Vmxnet3 disconnects abruptly from the vDS on a server running Windows R2 2012

Vmxnet3 abruptly disconnects the vDS on a server running Windows 2012 R2. When this occurs, the affected server also loses its static IP address for a 169. address.

Any ideas on what could cause this problem. It happens 2 Wk12 servers in a production environment of servers W2k12 100.

Hello.

Have you tried to re-install vmtools and restart on this vm?

The remote server administration tools package seems to work only for the management of Windows 2008. I have a web server running on Windows 7 and want to integrate the messaging service. IIS 7.5/7.0 does not include this feature. Now that are remote server administration tools installed, I tried to use the feature of IIS 6.0, however, a message is displayed to indicate that I don't have the SMTP service is installed. I checked the 'Server' SMTP under functionality after installing IIS 6.0 from the admin of remote server Pack. This does not install the feature. • Disconnecting safely from the MacBook to time capsule

    Hello

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I really would like some clarification.

I've set up my time capsule and I am just finishing my first return to the top of my rmbp via Ethernet.

When the backup is complete, what is the best method of separation of the rmbp and the time capsule?

That is to say. Disconnect the Ethernet cable from the rmbp.

Is it OK to let the CAT6 connected to the CT for later use or can it have negative effects?

I have not yet joined the network wireless on my rmbp.

I just want to do all the right step gently,.

    Thank you!

When the backup is complete, what is the best method of separation of the rmbp and the time capsule?

That is to say. Disconnect the Ethernet cable from the rmbp.

Yes, just unplug the cable at both ends and store it in the desk drawer.

Is it OK to let the CAT6 connected to the CT for later use or can it have negative effects?

Fine to leave it connected if you want for as long as you want.

I have not yet joined the network wireless on my rmbp.

Unplug the Ethernet cable before you configure the wireless connection.  Activate the Wireless 'off' when you want to reconnect the Ethernet cable.

  • How to copy the data from Palm Desktop on a PC running Windows 8.1

If like me you still find the Palm Desktop data (addresses, calendar, notes, etc.) handy and use it long after throwing the combined capacity and 'sync', you can see this is useful.  I bought a new PC running Windows 8.1 and had problems with data transfer due to a problem as I understand it, which does not exist in Windows XP, Vista or 7 versions.  Here is a summary of a way to easily transfer data from these earlier versions if you have a USB flash drive (or Dropbox, Google Drive, whatever) very convenient:

    (1) Download Palm Desktop 6.2 or 6.2.2 to your new PC.  Give a user name exactly as it exists in the database from your old PC.  This name will serve as Office Automation to create a folder name of six letters (an abbreviated version of your name) to hold the data that Palm Desktop will turn upward.  Wait a few seconds for this to happen, and then close the application on your new desktop.

    (2) in your old PC you want to transfer data from, find the folder named "Palm OS Desktop" which should exist in 'Documents' under path of folder and subfolders 'Users' as > your subfolder name > Documents in Windows 7 (can also be Vista) or may be under "Documents and Setting" folder in Windows XP.

    (3) in this folder "Palm OS Desktop" search this subfolder of six letters of your name and select this whole subfolder and select 'Copy' or Ctrl-C

    (4) locate the same name of subfolder in your new PC (which will have data zero), delete and then 'paste' the subfolder you "copied" in the exact same location.  If you did it right, Viola!  Your new desktop PC should display all the transferred data, once you open the application again.

Most of the same procedure works with PC Windows 8.1 (probably also Windows 8).  What I found different is that the subfolder of data created under "Palm OS Desktop} had 7 instead of 6 characters with a"0"(zero), added as the last character.  When finally, you copy and paste this subfolder in the new PC there so rename and add "0" for the Palm Desktop to locate these data.

    I hope this helps.

Data in XP is located in C:\Program Files\Palm (or PalmOne) \ < your HotSync name truncated > \Backup.

