  I have an OfficeJet on Windows 8 8600 and AVG found a virus in the HP software.  He removed, and everything still works fine except for the HP update.  When he tries to run, it has an error message about a 'gap' in the 'library '.

  Is it possible to reinstall the HP update without messing up all my printer, network and IP settings?  It took me a while to do everything works perfectly, and I really don't want to have to do it all over again from scratch.

  Your Satellite Pro is the model of laptop old enough and not supported for Win8.
  It is difficult to find drivers for the notebook not supported models and old.

  Problem is that if you make the decision to do so anyway you are on your own and can be all just lucky if everything works properly.
