  • Windows Vista SP1 install problem

Have ultimate Visa on computer and SP1 appears in update as long as 1.9 Mb file {KB936330}. Installation seems to go ok excepy who, after having agreed to be wary of many reboots, is seems to load in a few seconds [appears as update added] with no restarts BUT a few minutes later, the same update appears.

Tried to get around this by downloading the SP and running of the saved file. Once again, everything seems ok [several reboots this time] until step 3 of 3 is 100% full and the message appears while the SP has not then install the steps are to be set aside. In the end, the 0x800F0826 code appears as explantion. I have treid research on this problem, but to no avail yet.

    Disk error checking
    System File Checker

  • Reinstall the Vista SP1

I recently deleted windows vista important configuration files with antivirus software.

I'm sure that reinstall Vista SP1 will fix this problem, a similar problem was actually caused by SP1 during its beta testing phase.

My PC is a HP laptop with a recovery disk, so I can't fix the reader without restoring the State of the plant and the deletion of all personal information.

SP1 came pre-installed on my PC, so I don't know how to uninstall it.

I downloaded the Vista SP1 and tried to install it, but it tells me "SP1 is already installed.

I also tried to install Vista SP2 beta, but installation did not complete.

How do I uninstall SP1 on my PC so I can reinstall it manually?

First of all, I need to know, what is the problem that you have after you have removed the configuration with the antivirus files?  If you know the name of the file it would be useful also.  Please follow these steps to make sure that SP1 is still intact on your system

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/959064

How can you know if SP1 Is installed?

    1.

Click, and then right click on computer.

    2.

Click on Properties . Service Pack 1 appears in the Windows edition section.

If this is the case, use these steps to try to uninstall SP1:

    How can I remove SP1?

    1.

Click on, and then type programs and features .

    2.

    Click on programs and features.

    3.

In the pane tasks , click view installed updates .

    4.

Click to select Service Pack for Microsoft Windows (KB936330).

    5.

    Click the Uninstall button.

    6.

Follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall SP1. After the uninstallation is complete cleaning, other activities are performed in the background for the next hour. Do not try to reinstall SP1 until additional cleanup activities have finished.

I recently had to reinstall vista as windows not loading.

Using the automatic update all loaded successfully. Service pack 1 has been installed successfully, but now everytime I open a 1.9 MB patch wants to install update checker, it has produced 12 times now after each one told me its success.

  • I had problems to install Vista SP1 on different computers 2 Scared of Vista SP1.

I had problems installing Vista SP1 on 2 different computers and have had to reinstall OS and at the same time, after the reinstallation of Vista, Windows update has updated all the updates up to SP1 and I'm afraid to click on it.  I just finished rebuilding my laptop and all important updates and stopped at SP1.  I ran the System Readiness tool update on my desktop and am really GUN-SHY click on SP1.  Is there something else I can look for or take into account before clicking GO?  I was really upset when the laptop was working fine without it and against my instinct clicked on install when Windows update finally offered it.  I was surprised, that he had not come forward.  I have HP Pavilion, AVG and it is on both machines.   On the desktop I had updated SP1 when it first came out, and something zapped my video card and had to install a video card to see what was going on.  Finally I had to buy another HP motherboard.  It was not cheap.  I'm really scared to click on install. And I would like to put into practice what I preach to end-users, but experience twice shot dark me and path of restoration.  Thank you.

I'm back - I'M MY technician.  I support experience dating back to the beginning of the 1990s.  I tried your advice and humiliated.  What I have to lose - I said. If this does not work, I'll reformat and start over.   here goes.

I reformatted, reinstalled OEM in new condition.  Bypassed the Code Purple HP tattoos on their generation, where we replaced the MB that I had.
Uninstalled Norton, installed the Norton remover.
Installed MS Security essentials.   Yet once, I said why not.  try it.
Installed all the updates that Microsoft had to offer.   Have to him. I said.
    It took almost two days.
System has all updates included SP1 and SP and anything withdrew automatic update of Ms.
    Ok.
browser, flash, drivers, software for personal use
    System is being run-
Scanned primary and any secondary t.o.d. after reconnecting them - disconnected for the reformat.

There are other questions which seem to me with ISP but I meet with them, or open a new question.  For now, Vista SP1 and 2 are in.

Oh and if anyone has a HP, which gets a code purple error after entering the process of restoration - Shift and F10 while the purple error code is on the screen and rename files from HP in the form of command prompt to convey this purple code and continue with the installation.  I had to find this info on the site of HP after the first reformat.

and another thing.  I had to take my firewall router a notch to allow download of the Norton removal tool.  Why they still use FTP for one simple download is beyond me.  -

  • Vista SP1 will raise the error "Reinstall Windows"

    Hello

Recently, I had to do a system restore my computer to factory caused by a virus and had to redo all my old updates.  When I went to install SP1, all of a sudden my computer won't start up. It displays the message "installation of the Service Pack: stage 3 of 3" and when he gets to 62%, it goes to the home screen, the screen goes black and I get repeated error: windows must be reinstalled.

