  It is not really something of great value in AUVs to database, except the basic lines, which can be easily recreated so you are probably better if you uninstall / reinstall vum and re-init the db.

  We run VMware vCenter 4.1 with 3 ESX hosts and VMs. 50 vCenter runs on Windows 2008 R2, SQL 2005 Express SP2.

  Another option is to upgrade to a version of SQL Server 2005/2008 'complete' (see http://kb.vmware.com/kb/7960893), or - where this is an option for you - to migrate towards the currently experimentally supported (starting with vCenter Server 4.1 Update 1) version SQL Express 2008 which supports up to 10 GB per database.   Hello everyone, I hope this ad in the right area of im, I'm looking for some advice on what could be causing my question about integration using the byproducts, I am struggling to find something on the net that relates exactly to my problem so have resorted to forums to see if anyone has tips or ideas , like im fresh out of them now!

  • Acronis advanced backup (Version 11.5 - update 5)

  Since November the synchronization / VMware vCenter integration between the 2 products above seems to have stopped working correctly, which means that any change in the location of the VM machines in the VMware customer environment is not reflected in Acronis more.

  For example, when you move a virtual machine to a folder on a particular data center to another folder in the same Datacenter, this change should be so reflected in the Acronis, what is happening is no longer.

  In addition, when a virtual machine brand new is created in vSphere and is placed in the appropriate Center of data/file structure, this should (and working correctly until November) fill with Acronis 'vcentre' host Group that has the folder structure equivalent to pick up the plans for appropriate backup etc, but this happens is no longer, instead , the only way that you can see the new VM is under "all Virtual Machines.

Thus, in order to update the database of AMS, we execute the SQL query with these settings, but when 2 or more of the virtual computers contains the same parameters, the SQL query fails > This is why the changes were not reflected and it was not possible to update the vCenter folder structure.

  The developer removed then duplicate values enable and disable the vCenter integration, by doing this it was able to resolve the problem.

• 5.5 upgrade Question

  We have in place upgrade from 4.1 to 5.1, with all components of vCenter installed on Windows 2008 server except Update Manager and SQL server on separate virtual machines. 2 years ago we currently have about 40 clusters/200 esxi hosts/1200 virtual machines. We need to upgrade to 5.5 U2 envirorment. We must also build the hybrid cloud from this infrastructure. I would like to know what is the best way to improve the environment like this one where we use vSS not vDS, simple installation was used for 5.1 upgrade. do we need to set the SSO, web client, Inv. srvs and vcenter servers on separate etc.do we use linked modes, heartbeat etc. If we vDS is better than vSS, we need to upgrade with existing configurations that leter migrate vSS to vDS?

  Hello everyone, I just use Citrix Xenserver to VMware vCenter with Operations Manager 5.8.4.  I've looked everywhere and cannot find an answer to this.  Is it possible to update VMware tools in the vCOPS TIME?  I just started my new environment with v8 of Veeam backup and he lets know me that VMware tools are outdated.  The only reason why I ask because, coming from Citrix Xenserver v6.2, whenever a device from the virtual computer is provided by Citrix, you're stuck with the tools provided in this unit until they update the device.
