  • Satellite L300 - 1F5 PSLBGE Windows Vista 64-bit display driver

    Hello

I bought the Satellite L300 PSLBGE two weeks; as you know, the operating system is not included.
I installed Windows Vista 64, and since then I struggled to find the drivers.

After weeks of struggle, I managed to get all the necessary drivers, except the "Display Driver"

On the site of Toshiba, this driver is none that does not exist. There is a display driver for the same model but for Vista 32, I downloaded it but it is impossible to install (indicating that I have not the minimum standards to install this driver).

Help, please! I need this driver for Vista 64. It is urgent...

    Thanking you in advance,

    > I installed Windows Vista 64, and since then I struggled to find the drivers.
Usually, you must check if the laptop is supported for some OS at first and then install the operating system.

In any case, according to the specifications of the laptop, your laptop must have the Intel GL40 graphics card. The same Satellite Pro U400 PSU45E and it is Vista 64 bit supported.
HEREis the link to the driver.

    Check it out!

  • Western Digital 1 TB My Book external hard drive on Vista 64 - Bit needs driver. Windows can't find it!

Here's the deal. I bought a Western Digital 1 TB my book about 2 months ago. I plugged on my DELL XPS laptop running Vista 32 bit with no problems and managed to save all my files. Everything worked very well. Although this computer is damaged and sent to DELL for repair. Make the long story short, a replacement computer was sent to me. Now, I have a DELL studio XPS under Vista 64 bit and now the external hard drive is not recognized.

I understand that Vista supposedly recognizes external drives and download the drivers when connected to the computer. Windows tries to find the driver but is unable to find and does not install. In Device Manager, the drive will appear as unknown device under other devices.

I searched for an answer to my problem and posted on yahoo as well, but nothing useful that worked were found at the moment. When I do an automatic search for the driver, windows cannot find the software and refers me to the manufacturer of the device. Western Digital returns me to Microsoft.

I tried all references to Western Digital troubleshooting, and as I said, this device works perfectly on the 32-bit system. I know that this has been a problem for many and would like to know if there is something I can do to get this device working once more. I don't want to reformat the drive, but if I do how can I if the Vista operating system can not find a driver?

Thank you. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I searched for the 64-bit operating system compatibility page and indicates the compatible reader.

This is the exact drive I own: My Book Essential Edition 2.0 WDH1U10000 - disk hard - 1 TB - Hi-Speed USB

The issue is clearly with WD, the 64-bit driver that they provide or the firmware for their unit

  • Updates to Windows Vista 64-bit drivers /Driver

Hello, I would like to know if Windows updater automatic/updates updated, update the drivers on a windows Vista 64-bit.  And if I update drivers through Driversupport.com it will improve my performance of browsers?  In general it is necessary to regularly update the drivers?  This will help with browsers not supported?

    Thank you for responding.

Windows Update does work just in pc hardware updates/software/drivers. If you have specific

controllers PC which are necessary, you're best bet is to go to the web pc mfg. Although Win 7 on the

MFG site are outdated. If it's a pc intel, go to: intel.com/support/software/drivers,locate the

Intel update utility, it scans any pc processor intel for installation updates, & is common or browse intel

    Download Center/chipset software.

You're browser, so up-to-date, does not work as well as pc offers...

  • Explorer.exe crashing - related to the user account?

A week ago my computer started to sometimes get an APPCRASH explorer.exe error that displayed. No idea what caused it or started.

It happens randomly (or apparently) but I can also re-create this error at will by doing one of two things:

    (1) running any program of fullscreen (games)

    (2) / off turning one of the system icons in the options menu "taskbar and Start Menu Properties-> area-> system Notification icons.

    I am running Windows Vista SP2 64-bit.

A side effect of this error is that my quick launch on the taskbar icons have a messed up display, sometimes they are blackened, sometimes they are cut in two, sometimes they appear in the wrong place.

ALSO worth noting, is that it occurs only under my main account to connect. I created a separate account and it does NOT suffer this error and the two methods to recreate listed above fail.

I found 2 other assignments with the same error message. I tried all the fixes on both without success.

  • Envy 17-n108tx: Realtek HD Audio driver problems

17-n108tx want my laptop is preinstalled with Windows 10 and have jumped several hoops for upgrading to Windows 7, I found myself with a minor problem...

When I first start up in Windows 7, I have no sound, and the light on the button mute on my keyboard no longer works.

When I try to 'test' output in the sound properties my device, I get the error "the device is used by another application. (edit: disabling the option "allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" does nothing to remedy).

If I disable and re-enable the "Realtek High Definition" Audio device then I suddenly audio again, but the light on the button mute remains broken.

If I choose instead to reinstall the audio driver (sp72117.exe), and then the two audio AND the mute button light work as expected - at least until the next reboot.

I have currently only SP1 is installed from Windows Update. I can go ahead and install all the other minor updates to see if any of them address this problem. During this time, but I would like to know if someone else might have a solution to this inconvenience. Having to reinstall the driver again and again is hardly a solution.

    Thank you

Finished installing any other Windows 7 update that helped my audio to work even after a restart, but the light on the button mute was still broken.

For anyone else who has a similar problem, this is how I fix (unless it breaks again in the next 24 hours):

    1. install SP1 and other updates. If it was not more than 140 of them, I could have tried to determine the exact KB.

2 uninstall the Realtek HD Audio device via Device Manager - do not forget to remove the pilot with him.

    3. Select Action-> Scan for hardware changes, Windows will install a generic audio driver.

    4. make a generic audio driver right click and select "Update driver software", then "Browse my computer for driver software".

