Vista accident caused by the effect of novelty on Microsoft LifeCam

Properly installed LifeCam and worked fine on my Vista system. To try one of the fancy effects (included in the program), it crashed my whole system. Now, the only thing visible is the mouse pointer.

Suggestions welcomed.

Hello

You can refer to the following steps:

Step 1:

Start your computer in safe mode and then configure your computer for the clean boot and check if it starts successfully. If it starts successfully can be a third-party application or service is causing the problem.

Troubleshooting in safe mode
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/troubleshooting-problems-while-in-safe-mode

Step 2:

We can use the approach 50 / 50 to narrow down the root cause of the problem.

See the article on how to start your computer in a clean boot state.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

You know that your entire system is running in quirks mode, are you? AE7 is PPC and on machines intel only runs in emulation. In addition, you are severely lack of memory - 1 GB is a minimum for al llater versions of AE, but which usually refers to run "native" without any extra room for emulation. Your problem is more likely that the effect of Write-On doesn't have enough memory to cache the result if you rub. When you RAM Preview or to make, that the problem does not occur, that naturally the brush strokes are properly accumulated in order. I don't think that there is a very good way to solve this problem, with the exception of purchases of more RAM, but you can try to reduce the overall use of the AE RAM and maybe disable the hidden layer in the secret prefs (hold the SHIFT key when you enter the prefs and an additional menu entry will appear).

  • After the accident of traced the effects CC Ray - 3D rendering engine of Initial shader failed to compile (5070: 12)

    Hello

I recently bought a new laptop with i7, 16 GB of RAM and GTX860M 4 GB processor graphics card to be able to launch After Effects smoothly. I wanted to take advantage of the
Feature of the traced the ray but once 3D rendering engine that I pass to it I instantly get three consecutive messages:

    1. after effects error: drawn in the 3D Department: Initial shader compilation failed (5070: 12)

    2. after effects error: drawn in the 3D Department: unable to create the context for Raytracer (5070: 1)

    3. after effects error: drawn in the 3D Department: paged memory mapped for Raytracer. Your project may exceed the limits of the GPU. Close other applications. Try to update the driver CUDA (5070: 2)

I installed the latest CUDA driver, I even added my card in the raytracer_supported_cards.txt file, but the meassage always pop up. In the Panel of previev my specifications of card shows correctly

(as shown on the picture as an attachment)

That seems to be the problem - I have a decent map with lots of RAM Nvidia so I expect it must support a feature of 3d rendering engine.

  • My computer continues to log on temp. accounts? -Caused by the demotion of windows 7 to vista

Hey, I screwed up my computer pretty bad. I have windows vista and I have upgraded to windows 7 ultimate, but I did not like it made a lot of mistakes so I tried to go back to vista, but I couldn't. After a week or two to look through a bunch of fourms I finally found how (I had not a restore point or backup) so I just did it and now I have so many errors. First of all, when I connect it says something like you are connected to a default user to a cause bullsnappps. I have a file with all users and all windows.old, but it's just not loading those.

The other problem is that I can't move all the folders from anywhere. I tried to move users from the windows.old file in the file to normal users, but it does nothing. As it is is not the error codes, it's not made the.

The other party is not really part of the main problem, but since I'm here I might as well this post too. I tried to delete the file windows 7 because that I no longer need and it says I need permission, but I have full control over the file and im owner of it more im admin. So, if you guys could understand how to solve this would be really nice. Either way, I'm only 15 so I don't really know a LOT from the computer, so when you try to explain it please do not go as a great technique. Thank you

Oh and if it's important I used this way to uninstall windows 7 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971760 but when I typed in the commands in cmd, some of them said "the system cannot find the file specified." I think that this is the reason why users is messed up. But then again im rubbish with computers so please help!

    your question is very confusing

    read this links

Your user profile was not loaded correctly! You have been logged on with a temporary profile.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/947242

If you tried to log on to Windows and received an error message telling you that your user profile is damaged, you can try to fix it. You will need to create a new profile and then copy the files from the existing to the new profile.

