Vista 64 & PSUS4 & HP Officejet 5610

Printer prints fine when connected to the 64 bit Vista computer.  When the printer is connected to the PSUS4, I added the port tcp/ip with the IP address.  Now it prints about 90% of the page and then crashes.  The key "ON" flashes and it hangs until I turn it off.  Someone knows why?  Thank you.

SOLVED... Added to the TCP/IP port.  Click LPR.  The queue name: P1.

RESOLUTION... Check the box for LPR BYTE COUNTING ACTIVE.  That's why would be to print the page to the next to the last line and then hang.

If my hp officejet 5610 cartridge error because they are empty I can not scan?  under windows vista. I filled OUT THE cartridges and now I can't get rid of the cartridge error.  I tried the solution that I found here to disconnect usb take cartridges to closed door unplug wait a minimum then connect to the top to replace the cartridges and close the door and reconnect the usb and it doesn't get rid of the cartridge error.

There is a document with steps to help solve the errors of the print cartridge in Officejet 5610. This document can be found here.

The error can come from cartridges reloaded, because they do not always work and can damage the printer. See the thread of Ciara_B, located here, for more information about refills.

  • HOW TO PRINT FROM TABLET RT FOR HP OFFICEJET 5610

Help!  I have a new tablet.  I use old operating systems of Windows on an old Toshiba laptop for years.  Now, I have a tablet of RT and it seems everything has changed!  I downloaded the driver for my HP Officejet 5610 all-in-one and it would not install it.  He recommended that I go to the "store".  What the devil?

Hi MontanaDawn, welcome to the Forums of HP. RT of Windows does not use the driver installs as in ordinary Windows. Printer media shall be natively for it to work in Windows RT. RT of Windows supports several HP printers, I don't know if it's a printer supported however. Plug the USB cable and the RT Windows Installer if he can. If it is not this printer will not work with this operating system.

At the moment I can't print more. Whenever the 'Problem with cartridge' message appears. I use no original HP cartridges. Mid October HP provided for a large number of models of an update to resolve this issue. I have not found a link for my model (Officejet 5610). What can I do?

    Thank you.

    Hello @ErikDC

Thank you for showing your interest in the HP Forums! I see that you are getting the error 'Problem with cartridge' with Non HP cartridges. I would like to help.

Your printer has not been affected by this update: dedicated to experience better impression.

You can try these steps, but no guarantee they will work with the cartridges Non-HP: 'Incorrect print cartridge' or 'Print Cartridge problem' message on the Panel of printer for HP Officejet 5600 all-in - One Printer Series.

I would like to know if these measures worked for you. If they did, it's great! Give us some reinforcements by clicking on the solution and laurels, buttons that help and others see that we have the answers! Good luck!

  • All-in-one Officejet 5610: lost all ability to scan after operating system upgrade

    Hello

    First post.

Tried to implement everything. Need for new perspective or someone just told me that the printer/scanner is not taken in charge any longer.

Recently updated to OS 10.8.5 as well as extra memory.

Have scanner only for the work of the company.

The scanner just stopped working after update of HP software. I don't remember version. Nevertheless, today I removed all HD and started around, but nothing works.

Start over means, I downloaded a new driver and the patch.

Using a HP scanning Application. Now that the application does not appear even on the computer.

Let's start with some basic questions and then go from there:

Neither HP or HP scanning Application utility are now on the hard disk after you follow the instructions from HP to delete.

What I need the original disks and to reinstall the software from it or can those be online?

    Thank you.

    Mike

    Follow-up.

Tried this approach (see link), but the all-in-one Officejet 5610 is not listed. I suspect the printer/scanner in is no longer supported?

    THX!

    http://www.MethodShop.com/2013/12/HP-utility-install.shtml

    Second follow-up:

I understand how to use of Apple's Image Capture application as a workaround. Not as friendly as HP Scan.

Unless someone can tell me the HP and HP Scan utility always work in OS 10.8.5 for the 5100, I guess that will be sufficient.

    Thank you.

    Hello

For Mountain Lion, your printer software is provided via Apple Software Update.

Follow the steps below under "Use Apple Image Capture" to scan with the Officejet 5610 on your operating system:

If you are having problems scanning, be sure to follow these documents to install the latest drivers from Apple Software Update:

  • OfficeJet 5610 install not on Windows 7

Our new Dell Pro Windows 7 64-bit system will not install the all-in-one OfficeJet 5610 printer software.

First attempt of installation since the downloaded software and driver from the HP website.

Second attempt from the CD that we purchased at HP for Windows 7 specifically.

Attempts to start the installation, it passes by the process of extracting the files... and then the installation screens go away and never come back.  There seems to be no kind of progress bar or error messages or the other.

We went through the suggested topics to disable startup programs, TSR, uninstall previous installations etc. but without any help.

I have not tried to install this on another Windows 7 system yet, but it's my other next step in this weird problem.

    Please help this confused soul.

    Thank you

    Kim

    This problem is now solved...

The process of setting was to unplug the USB cable from the printer.

Remove the printer from the list of printers in the printers on Windows 7 and peripheral area

Run the software provided on the CD from HP (probably could use the downloaded files from HP support)

The installation after you select INSTALL from the pop-up window (it will show also read - me, etc...)

The following screen speaks of warnings and you must check the "agree"box to continue

This next page is where I clicked on each of the four options and modifications

The part that shows each item to be installed is the place where I unchecked all except the first checkbox
Make sure that you open and exit of each 4 selections (they take a different color when you do)

Click on the button continue, and this time, you will come to a point where the software finally will ask you to connect the Flash DRIVE to the printer.

