virus or worm?

Let me ask as a beginner of Mac Pro.

I doubt that my Mac Pro has a virus or a worm.

The problem came after I saw MacKeeper advertising on the site.

As I was watching the film online at the moment, and I downloaded it at first glance be afraid of the virus,

but later he is some kind of malware.

Then my norton security check started alarm the threat in this computer, but he never finished the search for a solution to this threat.

I tried to close my PC and reboot, then found a slight changes in the logon screen; the color of the character username was black,

and had time to slow connection.

After that, I tried several ways to check the threat again, but this time there was nothing.

Even now, the login screen is not normal. Even if no problem for everyday use, I fear that my Mac has something inside.

If some of you could give me a solution or any ideas, it would be very useful.

Thank you

    Hi Tom,

It is not safe to store important and vital, sensitive information on a Notepad or pages.

You can use the drive encryption BitLocker to protect all files stored on the drive Windows is installed on (operating system drive) and on data drives (for example, internal hard drives). Your can use BitLocker To Go to help protect all files stored on removable data drives (such as external hard drives or USB flash drives).

  • Computer infected with the virus. USB drives no longer appear in Windows Explorer.

    Original title: attack viruses, help...

My friend has a computer that is running windows XP. She asked for help on what to do when several virus has infected his computer.

I tried my best, but the virus has turned off. The Task Manager, msconfig are impossible to perform. the computer had a virus which is the reason why it continues to be infected. The last scan I made from a usb key which has been infected to leave the computer has revealed five different viruses and worms, each of them spread through usb drives. It's the worst case of infection, I had ever seen.  I tried to scan with the scanner but it did not work. The computer crashed, and when I turned it on things have become much worse. USB drives no longer appear in the Explorer, the computer reads no more and the old xp theme has disappeared, his running today on classic. Help me please.

    Please follow the steps below:

On a friend or a member of the family computer, download the files installation and update Malwarebytes from the links below, copy them to a CD or a flash drive, then transfer the files on the problem machine and use them. If you cannot start the computer in 'normal' windows, try to install, update and running AFTER the computer scans are started in Mode safe... I use the sites below to download the installation file and the manual update:

Once downloaded and before moving the machine to the problem, rename the Setup file "mbam - setup.exe" to something like "Gogetum.exe", and then copy the installation file and the update on a CD or a flash drive file... Transfer the file to the problem machine, install the "Gogetum.exe" file, and then run the update for the current program... After that, run a full system scan and delete everything it finds.

Install Malwarebytes-download link (by clicking the links below will immediately start the download dialog window.)

    http://www.Malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free>

Then download the SuperAntispyware program and the manual update of the links below. After you run the Malwarebytes tool that above, if you still cannot download and install directly from the problem machine, download it to a friend or a family member computer as well. After installation and update SuperAntispyware, run a full system scan and delete everything it finds as well. As before, you may need to rename the Setup file for the Setup program. :

  • CSRSS virus or program needed?

I have a file that says windows csrss. the properties say it's from microsoft, but I heard it is a virus / trojan worm. How will I know if it's one way or the other? I use windows XP Professional 32

    Hello

Where do you see the Csrss.exe file?

Csrss.exe is the part of the Win32 subsystem user mode; Win32.sys is the kernel-mode. CSRSS means Client/Server Run-Time Subsystem and is an essential subsystem that must run continuously. CSRSS is responsible for console windows, creating or deleting threads, and implementation of some parts of the 16-bit virtual MS-DOS environment.

Note: The Csrss.exe file is located in the C:\Windows\System32 folder.
If you see this file in a different location, it may be an a virus, spyware, Trojan or worm.

You can run a Microsoft Security Scanner to make sure that the computer is free of infections:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

    Note:
the Microsoft Safety Scanner expires 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.
The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

Make sure you have backups of all important data for you (Favorites/internet Favorites, music, photos, documents, spreadsheets, presentations, drawings, numbers of series and product keys and installation to start with media) as soon as POSSIBLE.

Format and start from scratch OR use the 'Restore Factory default' the manufacturer can give you.  Your stuff of restoring a backup after installation of your spplications on the machine.