HotSync for Win8 has been available for quite a while now!  See the post at the beginning of this section called "64-bit Windows USB drivers for Palm Desktop" for instructions and driver downloads.

Palm Desktop 4.x and 6.2.2 use different database formats - 6.2.2 went to .mdb as an extension.

Best way to migrate data is to perform a HotSync on the new machine, or use the built-in in Palm Desktop Export/Import option.  Export the addresses and calendar files, and then copy those of the new machine.

The import option to retrieve data.

  • HP Envy 4500: Print jobs disappear from the print queue and not print (Windows 7).

I just bought a HP Envy 4500 printer,

When you attempt to print from a PC with windows 7 OS home pro (64-bit), the print job appears in the queue and then disappears, but the printer does not print anything.

Everything else seems to work very well know

    • The printer prints the internal test page
    • The printer does print when you use iPad2
    • The printer does print when you use ePrint
    • The PC recognizes and communicates with the printer (tried with USB connections and wireless)
    • Analysis feature works very well - when initiated from the PC and printer

    I tried

    • uninstalling and reinstalling the software (several times using software from different sources)
    • restart the printer queue service
    • Disabling the firewall
    • running printing HP and doctor Scan
    • following the instructions described here (the question is the same but the different operating system):

Print jobs disappear from the print queue and print (Windows 8)

    • combinations of all of the above

Absolutely no joy in any of them, and in spite of more than 2 hours of research on Google and forums search I can't find a solution.

HP... can you give me a solution or is that goes back to the shop?

Well I finally worked on the fix myself by trial and error.  I changed the security settings for 'All' and 'Creator owner' to 'Print' and "Administer Documents".  Why on earth they were not automatically allowed as part of the installation, I couldn't really say.

Hope this helps someone else with a similar problem.

I tried system restore and that does not work, what is the best way to resolve this corrupt file? I prefer not having to reinstall windows. : P

    Hi Allan,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

    Update installation?

All updates are installed correctly on your computer?

    Method 1:

You can check if all updates have been installed successfully on your computer. To check

    1. click on Start Orb

    2. in the start menu search bar type Windows Update and press ENTER.

    3. in the left pane, click view update history and check if all updates are installed successfully or not.

    4. If updates failed, then uninstall it and try to install manually and check if that helps.

    Method 2:

If this does not help, you can try to start on the last good known Configuration and check if that helps. Starts Windows with the last configuration of registry and the pilot who has worked successfully.

Steps to start last good known Configuration

    Follow these steps:

    1. Remove all floppy disks, CDs, and DVDs from your computer, and then restart your computer by clicking the Start button, clicking the arrow next to the shut down button, and then clicking restart.
    2. Do one of the following:
      • If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you need to try again by stopping and restarting your computer.
      • If your computer has more than one operating system, use the arrow keys to select the operating system you want to start, and then press F8.
    3. In the display Advanced Startup Options , use the arrow keys to select last known good Configuration (Advanced), and then press ENTER.
    4. If your computer has multiple operating systems installed, use the arrow keys to select the operating system that you want to start using the last good known Configuration, and then press ENTER. Windows will then resume starting normally.

For more details follow the link below.

Using the last good known Configuration

Let us know what is happening in the last known good configuration.

  • Get rid of it completely from the permissions of file/folder in Windows 7

I'm looking to completely disable the horrible Windows 7 permissions, you need administrative access (even if I am logged in as the system administrator account) to rename or delete a file system.

I'm willing to change registry as long as possible. I also tried to appropriate folder permissions and setting to allow complete changes but still no luck. Another method?

I think I have it solved. Here's what I did

    1. enable the system administrator account from command promt.

2 log in as system administrator

    3. Select the Windows folder to the root of the installation

    4. open its security properties, click 'Advanced', go to the 'Owner' tab and click 'change '.

