquerylen asc;
  

  Normally, the tuned_undoretention should be greater than maxquerylen. However, its value is constantly changing, according to statistics on the duration of the query.
