VMware and Windows 10

Hello!

I have a problem with 10 windows, once you get to the screen of disc recognition hard so that you can choose Manual partitioning (advanced options) it asks to insert a USB flash drive or a hard drive, as you can see in the image below:

If they can help me, thanks

Note: Sorry for my little English.

This probably isn't a problem with the virtual machine, but with the Windows installation image that is corrupt (often lead by an incomplete download). Make sure there is the right size and — if provided by MS - the correct checkum.

  • VMware and Windows 7 no longer exists.

Hello, my computer froze, and then I had trouble running VMware after this. I deleted a folder documents in my Imac, as it appeared, I got the Documents and Documents 2. Found after there were a number of documents missing, so I restored the. After doing this my windows side of my Mac said there has not been enough room and thus suspended himself. In some ways and I have no idea how, but after reinstalling VMware and running my drive Imac Applications check, everything seemed to go once again, even though he said then my windows was more authentic.
Then he came in saying he did have enough room again and again suspended. I did everything what I tried before (I think) but no luck. All my Virtual Machine options are grayed out so I can't do everything I found online for help. There is no VMware tools either.
I'm about to give up and take my Mac to the shop to fix wondered ig can anyone here tell me in simple terms if there is anything I can do about it?
    Thank you

First of all, I suggest you to check the amount of free space on the disk (available) on the Mac hard drive. Right-click on the Mac HD > info. It should display. I suspect that there are very less amount of disk space on it and that's why the error message.

If there is very less available disk space, and then try to empty the trash (ensuring that you have anything important in there). Then remove unnecessary files or move them to an external hard drive. If you have movies, iMovie, iTunes, music etc projects, maintaining a disk external hard should be a good idea.

Once you have freed enough disk space (~ 2-4 GB), you should be able to start your virtual machine very well.

  • Simple transfer of VMware and Windows again MBP of existing install on a MB

I bought a macbook about 6 weeks merger there and installed and Windows Ultimate edition. I want to get a new MBP now and try to find an easy way to move all the stuff of Fusion/Windows to the new MBP without having to reinstall etc.  I intend to restore the "old" MB to its original state and give them to a friend. I am a novice on Mac and PC stuff, so I need help. I guess that's not as simple as copying the files from one to the other because of partitioning etc.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

No matter how you transfer anything from one Mac to another, you will need to reinstall merger.

If the Virtual Machine is a Virtual Machine based normal file, then Yes, it is as simple as copying the Package of Document of Virtual Machine from one to the other.  The default location for the normal file based on Virtual Machines is "/Users/$ the specified item was not found./Documents/Virtual Machines /" even if these can be placed anywhere where you have full access to the.

If you have installed Vista Boot Camp and run the Boot Camp partition in a Virtual Machine, then you will need to use something like Winclone to backup/restore the Boot Camp partition.

  • Help - installed VMware and Windows 7 and I can not see my Windows desktop

    Hello

This could be really basic, but I can't seem to get by:

I just installed VMware 8 on a new Macbook Pro (OS El Capitan).

I then installed Windows 7, apparently successfully, all the way up to Windows installation was finished and I went to open the virtual machine for the first time.  The office opened very well, but when I went to maximize this mode full-screen, I essentially disappeared.  She is obviously still ongoing, as he urged on antivirus McFee, that I installed it successfully.

In the library, the virtual machine appears grey, with a basket and McFee icon.

    Screen Shot 2016-03-29 at 8.02.37 AM.png

I tried to uninstall the machine and install again, but the same thing happened...

    Any ideas?

In fact, here is a better description of what's going on...

You are in mode of "unity".

It is a "cache" mode the windows desktop and allows access to applications as they were Mac apps.

In your menu bar, there is an icon for the merge, and you can launch Windows apps from there.

Alternatively, you can simply use "Single window" or mode "full screen" for the traditional windows back office.

The button to switch is in the "View" menu

    Hope that helps!

  • What support VMware Windows 7 as a guest host and Windows Server 2003 as the operating system operating system?

    People,

    Hello.

Because my laptop is preinstalled Windows 7 and cannot dual boot multiple operating systems. I need to install VMware in Windows 7 host and then install Windows Server 2003 as a guest operating system.

I installed VMware Server 2.0.2 in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2003 operating system as a guest host. Everything works fine for a while. But VMware Server Home Page https://mylaptop:8333 / IU cannot display more.

