  If you try to install the drivers on the CD/DVD and then, I would you suggest to uninstall the drivers and the software that is present on the system and then download the drivers and software on the Microsoft site and then install on the system and check if the problem is solved or not.

  I've written before last week. I bought Adobe Photoshop elements 11 and Adobe Premiere elements 11.

  I had a trial version of Photoshop elements 11 and with the code I could access the full version.

  
  However, Premiere Elements did not open after installation. I have a trial version, so I downloaded the full program. I went through the installation process and everything seemed ok, no error message. But when I tried to open Adobe Premiere Elements after you restart the computer, it did not open at all. Nothing happened.
  I uninstalled and reinstalled the program for a couple of times over and over again, but no result. Also tried to download the free trial first, and also it does not work. I checked my Quicktime and updated to the latest version.

  HI Jorge,.

  If you have reinstalled your system using the Toshiba recovery disks the touchpad should have the right drivers and be fully functional. I seem to remember that it is possible to disable the touch pad using one of the "keyboard shortcuts" (F9 on my SA30) in order to check that it has not been inadvertently pressed.

I have Vista Ultimate and all my windows updates have managed: none were not installed correctly, and I did not install new programs or hardware.  It seems that Microsoft knows the snipping tool does not - why can't they simply provide an update patch to correct the problem, rather than make us do all the work.  I don't have to go through hoops of restorations etc to get something it seems work was broken by updates.  I'm about to go to a Mac.

  I think I just found the reason... and a deaf mute.

  I have installed many programs of news lately for the WebCam and connect it to my DirectTV DVR.  So I did not understand that the wrong software belongs to but think it is the WebCam install stuff that belongs to Live Messenger.

  Anywho, the process that prevents any software vmWare installation or execution was "FixCamera.exe".

  Once I have debug more I will update this list.

  It's by chance luck that I found that I was killing various thought process that it could be linked to the virus filters.

  Hello! I got this message when I tried to update my VMware Tools: "there was a problem updating a software component. Try again later and if the problem persists, contact your system administrator or the VMware Support. "What can I do to fix this?

  To add to what Andrew said... Download and unzip the Tools-windows - 9.2.2.exe.tar on the host and then run the file tools-windows - 9.2.2.exe on the host.  He then silently retrieves and installs files windows.iso and windows.iso.sig to VMware players Working Directory.  Then just try to install VMware Tools normally by selecting install VMware Tools in the Virtual Machine menu.  If this does not work then you will need to manually assign the ISO Image to VMware Tools (windows.iso) on CD/DVD to the virtual computer and then install from in the guest operating system by running setup.exe from the CD/DVD drive.