My advice is to backup your data and reinstall vista correctly

Here are the different ways to reinstall vista

Contact the computer manufacturer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F10 or F11 or Alt + F10, 0 at startup to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

or borrow a microsoft dvd vista

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

Save all data, because it will be lost, do the above

  • Satellite L350D-118 Vista stops working after the error to install Windows XP

    I have a L350D - 118 (PSLE8E) bought 2 weeks ago and is installed in Dutch.
My plan was to make it dual boot with Windows XP Professional.

I resized C: partition using the Vista Disk Manager to make more room for the XP partition.
I then tried to create a new primary partition, but I only could make an extended partition (so I did not).

Then I put in my teacher XP + SP2 installation CD in the disc drive to see if I could install XP on a new partition to be created using the installation program itself. But the XP installation program fails before the installation starts with a message that an error has occurred and not further so that he could cause damage (the bottom line: stop: 0x0000007B (0xF78D2524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000).)

When I rebooted, Vista has not loaded, but there is only a flashing cursor in the upper left corner of the screen. X (there is that no message as not found operating system, or something like that.
When I press on and/or press and hold F8 while loading the Bios, the same thing.
The laptop is also transformed the immediately after pressing the power on button, instead of having to wait 4 seconds.

Then I inserted the DVD of Vista Premium x 32 I have from my PC. This displays a message, press any key to boot from the CD/DVD... If I press a key, there is a bar "loading files" style back and after a loading bar Vista-style. After that, it still displays a flashing cursor in the upper left corner of the screen.
When I retried with pressing F8 and select last known good configuration, it blocks the same way.
When I retried with safe mode, the screen freezes after Loaded: \windows\system32\drivers\disk.sys

I also tried the Windows XP edition family, and Windows XP Edition - family + SP2, but all abandoned and gave the same error message.

I tried to start with the prompt with a CD of Windows 98 SE. It works, but it can not find the drivers for the DVD-disc drive and since W98 doesn't support NTFS I don't see what is on the C: partition. :-(

I did a recovery DVD because it is already on the D: partition and I do not plan on using Vista.
There was also a non dos partition of 1.5 GB at the beginning of your hard drive. This is mentioned in the guide of the 3-8 regarding the system recovery options.

Is there another way to take a look at the C:-partiton or get HARD drive recovery tool work?

If you say that the [http://backupmedia.toshiba.eu] Toshiba Recovery DVD, how did you it will work. ?:|

    Hello

I must say that your ad is very interesting and dual boot is a topic where people can write about experiences.
Last month, I did my own experiences and want to share with you.
At first, I must say that your ad is a little confusing. Let's start with General things.

Dual boot (installation of two BONES) is without any doubt, and I see no problem here.
It is just important to have two partitions on the HARD disk. If you have preinstalled in C that you want to use in the future or create one with disk manager or just start the installation of the OS and the Windows installation to create the second partition.

If your laptop has two hard disks, you can also install the second partition on the first partition, which belongs to the second HARD drive.

With short words, all options are open and it's just important to know what you want to do exactly. If I understand you right, you cannot boot OS preinstalled.

The problem is that after having playing with partitions, you will not be able to use the saved on the HARD drive recovery image. This score from GB 1.5 has nothing to do with the recovery image, and it is characteristic of Vista. If everything is OK, you can enter if you F * to start and choose the first option called fix my computer.

You can see this option after using F8 at startup?

I really don't understand why you have this error message when you start installation of WXP. What you can do is to set the default BIOS settings and try again.

If you order the Toshiba Recovery DVD, you will be able to reinstall the OS and have once again the factory settings. Maybe you should buy it. OK, it costs about 40 Euros, but this isn't a bad idea to have the original recovery DVD. Perhaps one day you want to use Vista or you want to sell your laptop. It's good if you can also offer original recovery with her media.