I found that Windows 7 is not a host for VMware Server 2 and strange operating system might happen at any time. I found that 'VMware Player 3' is fully supported in Windows 7 as host operating system but is not taken in charge of Windows Server 2003 as a guest operating system.

People knows what product VMware Windows 7 support as host operating system and Windows Server 2003 as the operating system prompted?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

IMHO, I think that Workstation is the vmware product just for you, the requirements

It supports Windows 7 as a facilitator and Windows 2003 as a host with no problems. You can be confident about it at 100%.

    Best wishes / Saludos.

  • BEFSR41 V2.1 and Windows 7/Vista compatibility

I have a wired V2.1 BEFSR41 with 1.46.02 firmware.  He works very well with several varieties of W98SE, W2000 and XP machines over the years.

When I installed VMWare a few years ago, I noticed that the Vista VM does not have to connect to the router.  As I was testing just local stuff, I don't bother to investigate or solve the problem.

Now I have a new HP Windows 7 computer, and do not access when connected to the router.  The diagnosis think not that the cable is connected.

When I plug the modem DSL directly in the box of W7, I connect to the internet.  In addition, I notice that when I plug the modem into the area of W7, there is some flashing lights on the adapter inside the box.

However, when I plug the cable from the router (the same who normally works fine with XP machine) in the Windows 7 box, none of the LEDs on the network flash card.  This is probably an allusion to the fact that things do not work.

I tried to disable the IPv6 protocol.  That did not work.  I have the latest firmware for the V2.1 according to the Linksys support site. I tried another cable.  I tried several resets since pinhole at the front of the router, several power cycles and reboots of the box of W7.

So I guess the BEFSR41 V2.1 with 1.46.02 is not compatible with Vista and Windows 7.   Any ideas?

What is the IP address you found on the Vista or Win7 computer when connected to the router...?

Click on start > all programs > Accessories > guest... A black box will appear (command prompt)... In the command prompt window type ipconfig and press "Enter"... Look for Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection address IP, subnet mask, and default gateway...

    * Address IP should be 192.168.1.x, subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 default gateway: 192.168.1.1 (assuming that your router is 192.168.1.1)...

If you get mentioned above IP address, a subnet and address the gateway then you ping the gateway, type ping 192.168.1.1 and press ENTER... If she gives you ask has expired, and then disable any firewall, the security software on the computer...

If you get 4 replies then type ping 4.2.2.2 and press ENTER, if you get the request exceeded, then you must update the firmware on your router... If you get 4 replies then type ping yahoo.com and press ENTER... If you get answers from Yahoo, then you should get the Internet after adjusting the browser settings...

Setting of the browser settings: open an IE, click on tools > Internet Options, and then delete all files, cookies, history, forms... GoTo 'Connections', make sure that never Dial a connection is selected, click on network settings and make sure that all the options are unchecked... Once you are finished, click OK... Close IE and reopen...

If yahoo expires, provide static DNS on your connection to the local network...

Click the Start button > settings > Panel > Network Connections - right click on Local area connection icon and go to properties On the "Général" tab, select "TCP/IP Internet Protocol" and click on the properties button - select "Use the following DNS parameters" DNS preferred 4.2.2.2 DNS auxiliary - 4.2.2.3 > Click on the button Ok to save and click on 'Close' in the main window of properties... You should be able to go online...

    * If you found the 169.254.x.x IP address, try to reduce the speed of card (NIC) of the computer to 10 half-duplex Base and restart the computer and check again.

  • Visio 2002 running on vista and windows 7

I use Visio 2002 SP2 Professional at work.  I want to be able to continue the work home with her.  My wife and I have 2 laptops - 1 has Vista and the other is Windows 7.  Can I install Visio 2002 professional Service Pack 2 on cell phones or the other or both for use?  If I need a newer version, not the latest, what will work?

Using the Windows 7 Compatibility Center and the Windows Vista Compatibility Center, they both show that you need to upgrade to another version of Visio to run on those computers. What operating system you use at work?

You might be able to use the compatibility mode:

If the program is not compatible, then you try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.

    Use the following steps:

    (1) right click on the program

    2) click Properties

    3) click on the Compatibility tab

    (4) select run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows Vista or other operating system, the program has been run successfully.

Check out the link here: make sure to run older programs in this version of Windows

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

If you are running Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate version, install Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP mode (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/default.aspx) and run your software in Windows XP.

