Vista (kiosk) user account number

My parents bought a laptop from Costco, and they got an agreement because it was a machine of the display. However as a screen machine that was apparently the installation program to run in a sort of store-use Kiosk mode.  I was able to add new accounts that work very well for them, but I can't figure how to remove the kiosk of the machine account.  It will automatically try to connect to this account of booth at the start.  When I go to the "account management" in the Control Panel, I don't see a "Kiosk" account, but I certainly see a login screen.  I think it's probably some sort of registry thing trying the automatic connection, but I would not dare to start messing around with it unless I got professional help.  I appreciate all the advice I can get.

Hello

Follow these steps:

1. click on start, type control userpasswords2 and press ENTER.
2. under the users tab, check on "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer"
3. If you see the account name "kiosk" listed in, select the username and click on remove
4. click on Ok

Kind regards
Raymond

  • Vista admin user account has been disabled.

I changed the password on my admin user account. After I clicked ok, my computer froze. I had to force him to stop. After the reboot, I can log in using my standard account, but when I try to enter my password for the admin user, it says that it has been disabled and I can't access it. I tried to restart in SafeMode several times and I still have the same problem.

When I click on "user accounts", the only account that I can see is the standard. When I press the link to change other accounts, he asks the admin password. I can't even pull it up to display the password.

I tried to download a program to hack password on internet, but I can't get my computer to run from the CD player (went into the BIOS and made sure the CD drive was listed first), so it does not work. My computer knowledge is very basic, so I'm afraid I'll just mess up as much.

I use a Dell Inspiron 1501. I can no longer update my security programs, start the CD (games) or download anything without administrator rights. Any help is greatly appreciated.
If I posted this in the wrong place, please let me know.

    Hello

Do not hit the space bar, just press ENTER.  If a blank password is empty is not equal to a space.

  • User account number

I followed the instructions on a video on how to remove/delete and give permission to remove the back of the user. However, when I logged in as a guest, I change the Standard user account to administrator. I also changed the original file to c:/user/Krispy2010 (as an example of file folder) to Krispy by changing the user administrator Krispy Standard account. I couldn't control the file as administrator.

From then after the vice versa, I can't completely remove Krispy account entirely. I tried to remove it permanently, but it is not letting me. Eventually the file command is completely frozen without armament on X I had to ALT + CTRL and DEL to delete the file.

  • Problem with Windows Vista user account management

When you go to user accounts in Control Panel, I automatically get up my account but when I click on 'manage other accounts' and continue, I get a screen saying click account you want to manage but no icons or accounts don't appear in the box below?

If I click on 'create new account' it does not work either, I was able to create accounts by going to the parental controls and after the link, but I can't seem to delete user accounts. I am running Vista Home Premium.

    Any ideas appreciated?

I recommend you to check your admin rights.
Eventually you cannot delete user accounts and cannot change anything because of a bad rights.

  • I created a new user account, but it does not appear to connect to it. (Vista Home Premium)

I created a new user account for my admin account.  I tried to create a standard account and I tried to change to an administrator account.  The only place that this account presents itself is managing it new user accounts in Control Panel.  If I try to change user or sign out and then sign back, it never gives me the possibility to sign until the new user account that I created.

I read another post that said to try to restart in safe mode, what I tried without success.

I also don't get no error messages, so I was not trying to fix anything, given that I'm not sure it's broken and I don't want to do something worse.  I only use this computer and Vista for a few days now, so I hope it's something simple I'm missing because I am not yet familiar with the operating system.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

  • I can't connect to Windows Vista. Only 1 user account. Tried Safe Mode. No luck. How can I unlock and find my admin password

    • Vista; Open a session cannot connect
    • None
    • The Point System Restore, Safe Mode, tried to find the file corrupted mode safe "regedit." She appears when in safe mode when I delete the information and I restart the computer, it reappears, so it is not deleted

    Hello

Try this - use the hidden administrator account to lower your user account (to the lowest level) APPLY/OK
then go back and reset it to the Admin APPLY/OK - this clearly allows corruption. Do this several times.
Then fix the password in your usual account. Do not forget to leave your account administrator if you
    wish.

Make another Admin account with your password and use it to fix the others if necessary. (just for
repair, don't use regular account, not a safety valve) always keep a spare ADMIN account.

DO NOT LEAVE THE ENABLED LSA OR USE DAILY. If it corrupts you are toast!