Sorry if I forgot to comment on something in your ad. If you have any questions please let me know.

    Good luck!

  • Equium A60 - error caused by the RAM problem - Windows tool does not work!

    Hi all

When closing my laptop, I got the blue "screen of death" and it restarts, windows came with this analysis of the accident: "error caused by the memory problem to live: run the Windows tool". I downloaded diagnostic tool (mstinst.exe), he opened so I got "windiag.iso" and he burned on a CD like they told me (the use of 'Record Now') and then I put in the CD drive and rebooted my computer. But it did not launch the tool! Does anyone know why it went wrong and how can I make it work? Even if I got the tool to work, I would be able to solve the problems of RAM anyway, just taking my laptop to a repair center?

    Thanks :)

    Hello

I put t know if you have seen this page http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp but there you can find a detailed explanation of how to use the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool.

    Good luck!

  • What doesWhat is the cause of the msg blue screen error stop: 0 x 90909220, 0xBF94BAD1, 0 x 00000000, 0 x 00000000?

    Under XP SP3

As the forums MS Answers does not prompt for any information system when a new question is asked, we know absolutely nothing about your system.

Not knowing the basic information a problem prolongs the frustration and the agony of these issues.

Provide information on your system, the better you can:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

What is your Internet browser and version?

Your system's disks IDE or SATA drives?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

You have a genuine XP installation CD bootable, which is the same Service as your installed Service Pack (this is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

Do you see that you think not you should see and when you see it?

What do not you think that you should see?

If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

Your system seems to start OK and then crash or didn't he start not at all?
Can you make the system crash when you want?  For example, you would say that there is no specific system activity that coincides with the accidents (like watching videos, playing games, etc.).

The next time your system crashes, provide more information on what you see.

Here's a BSOD example showing information you provide:
Send for the nose and the Red arrows (3 to 4 lines total).
Send all * line STOP message since there are clues in the 4 parameters.
If there is a name of the file listed in the STOP message, don't forget to include this information too.
Ignore the boring text unless it seems important to you.  We know what a BSOD looks like, we need to know what your BSOD looks like.
Now provide more information about your system and data against more recent accidents.
Click Start, run and enter in the box:
    Msinfo32
Click on OK and when the system info summary appears, click on Edition, select all, copy, and then paste the information here.
For information about video drivers, expand components, click view, click on edit, select all, copy and then paste the information here.
There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and anything that turns information private for you, simply delete the pasted information.
This will minimize back Q & A and eliminate guesswork.
    Download BlueScreenView here:
Unzip it and run it (BSV installs nothing) and let him complete the digitization of all your crash dump files.
If you double-click on depressed, you will get information on it (including the field caused by the driver) and you should be able to spot the problem right away - especially if you see a model in landfills where Caused by field pilot is the same (beginning with this driver).
BlueScreenView tries to find the right driver or module that caused the blue screen by looking inside the stack of the accident. However, be aware that the driver detection mechanism is not 100% reliable, and you should also look in the lower pane, that display all drivers/modules found in the stack.

Sometimes BlueScreenView will involve XP files as being the cause of the accident (ntoskrl.exe, win32k.sys, hal.dll etc.) but they are probably not the real cause of the accident (BSV is doing the best he can).  You will need to either pick up some example crashes over and look through them, or find somewhere the XP files are not the 'cause' or you can upload your files to your SkyDrive crash dump and someone with the windows debugging tools can help take a look at them more closely.

Select (highlight) one or more of the most recent dump files by clicking on them and hold down the CTRL key to select multiple files.  Try to select only the most recent links that relate to your problem (perhaps five or six to start dump files).
Click on file, save selected items and save information from the dumps to a text file on your desktop called BSOD.txt.

Open BSOD.txt with a text editor Notepad, WordPad, etc.), select all (Ctrl-A), copy all the text in the Windows Clipboard (Ctrl-C) and paste the text to the Clipboard (Ctrl-V) back here in your next reply.