5 find your "C:\SWsetup" folder and click Next. Windows should automatically install the appropriate driver files that sp72117.exe left to count.

I suspect that installing the driver manually, as opposed to allowing sp72117.exe to install it because the case. But I do not know for sure until I have reformat again in the distant future. Who knows, maybe I'll give 10 Windows another shot at that time.

  • 32-bit Vista Home Premium - Library visual basic runtime C++ crash Explorer.exe

    Friends,

By inspecting some messages on the map, I saw this error discussed before, but not in this context.

Background: Running 32 - bit Windows Vista Home Premium (SP2) on an of Gateway GM5664 desktop (2.3 GB AMD Quad - core CPU with 3 GB of RAM). Firefox is the main browser.
All the latest updates Vista suggested by the operating system have been installed successfully (through 14/08/09). McAfee and Dr. Web scanner revealed no problems with malware as of yesterday.
Latest video drivers Radeon Catalyst are installed.

Situation: I tried to access the directory where my iTunes library using Windows Explorer.  Like Explorer treats files in the appropriate subdirectory, the system crashes with the following message is displayed:

"Error running in explorer.exe. The application requires the execution to terminate in an unusual way. Contact the application support team
For more information. "It indicates the nature of the error as something related to Visual Basic C++

I downloaded a couple of freeware registry cleaners and they have corrected many errors of registry, however, the phenomenon persists. When I downloaded
a registry-setting product commercial (Quad Registry Cleaner), after a preliminary analysis, it is referring to several errors more than the freeware version captures, the most common being the empty registry keys.  It is better to spend the money to buy a commercial registry cleaner, or are there other solutions to try first.

Thank you in advance for your help!

    -Wally

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Registry cleaners are full and complete trash!  They do a lot more damage, then they fix NEVER actually!  Especially if you use more than one!  They are all ready to go to look for competing software, and delete the registry keys!  You give a perfect example of the typical scam, a free version, find the errors that only the product of tax can fix!  It is complete and total garbage!  The first thing you need to do is run the System File Checker.  You do this from an elevated command prompt (right click and select run as administrator).  then type: sfc/scannow which allow to run and to try and correct problems detected with your system files.  But for the love of goodness, fake registry cleaners clear Czar.  Believe me, they are nothing but trouble!  Locutys of Borg

    Resistance is futile

If you don't succeed the first time skydiving probably isn't for you!

    Hello

I installed Win Vista Buss. 64-bit on my Toshiba Satellite U400-112 but the original driver for the Toshiba site does not work properly, honestly does not at all. The only driver that works is a winner. Vista driver but when I plugged in her headphones just got pregnant shape, but there is no sound in headphones.

    Can someone help me, please?

    Hello!

I have a Satellite U400 with Windows Vista 64 bit also, and I used the driver on the Toshiba site (Conexant 4.36.7.0).
It works without problems, I can hear sounds with the speakers and headphones.

Maybe you have an old BIOS. After the installation of Windows Vista, I made an update of the BIOS so try that too.
The BIOS you can find also on the Toshiba site.

  • Windows 7 Professional 64 bit explorer.exe hangs in my computer when I right click on my hard drive. Disks appear in the Solution Explorer or eject.

I have a serious problem when one of my windows, my main Administrator profile profiles, is very strange. Other profiles created on the computer, the administrator or standard user, all do not have this problem. The problem is when I open my computer, on my main administrator account, my hard drive is not recognized. There is a disc in the drive and it will not eject, nor will it recognize one is in the computer. The drive will appear in my computer, but there is no information on the icon about what drive is in the computer. Secondly, when I right click on it, the computer freezes and crashes explorer.exe. Once I have restart explorer.exe everything goes back to normal, but the problem is still there. I have this problem on other users on my computer. A system restore did not work, nor has a registry restored to an earlier period. In addition, everything else on the computer works fine, and there is NO virus or Trojan horses. I ran several deep scans with two different software, Microsoft Security Essentials, and Malwarebytes. I've taken I have a corrupted user profile and try to transfer my files in a new profile through the instructions from microsoft on their Web site. When I finished this profile has been impossible to obtain the necessary permissions to use files and I got errors trying to open anything. I would not have to re - install the operating system, or transfer my profile on a new resolution to this problem. Can someone at Microsoft help solve this problem? Thank you

    Hello

I installed Windows 7 64 bit for my P100-426. It was no problem but I can not foud a driver for the sound chip and I do not know the sound chip that is on board.

    Maybe someone can help me.

    Thank you very much.

    sven_lee

    Hey,.

The problem is hat for Windows Vista 64-bit or Windows 7 64-bit are drivers available for your laptop model. I checked this on the official website of Toshiba:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

According to the Toshiba page your laptop has audio chip Conexant
But Conexant doesn t provide drivers directly then you will have to check again the Web from Toshiba site

I discovered that the Satellite P300 also has card his Conexant and there is a driver for Windows 7 64-bit available. In my opinion, you should try the audio driver for Satellite P300. Theoretically, this should work. ;)

  • Audio drivers for Vista 64 bit for my Satellite Pro P100 PSPA4E

    Hello

I'm looking for audio drivers for the PSPA4E. The reason that I updated to VISTA 64-bit. and I can only find the 32-bit driver on the Toshiba site.

Thank you very much for reading this.

Please don't be crazy on me, but why put just PSPA4E as description of the laptop model?
If you see the Toshiba download page this info can be useful right on step 4 to choose the right laptop model.

In any way, if you can't find it on the support page of Toshiba which means your laptop model is not supported for 64-bit operating system. Identify the sound card and try to find it on the manufacturers support page.