Now, rerun the package a 2nd time and a screen will come asking you to install "additional software".

Select each (OCR proper recognition, shop for ink and paper etc...) and let the software run to the finish.

Now restart your system and "solutions" HP center icon should now be on your desktop.

BTW, I tried to use the 'install your printer on Windows 7 Wizard' and the different 8 times, he tried to download 380Mb file, he finished only once.  Other times, he died on the time and amounts by saying that the 'download has been cancelled' Nice a HP... Attach it to a minimum so that we can continue with a download point of failure vs having to start over from the beginning. 8 x 17 minutes is 136 minutes of time lost.

Please mark this as a correction of a problem.

also please email me at {removed personal information} if anyone has questions about this problem.  I'd love to help you.

  • All-in-one Officejet 5610: function Scan lost after upgrade to Yosemite

Lost the ability to analyze after upgrade, print, and copy works. Have already done everything suggested by Double-U-di in the Mac OS 10.10 post Yosemite and HP Printer Support posted on 30/10/2014: checking for updates Apple, printer removed from the queue, add printer back, reset the printing system, removed the HP software, repair disk permissions * manually installed HP printer drivers v3.0 and added to the queue printer. No change, printing & copying ok, but the scanner does not.

During approval of the repair disk found a number of problems related to printing and presumably repaired, had more to do with the ' should be 80, group is zero ", but others as well.

Anyone know what I can do, short of buying a new printer? I realize, it's a dinosaur - always attached via the USB port, but she worked just beautifully before the upgrade.

    Hello @DrBucky,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are not able to scan from your HP Officejet 5610 all-in-One Printer to your computer Mac OS X 10.10. I would like to help you to solve this problem today. Thank you for all the troubleshooting steps you tried before reaching out for support. You have completed almost all of the recommended steps. However, the order in which the steps have been completed can cause some problems. Therefore, I will be having repeat you some of these measures to ensure that the appropriate driver is being used.

Step 1: Reset the printing system and uninstalling the driver:

It is crucial for the repairs we have a clean slate to work with. Therefore, I'll take you reset the printing system and Uninstall the drivers for your HP Officejet. Please click here for instructions on how to perform the reset and uninstall. Once the site opens, select the drop-down list for 'Mac OS X v10.6, OS X v10.7, OS X v10.8 and OS X v10.9'. Then, please follow the steps in the method 1 and method 2.

Once steps have been taken, please proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Check and repair your Mac disk permissions:

It is very important to perform the audit before the repair. By running the check first, questions are found. Once all questions are found the repair process will correct these problems. By repairing just without checking first, questions may be missed.

    1. Open Macintosh HD and go to Applications
    2. Go to the Utilities folder
    3. Open disk utility
    4. Select the hard disk volume, you use (usually on the left)
    5. Select verify disk permissions
    6. Once this process is complete, select repair disk permissions

Step 3: Manually install the driver Package:

Please click here to manually download the package from Apple to HP v3.0 printer driversupdate. Once the site opens click on the download button at the top. Follow the instructions on the screen to install the driver package.

Step 4: Check the Apple updates:

    1. Go to the Apple
    2. Select System Preferences
    3. Select software update
    4. Click update now
    5. Install your available updates
    6. Computer restart

    Step 5: Add the device:

    1. click on the menu of Apple , then Preferences System.

    2. click on Print & Scan and then check if the name of your printer appears in the printer list.

    3. click on the name of your printer, click the sign minus (), then remove the printer.

    4. click on the plus sign (), click Add a printer or a Scanner, click the name of your printer.

    5. click on the area of use or with the help of Print and then select the name of your printer on the shortcut menu. Ensure that the Officejet driver is selected.

    6. click Add to add the printer to the list.

    -Source

Once your printer is properly added to, please try to scan the image. For instructions on the three supported methods of scanning without HP software please click here. The support document indicates that it is for Mac OS X 10.8 but the steps are the same for Mac OS X 10.10.

Please let me know if a retry of the procedure described in this new order solves your problem of scan. Good luck!

  • OFFICEJET 5610 all-in-one: PROBLEM WITH OFFICEJET 5610 all-in-one

    I used an all-in - One HP 5610 since 2008.

A few days ago the printer stopped working and gave me "error: 0xd05d010d Reset power", the lights on the buttons 'ON', 'COPY', 'FAX', 'SCAN' and the 'QUESTION MARK' on the front panel are on.

I tried each proposal given by other users, for example to remove cartridges, reset the printer with #3 or #6 or #9, remove usb cables and electricity... but no result.

  • HP Officejet 5610 all-in-one printer have something that can be attacked by a virus?

I have a "HP Officejet 5610 All in one printer" running Windows XP Home edition (32 bit).

I tried to print a file that I had been sent and the printer began to print very slowly (one line / 5 seconds). At the end of the document, which had been printed was a load of rubbish! The next print was ok and printed at normal speed. BUT now, whenever I try to "Scan" a document using 'Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard', the 'Wizard' can take up to 1/2 hour to load when it is used for the scanner. If used for the camera the Assistant immediately.

I downloaded and installed the latest HP drivers and still have the problem.

Is there something inside the printer [ROM?] that can be attacked or is this a rare case to be an error of 'material' with a four year old unit. It is interesting to try to have it fixed or can I get a new camera? If so, which is recommended for a system of "consumption"? -Many thanks.

    Hi Semajleep,

I would recommend printing HP and the Scan Doctor running. It is a quick and simple tool that diagnoses and solves many problems of printing, scanning and connectivity. See the link below for more information on how to download, install and run this tool:

I would like to know if this helps or not.
