  I have a strange behavior between our environment VMWare and 3PAR storage system.

  I checked each data store of our cluster and for each of them, the space used in vSphere Client does not match the size of the user 'used' their volume associated with 3PAR.  The value displayed in VMware is higher.

  For example, our data store named DS03 has space around 1 TB in VMWare.  And when I checked in the Console of 3PAR, I see that the volume created for this data store has a size of the user 'used' 722 GB.

  While doing some research, I came across this post: ability to store data about the free space is not the same thing in VMware and 3PAR

  But the problem I encounter is quiet different. It's the opposite. I do not understand why the displayed value is higher in VMWare...  We are also running vSphere Server version 5.1.0

  Any advice? Ideas?

  It's the ASIC 3PAR inline zero detection function stripping zeros of incoming data until they land on the disc. Www.3parug.com try this happens a lot.

  I just wanted to ask if anyone else here has experienced being refused the payment online through store.vmware.com by the center of training at the local level?

  I was intending to be VMware troubleshooting or optimizing VMware and scale. But I have been informed by all the training centres that they accept only cash or cash ON delivery.

  I find it weird because they are all available for online payment. In fact, I can go all the way up to where after signing up, I can do just a few more clicks and I should be able to pay by credit card.

  The payment method is the prerogative of the center of training or testing? Where I can I hope to have clarification? Thanks in advance for your contributions.

  

  Based on the screenshot, you take the training in the Philippines. As far as I know this means that it will be a class VATC-delivered. If this is the case, then yes it is art about what payment options they offer.

  Cash would be a very unusual way for people to pay for training certainly in the places I know.

  Most common options are the credit card, purchase order and invoice (credit) or VMware PSO Credits.

  You select the ISO in the settings of the virtual machine and select 'connect at Power On "? Alternatively, you can connect the ISO in the current state (power on) and then press CTRL-ALT-INS to 'hot' start the virtual machine.

  PS: If it still does not work, check that you have a bootable ISO image, for example not only a picture of Service Pack.

  Can someone provide a definitive answer on whether different types of vSwitch manage layer 2 priority internally (i.e. 802.1 p).  In other words, these switches internally generate queues waiting seprate, based on the received priority tag 802,1 p, then manage each of these queues at the specified priority (highest priority first transmitted). Or what's a queue internal so efectively not a priority within the vSwitch, just from any external switch (physical) marking in the path.

  Interested in the answer for each of: standard vSwitch, Distributed vSwitch, Nexus vSwitch.  In vSphere 5 and above.

  I asked similar questions before, and no real clear answer.  Apologies if I've simply not spotted, but I searched the docs of VMware and Nexus and of course google pretty bad too.

  Hello, my computer froze, and then I had trouble running VMware after this. I deleted a folder documents in my Imac, as it appeared, I got the Documents and Documents 2. Found after there were a number of documents missing, so I restored the. After doing this my windows side of my Mac said there has not been enough room and thus suspended himself. In some ways and I have no idea how, but after reinstalling VMware and running my drive Imac Applications check, everything seemed to go once again, even though he said then my windows was more authentic.
  Then he came in saying he did have enough room again and again suspended. I did everything what I tried before (I think) but no luck. All my Virtual Machine options are grayed out so I can't do everything I found online for help. There is no VMware tools either.
  I'm about to give up and take my Mac to the shop to fix wondered ig can anyone here tell me in simple terms if there is anything I can do about it?

  First of all, I suggest you to check the amount of free space on the disk (available) on the Mac hard drive. Right-click on the Mac HD > info. It should display. I suspect that there are very less amount of disk space on it and that's why the error message.

  If there is very less available disk space, and then try to empty the trash (ensuring that you have anything important in there). Then remove unnecessary files or move them to an external hard drive. If you have movies, iMovie, iTunes, music etc projects, maintaining a disk external hard should be a good idea.

  Once you have freed enough disk space (~ 2-4 GB), you should be able to start your virtual machine very well.

  I'm new to VMware and have some questions about the installer.  We just bought a HP DL380 G7 server and Exchange 2010.  I want to virtualize this server with a BES.  I'm trying to understand the best way to proceed.  We also have a Dell EqualLogic iSCSI SAN (PS4000).  Wouldn't it be better for me to boot from SAN and have ESxi installed on the SAN?  Or would it be preferable for ESxi installed on the server and have my VM hosted/installed on the SAN?  Thanks for the help.

  I almose same infrastructure such as this, when I started the virtualization process was confused in this place, finally, we kept the boot on local, VMs oniSCSI SAN.

  advantages: 1. because if you have any questions you can the Como.

  2 and also a little difficult to troubleshoot if you have the on iscsi san boot partition.

  3. you can register your vms on san iscsi timing if you want the new ESX installation.

  I have worked on various projects and IT admin job for more than 14 years in Windows and NetWare environments, but have no experience with any type of virtualization.

  I want to acquire sufficient experience for coherent conversation VMware and vSphere in an interview, and to pass the exam, and I think I might prefer the speed and convenience of the Live-Online course.

  Basically, I have 2 questions:

  1. for someone like me, is at - it a real advantage to take VMware vSphere: crash course, or will install, configure and manage of course give me what I'm looking for?

  2 are there opinions on the benefits of class vs Live-course online?

  Any opinions at all would be greatly appreciated.

  1. I recommend the installation and configuration - it will give you the necessary information to develop a good base in VMware and start preparing to take and pass the exam VCP - there's a number fo son in this forum about what you should do to prepare for the exam of the secure Channel.

  2. The line is good and the same class that is provided in the class but I think the interaction with the instructor and with other students is extremely beneficial.

  So I'm a VMWare user and have been in the early days, but alas, slowly watched them go on the track even as many U.S. companies do.   The customer service is set up which ruined communications.

  There is no one there to answer to... call promo codes for being a good customer are erroneous and do not work. etc etc etc...  As soon as they get a great success the loose the form that he got them...

  Well for my part anymore on my way out the door and don't promote VMWare... Back in the Sun... !! ...

  Y at - it no problem using the plugin of VMWare and MS Server 2008 R2 (64-bit) data recovery?  Whenever I try to back up a virtual computer with the operating system 2008 R2 on it, she returns with the error:

  Windows 2008R2 isn't an entirely guest OS support on vSphere 4 and VMware Data Recovery.  We are aware of the problem and must lean into it by a version update - for now, 64-bit Windows 2008 R2 is not supported.

  Also note that you can not the role Hyper-V installed in the parent partition, if you want to run the VMware using VT products, as Hyper-V virtualizes the parent partition, but it only virtualizes the VT CPU features.
