Vista fails to boot normal will start in safe mode

Vista Ultimate x 64.  Intel core I7.  When I boot in safe mode (minimum), the computer will start up nicely, when I boot 'Normal' it does not completely load.  Freezes in the status bar.  Using MSConfig to disable everything starts all services it let me and it still freezes during normal startup.

Automatic recovery of start-up believes that everything is ok.

Safe mode with network freezes as well.

Tip clean boot

It is a boot cleaner than the MSConfig clean boot.

I have a compaq presario c700 laptop computer does not load the operating system and goes directly to the start of the repair screen. From the start, I have Windows could not start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause of the message... I tried the system restore. I can only access it through safe mode. Suggestions as to how, I can start over with this laptop?

    Hello

If you have backed up your data, press F11 at startup to start the process of recovery back to factory settings

It is normally the button in HP products

and read the information on the usual ways to reinstall vista

Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

  • Windows Vista Basic, 32 bit, does not start up-will start in safe mode

My computer fails to start. This problem came about 2 weeks ago when I rebooted after an update for McAfee Total protection requiring a reboot. But I don't know if that is why the computer not boot not correctly.
After a lot of testing to the Startup Repair and shut down the pc and start it again, it starts to open a session for users. But after that I restarted again in this State, the problem persists.
There is no error codes or messages, it just does not start. There is no virus infection (I hope). While the pc is booting, I also connected to Admin and checked if there were any problems found. But no other problem than a problem with Teredo Tunneling Pseudo - Interface. I solved this problem.
So after all these checks, I restarted again, and it will not start again.
It starts in Mode safe with no problems, and I have restored the pc a couple of times, but no use.

Y at - it a fix for this?
Any help will be very appreciated!

    Hello RubeenaY.

After looking on this thread. the most remarkable thing I've seen, is that we are able to boot mode safe without problem. Typically, this means that we cannot start because a driver, service, or application takes over at startup which prevents our normal operation.

I recommend you to perform a clean boot, as they did in the previous post.

  • Satelite A660 freezes at startup every time, but start in safe mode.

The other day I was using my laptop normally when it froze. Nothing would work, so I stopped and have not been able to market normally since. It will start in safe mode but not in safe mode with network. If I try to boot normally it freezes right at the same time at the start of each time.

    I tried:
-Select "repair your computer" when starting the
-Restoration of the BIOS to the default settings
-Disable start programs in safe mode
-Restore the system to a previous date
-Back to the last successful startup

None of them work. It just freezes.

I can't use the good conditions, not too computer savvy... I even tried to return the computer to factory settings, as recommended on the site of Toshiba, but when you press 0 a screen pops up that doesn't seem to have anything to do with the system restore?

I am at a loss. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello

Everything you tried is right. It is not easy to say why you have this problem of gel, but I think that in this situation best solution is the installation of clean operating system (factory settings).
In s user guides document explains how to do this. I put t know why don't you use 0 to start.
Start with F8 laptop and use the option to fix my computer.

How it works you can also read on follow Toshiba document-http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R01.htm

    Hello

do this work in Mode safe mode with networking:

    Run the sfc/scannow command.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally madeprograms,Accessories, right-clickguest, and then clickrun as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or clickallow.
    2. Type the following command and press ENTER:
      sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions

Download update and scan with the free version of malwarebytes anti-malware

You can also download and run rkill to stop the process of problem before you download and scan with malwarebytes

You must install SP3 before you install your antivirus program. This can be done safely by downloading the file in advance and install while physically disconnected from the Internet. In addition, you should keep IE at the level before installing SP3 IE6.

  • Vista 64-bit Black Screen of Death, with just a mobile available slider, the system does not start in safe mode.

My system worked properly on 25 April and then something happened and now the machine comes back with "Start menu options" but will not start in one of the listed options, modes result in the same outcome.  System also starts on the Vista CD.

System begins to boot normally, shows the tracer Green Windows at the bottom of the screen, then the mouse pointer appears and moves but the rest of the screen remains black.

That's it, that's all what he will do.  I checked the settings of the computer and ran the diagnostic tests available and everything seems to go fine and passes all the tests.