  • The worm Moon - infected routers - false shows Message "Adobe Flash critical update required"

    Greetings,

This morning we had several workstations are popping up with an Adobe Flash error.  The browser will be taken over by an Adobe Flash required critical update page and let the browser go to other internet sites.  On the page, a box will appear that says: "Attention!"  your current version of Adobe Flash Player is out of date!  Now, your computer is vulnerable to malicious software.  Update your Adobe Flash player now. »

This message appears on IE Explorer version 9-11, Google Chrome and Firefox and OS Windows XP Pro and Windows 7 pro.  It has the behavior of a virus or malware, so I don't want to run it is to download the file named install_flashplayer_12_x32_64_msaa_aax_latest.exe.

I was able to download both installs flash player from Adobe.com for IE and other browsers site.  Sometimes I was able to run the installation of the system, and it shows that the download and installation ran well with Adobe Flash Player 12 ActiveX not appearing in the list of installed programs.  Other times, the installation does not work and the installation file is mysteriously removed.  Even after the success of the download and installation, the browser briefly works OK, then gets new seized of the "Critical update required" page.

We lack AVG Anti-Virus Business Edition, which is kept up-to-date.  A scan with this program and an updated version of Malwarebytes does not display any virus or malicious software that could cause this problem.

What can I do to get rid of this problem "Necessary critical update" and get our browsers working again?

    Thank you.

    Bill J., Lexington, KY

    I got it fixed.

He called the Moon virus or worm. It does not lie in your pc. It is a malicious code that is built into your Linksys wireless router mainly but D-Link and Motorola have also been affected. Simple solution is to reinstall your firmware and at the same time to remove all web browsing and cache the browser that even reset your default browser and YOUR PROBLEM IS FIXED.

Until recently, I was playing a game called agar.io and I thought that I wanted to try a play on a server private, so I looked agar.io private server. I clicked on a link and it took me another web browser that looked like safari, but the logo is a small insect robot holding something. I clicked on another link that took me to the private game. I clicked play and a pop up comes up saying: "you're mac is infected with the virus of worm of Bank. instantly, he asked if I wanted to download an application called macKeeper. I said yes so I downloaded it and it asked me to pay $148,99 to clean. I paid and the thing asked if I wanted to pay $400. something I wanted to but I did. When I filled out the credit card information, the Bank sent a message saying that she could not be allowed, so I looked upwards on the web aboutt this mackeeper. I was looking at the apple forum said the same thing, mackeeper wasn't true. I contacted apple and asked them to fix remotely my conputer, which they did for $199.99, which is worth about $400. I asked them if mackeeper was legitimate, and the guy said he wasn't and it removed instantly. I called the Bank and asked them to charge me for the $400 and $148,00, and I explained to him that mackeeper was a scam. they understood and said they didn't charge me. I made the right choice?

You did good in the end, we call it MacKreeper.

  • Firefox refuses to stop the blocking of pop-up windows - up, even with added exceptions and blocker completely disabled.

I work in a facility that uses a corporate intranet to access our database. The database uses windows pop up widely important information. Problem is that Firefox absolutely will NOT stop block popup windows no matter what I try. At first I added our database server to the list of exceptions. It worked for a while, but soon after resumption of the important pop-up blocking. I then completely disabled the blocking of popup windows (options > > content > > unchecked "block popup windows"). It did not work until I closed and reopened Firefox. A week later (today!), Firefox takes over again blocking the pop-up windows. I double checked my settings to confirm that Firefox still claims to have the popup blocker off.
At this point, I am at a loss on how to proceed. I looked at other issues similar and my frustration (and certainly their even more), individuals requesting repeatedly told them to turn off the blocker of popups even after explaining that they already have. Help would be very appreciated.

Thanks for the description of the Firefox Safe Mode. I just thought that Safe Mode is a condition under which we could launch Windows XP in a minimal operating system by starting a startup sequence, hold down the F8 key and effectively manage the prrams troubleshooting and maintenance for Windows. It seems that the Windows XP of Firefox version could run not affected by a virus, a worm or other malware, and ge fixed.

Please try this Linux distribution. They are many, and I'm a fan.