    5. Select 'Administrator' (not "Administrators"). Check the option "replace the owner of subcontainers and objects".

    6. click on 'Ok '. It will confirm the action and take 2-3 minutes to set permissions on the folders and subfolders

    7. now close the Properties dialog box and open it again (required after the evolution of the property)

    8. again, go to the Security tab, click on 'Edit' to modify permissions. Select "Administrators" (or the other)

    9. in the pane below, check the box under the "Allow" column and on the line "Full control".

    10. check that all the checkboxes are checked (this gives a full permission to the account administrator to all what the user wants with the files and folders in the Directory Windows)

    11. If it does not, as suggested above by John, when the change of ownership, check the option "Include the permissions that can be inherited from the parent to this object" is disabled

Of course, this creates a security risk, but I'm willing to accept the risk for the benefit of any interruption during the replacement of the system files. God Windows is stupid.

Thank you for your help and elicit responses, John.

  • Signature of IPS 4003/0 - NMAP UDP from the outside W2K3 DNS server

I've read around a bit and all I can find on this tip of signature on Linux hosts. In my case, this sig is shot as Atacker = W2K3 DNS server in my DMZ. This is our external DNS (SOA) server. Until now - I can't find any reason to NOT worry - there are false positives that could be the cause?

    Hello

According to the details of the benign trigger for 4003-0:

'Tools of networking, such as clear view HPs, provide mapping network capabilities. This may include a mapping of the network services available, so the scans to UDP port that can come from these systems.

Servers Active Direcory (Port 88), LDAP (Port 389) and DNS (Port 53) showed that cause false alarms positive when the answers to many questions from the same host.

The nature without State of UDP traffic, this signature can be triggered on any application that makes multiple requests for the same UDP service on another system. Because often, the application uses a different source for each port, the service responses can be confused with a port scan by the sensor. So when considering alarms for this signature, it is established that a known network service is the source for this alarm port, a filter will eliminate false alarms postive. »

In addition, from the filters section has suggested:

"Exclude as sources and destinations network management stations. Exclude the DNS / LDAP / Active Directory servers as sources. »

If the signature has recently started shooting for this DNS server, then you might want to read http://isc.sans.org/diary.html?storyid=5713 that may apply.

I don't know which is the site of ammyy, and I don't know what you have downloaded. If you just downloaded a file and tried not to install or run, there are no danger to him, niether to your computer or any other. If you think it's dangerous, just delete it.

  • Is it possible to set a hyperlink to open the content from the same file in a new window?

I use Adobe Standard8, but can also use Adobe 9 Standard for this.

Is it possible to have a link automatically open the source content in a new window?  Package or a file combined?

Or another way to approach it that I don't see?  We have a main document with about 20 files we would like packaged with the main document.  We do not want the 20 files necessarily consider that if the user clicks on a hyperlink to access the file. We are trying to figure out how to get to open it in a new window instead of the support of the existing window.

I think I understand what you want, and you should be able to do. The trick is to put in place the links to the PDF files attached after that PDF files are attached, as opposed to before. You can attach files to PDF in Acrobat 9 by selecting "Document > attach a file.

~ Using the same instructions as before "Sent" opening the file in Notepad.

Make sure Thunderbird is closed - which is important.

    In the "Sent" folder

    • -Sun Dec 28 18:14:40 2014
    • X-Mozilla-Status: 0001

    Use 'Edit' > 'Find'
From the top use the look for this line:
    X-Mozilla-Status: 0001

Make sure that each X-Mozilla-Status: the number 0001
change the number as necessary work down through the document.
    Save the file.

Delete the file "Sent.msf". A new one will be automatically created.

I think that the answer to the replacement hard drive is in your question.

I replaced the drive hard drive with another drive that has been loaded with xp but it stil is.

You can not take a hard drive that was in another computer when the Windows installation, place it in another computer and boot from it. You will get a boot loop. It will start to load Windows then suddenly, re - start. This will be repeated again and again. You must install Windows on the disk hard while it is in the computer that you intend to use it with.