If you run Windows 7 Home Premium, try VirtualBox (www.virtualbox.org) or VMware Player (www.vmware.com), or any other software virtualization part 3rd and install a separate copy of Windows XP (family or professional edition) for this purpose. You can find the virtualization software free that will run on Windows 7 Home Premium.

    I hope this helps.

  • I get a black screen when I play videos in Windows Media Player and Windows Media Center.

Until recently, all worked well for a long time. Now when you try to watch live TV or a DVD, I get a black screen with sound in Windows Media Center and trying to watch a DVD in Windows Media Player I also get a black screen with sound. The controls are there and functioning normally. DVDs are normally visible in the K-Lite Media Player Classic.

I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, a tuner TV of SiliconDust HD Homerun networked and a videocard ATI Radeon 4550. I have all the latest updates.

I found and tried many recommendations of the Internet for problems like this, and none helped.

The video card driver is the latest provided by ATI to Microsoft for Windows Update and is dated from 19/04/2011. I tried to install the latest Catalyst software and driver from the ATI site, which does nothing to help, and then uninstalled. These drivers provide no option to adjust the hardware acceleration.

I had an older version of K-Lite codec package installed. The problem does not change if I have the old version, the last 32 + 64 bit version or no version installed.

In Control Panel, I tried to disable Windows 7 media, reset their reactivation components and reboot again. There is nothing.

I had an older version of installed package from Cyberlink. The problem remains the same if I have the old version, the version the most recent or any installed.

I tried to uninstall all Apple software: QuickTime, iTunes, etc. There is nothing to help.

I tried to create a new user account; same problem there.

I have VMware and a virtual machine that is running 64-bit Windows 7 Professional. In this machine, I can view DVD normally with Windows Media Player, using the same physical DVD drive. I don't have Media Center set up in this machine.

Title photo: original No. in Media Center and Media Player

The problem is now resolved. I removed the software installed probably because the problem started, and Cisco Webex, which I did not need, was probably the culprit, although I'm not 100% sure.

Thanks to those who have tried to help.

  • Dell Precision m6600 and Windows 10

Y at - there no confirmation of anyone who Windows 10 works on Precision Mobile Workstation M6600?

There is no drivers for Windows 8.1 and I never managed to make it work properly with Windows 8.1. VMWare Workstation would crash, blue screens, etc. This is because there is no drivers for this model of Dell for Windows 8.1 released.    But will it be the same story with Windows 10?

I can confirm that Windows 10 works on the M6600. I just upgraded my M6600 and Windows 10 in fact improved some drivers and improved my way of computer work.

From the moment I bought my Logitech H800 headset, I couldn't match directly with the laptop through Bluetooth. The USB receiver was still necessary. As soon as I have upgraded to Windows 10 my H800 has been recognized and immediately connected!

There are two small problems that scared me at first. WIFI or Bluetooth worked immediately after the upgrade to Windows 10. I don't know why this happened but I am simply gone network adapters and disabled, then reactivated each of them. After reactivated the WIFI started working with Bluetooth

  • Cannot move files between Mac and Windows

I'm Fusion 8.1.1 and OS X 10.11.5. I can no longer move files back and forth between Mac and Windows (7 x 32 or 7 x 34) while in a single window. In addition, the unit is not available (grayed out). I did a Windows Update for virtual machines two days ago and also a recent update of OS X 10.11.4 to 10.11.5 so I don't know if that's the problem. Everything seems to work another Mac running Fusion 8.0.2 OS x 10.11.5. Do not remember if I've recently updated Windows because the dates are meaningless to me.

Advice as to why it happens? In the meantime, I'll try to recover a backup of virtual machine before my recent Windows upgrade.

    Tony

The fixed! I reinstalled VMware Tools on the W7x32 and W7x64 VMs and found unity and two-way drag and drop. I do not uninstall, just ran Virtual Machine > install VMware Tools in the menu bar. There was no option to reinstall VMware Tools, so I guess that the corrupted Windows VMware Tools update that was there before the update of Windows.

  • I'm new to VMware and need help.

I'm new to VMWare and barely installed ESXi 6.0 created a host but now I can not install Windows 2012 r2. Cannot access the ISO. Do I need the plugin integration customer or what. I called tech support and they would not help because I am on trial. Any help would be great. Thank you

You select the ISO in the settings of the virtual machine and select 'connect at Power On "? Alternatively, you can connect the ISO in the current state (power on) and then press CTRL-ALT-INS to 'hot' start the virtual machine.

PS: If it still does not work, check that you have a bootable ISO image, for example not only a picture of Service Pack.