When this happened the first time, I did system restore to a point of pre SP1 and my laptop started fine. A second Setup attempt gave the same error. I have an another system restore using a restore point of the Dome and the computer starts well, but how to install SP1 without making my system unstable?

  • Vista SP1 does not update problems and System Restore returns a message "system restore was not entirely successful. File system and the setting of your computer has not changed"with the error code (0x80071AA7)

    0rignal title: Vista SP1 didn't update problem

So, recently, I was on my computer of gf and noticed she had some updates, it could use his computer which included the SP1 update.  So I went through the process trying to update his computer and he has been a disaster and have had many problems and seems to have tried everything.  It has a Dell inspiron 1525 and has no CD and no key for its program of Vista.  I burned a Vista recovery disk and tried troubleshooting by using that, but have not had much luck.  When I use the Startup Repair tool there is no nothing.  So I tried to use the restore of the system with the Description of "install: Windows Vista Service Pack 1.  He had a restore point saved just before I tried to update to SP1.  Whenever I chose this method, it's but the whole process then in the end it says:

"System restore was not entirely successful.  File system and the setting of your computer have not changed. "

then he begins to list the details with the error code (0x80071AA7) and then gives me the option to close or 'Run System Restore"once again that is an endless loop, because I just end up with the same error each time.  If anyone has had this problem and bring myself through it.  I don't want to reinstall windows because it seems simply ridiculous and plus that she a lot of pictures on his computer and I want to get rid of those.

If you need more information please let me know and evil provides everything I can

    Hello

Follow the steps and check if the problem persists.

    Step 1:

I suspect that your security program may be responsible for this. I would suggest you temporarily disable all security software and try the system restore.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software

Note : Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats.  In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Step 2:

As for installing updates is concerned, I you should install them after you put your computer in aclean boot State. There could be a third-party software in conflict with updates. Clean boot helps eliminate these conflicts.

Note: Restart your machine as usual by following step 7.

  • Problem with the Conexant HDAudio after installing x 86 Vista SP1

I didn't want to start a new thread, but it seems that my problem is quite unique.

When the first x 86 Vista install my speakers/headphones worked great. After Vista SP1 installed, my speakers/headphones went silent, but the pilot was still there and working properly. I uninstalled the driver and let Windows automatically install a different driver. (No Rollback was available) I could get the sound from my speakers. Speakers are the only thing that works if I plug into the headphone jack or not.

When connected to the plug headphones I have test the headphones feature in playback devices and receive nothing in the helmet.

Drivers of HP support only cut my speakers while doing my reading helmet camera disappear. Even with the updated driver.

I like to use it as a TV computer and would like the sound of the TV via the headphone jack.

I searched EVERYWHERE on the internet and found no resolution. Any help would be appreciated.

Have encountered problems with the card drivers its me on vista & 7 even when driver installation correct support downloaded installers.

Only solution I found was to download a range of versions of different driver bought research google & trials, tedious but sometimes only way to get the result.

If you uninstall the driver & restart it installs a generic driver audio Conexant or Windows!

I also use my laptop with TV & hifi so work taken audio is a must (card input jack usb audio can be an option if)

Also never rule out the fault of Council helmet as have a Pavilion & after that OS installed on a new drive HARD had no audio for headphones, pilot presumed linked, but after fiddling fuond twist got jack sound, turned Ribbon glued on card Board failed.

  • Portege R500: Fingerprint Software and VIsta SP1 problems

I encounter another problem which seems to be related to the fingerprint software. If I install the software, no issue arises. Once I register the fingerprints, the system slows down. Same clang of the other computers in the domain, in that I am, the response slows down gradually and then fails several times, before becoming inaccessible.

Then as Exlopre crashes after a while. If I can stop the command, it hangs at the screen bright blue vista saying "logout". Then, the only way to turn off the computer is by holding down the power button.

I log back in again once, unregister the fingerprint and all works well.
    Any idea? Thank you

P.S. The software and drivers Vista SP1 and Toshiba are fully patched/updated

    Hello

I am interested in your question, you are connected to a domain and use the fingerprint software in the network?

Well, how it works in the Working Group?
Have you noticed the same slowdowns system using laptop computer not connected to the network?

Please check this because I guess that there is local connection between domain parameters (server) and your stored settings on the R500.

  • Problem with webcam not fixed with Vista SP1 on Portege M700

The Vista SP1 does nothing to the failure of Vista to recognize the built-in webcam Portege M700.
The existing forum thread mark this question as a response, despite the link to the document toshiba mentioning the error messages entirely different from those cited by those of us with problems

I find it strange that the M700 UK wouldn't have a built in webcam; is it really true?

    Hello

I noticed a problem with webcam in time early Vista release, but it was linked to the Vista OS stroller and was solved by SP1.

Sorry, but another problem with webcam into the unknown for me and as far as I know internal webcam works fine also on Portege M700.

As you already suggested the internal webcam is not available on all Portégé M700 series. Toshiba notebooks, any series, are equipped with different hardware specifications and example to the webcam internal, in the light of the webcam and internal microphone are available on some models.

Maybe no problem with a webcam, but some Portégé M700 does not really have an internal webcam ;)