I worked on my own computers for over 20 years and never been stumped before, but I must say this is a first, and I have no idea what to try to do it now.

    Help or direction is appreciated.

original title: Vista 64-bit Black Screen of Death, with just a mobile available slider, the system does not start in safe mode.

See if there is a way to tecover clean your data before doing a restore to conditions of factory that will wipe the drive of all.  You can use Knoppix http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-en.html with a good ISO as Copier: http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm as well as a blank CD (which you will need to do on another computer).  Starting on this disc and lla should give you enough access to the system (if you do not have any other means) to backup your important data.

So since you seem to have no other alernatives, you can try retoring the original factory computer options. However, if it is a hardware problem as could very well be the case, you can still encounter problems after even this drastic step.  Then you will need to consider in a reputable computer repair shop (NOT Geek Squad or or a any of these big store centers) or maybe even go back to the manufacturer for repair.   Check out several options and compare the costs, quality and guaranteed and then make your best decision.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Something is wrong! Start in safe mode, but it turns out that for Normal mode.

    Mac Mini (late 2014)

Processor 3 GHz Intel Core i7

    16GB 1600 MHz DDR3 memory

    Start drive Macintosh HD

Iris 1536 MB Intel graphics card

Monitor: DELL U2713HM, use the Apple adapter to connect to the Mac Mini

I upgraded from Capitan in Sierra and got the problem that after I pressed the power button, the screen is full white. This problem has occurred on the Sierra, never happened in Capitan.

I went to the Apple store today, they made a few diagnostic and found no problem. Everything is good. System is fine too. In the Apple store, they showed me to press SHIFT after I press the power button and it will start up the Mac in safe mode. They told me this can sometimes help fixing the boot issue. My Mac actually works very well in the Apple store. I tried the power and turned off twice in the store, and there is no problem. I am happy and come home.

After I go home, I turn on my Mac, it always has the same problem before you go to the Apple store, after I pressed the power button, the screen is completely blank. So I tried to boot mode safe by pressing Shift and taking until I saw the Apple logo on the screen.

After I log in, I checked my Mac mode, this is actually Normal mode!

If I intended to power to the top of my Mac in safe mode but it turns out to be normal.

If I do not press SHIFT and hold it pressed down after I turn on the power, I'll have just a white screen!

It works very well in Apple store, but not in my own House.

    Anyone know what is happening?

What is different between your system and the store? Have you taken your own keyboard & they were they that? If you use a bluetooth keyboard try using a wired USB one instead. Is this an original Apple keyboard?

Do you have other devices connected? If you delete them.

Please see the article below from Apple, it has information about starting in safe mode without keyboard (by setting a NVRAM variable). If you enter a work boot, you can put the mini in safe mode from there, via the command appears on this page...

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning - Apple Support

I would like to start trying to make another bootable OS disc - either an installation disc or a complete operating system to see if the Mac can be started OK to a different installation of OS - which indicates if the operating system or disk are part of your question, or if the material is simply unable to work correctly at all.

  • HP dv6-6b51nr, will not start in safe mode. pls help

    Thanks for any help.

I am trying to start my laptop in safe mode by pressing f8 at startup. but I got only a black screen then the laptop starts beeping, which will not stop until I force shut down the laptop.

    Seems something wrong. Help, please.

    Thank you.

If you are still able to start a normal Windows there is a work around.

In Windows, search programs and files box, type "msconfig".

Select the Startup tab and choose start as in the image below. Now, restart the laptop and you should start in Windows safe mode.

Don't forget to go back into msconfig later you will start up in the normal Windows installation again. If you forget to do this, it will always start in safe mode.

You do not specify what operating system is installed in your laptop. The procedure is valid for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.

    Hello

See the following message to use to restore access to Windows AFTER you'RE sure that the machine is
    Malware free.

If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to
scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running
resident who can cause as many questions as the malware and may be more difficult to detect as the
    cause.

No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
to detect malicious software often comes with a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Then
its best to be thorough than paying the high price later now too. Check with them to one
extreme overkill point and then run the cleaning only when you are sure that the system is clean.

It can be made repeatedly in Mode safe - F8 tap that you start, however, you must also run
the regular windows when you can.
