VPN connection to the remote desktop

My company has recently introduced a new VPN system for remote access to the desktop. The old VPN worked well with my computer at home. Now I thought that "Critical Patch KB2115168 must be installed" in order to connect remotely. Many other patches were also shown as being mandatory. My company seems unable to solve this problem that many employees know when they attempt to connect remotely with the office. Please notify.

  • Windows 7 Clipboard stops working when it is connected to the remote desktop

The two machines are Windows 7 SP1 with the latest updates.  Remote configuration is configured with the selected share clipboard.  The Clipboard works on the host machine until the remote desktop is started.  The Clipboard of the remote computer works without any problem.  Clipboard on the host machine starts working again when rdpclip.exe is interrupted on the remote computer.  If rdpclip.exe is restarted on the remote computer, the Clipboard of the host machine then stops working again.

I had similar problems with Clipboard in the past, but getting the two machines on a fixed day.  It seems more recent updates have created a new problem.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

The question could arise if the process is damaged and should be revoked on the remote computer to restore operation. I suggest you to try the following steps on the remote computer and check if the problem persists.

    1. Open Task Manager (right click taskbar and select Task Manager)
    2. Go to the process tab
    3. Select rdpclip.exe
    4. Click on end process
    5. Go to the Application tab
    6. Click on the new process
    7. Rdpclip type
    8. Click OK

  • system restart when connecting to the remote desktop

    Hi team,

I have a system and we mainly by using Remote Desktop connection... We are facing a question like: -.
Suppose that a person take system through MSTSC, and after some time, if someone else will try to take remote desktop that PC even on this weather system will restart and then only another person will be able to access...
I did some troubleshooting steps: -.
System analysis but no virus detected...

You could someone help me on this...

    Kind regards
    Narendra

do you want to say that restart the computer, or do you mean that the current user is disconnected when a new user enters the new user credentials.

If you mean the user is disconnected, keep in mind that XP pro only allows a user to be active at a time.

Take the example of computer B, computer A and computer C.

computer A is that B and C are trying to connect to via MSTSC.

first computer B connects to A loggs, then runs a program. 10 minutes later computer C attempts to connect to A, and loggs on. If the credentials of the user are different from those used by computer B, will be disconnected the session on A and C will start a new session. This means that all of the programs that were running will be closed during the disconnection process.

the way round, it would be to use the same newspaper on computer B or C on computer A credentials, anything could happen would computer B may be disconnected, and computer C would take control of the session if all running programs should continue to run.

the other option would be to have all programs running as a service on computer A, but it really depends what you have found computer has to do.

    I hope this helps.

  • Screen 5600ea - completely black HP Omni 10 after crash while on the remote desktop connection

I hope someone can help me with this.

I had updated my Omni 10 to Windows Pro 8.1 so that I can Office remotely on my tablet on my work lan to get the benefits of the 2013 Office (we have not this version to work) on my work PC.

Anyway, while it is connected to my 10 Omni via desktop remotely my Omni 10 crashed after connecting a USB drive that is powered via a USB OTG adapter. I used the front adapter without any problem with the USB card readers bus-powered and also the Lan USB card so I know it works, and the outlet powered USB hard drive works on my PC without any problem.

The Omni disconnected from the remote desktop, and I guess it crashed, but the screen is black even when I hold down the power button and wait for the vibration (which usually means that it is set to zero).

There is nothing displayed on screen, my work PC is unable to connect via Remote Desktop, and any number of power cycles seems to relive.

I tried with the attached Omni 10 charger and without.

There is no HP logo involve restarting at any point, but the Windows key infiltrates a vibration when I push on it.

While enjoying the fact that the Omni 10 comes with the base Windows 8.1 and not Pro so I changed the configuration it worked fine for a few weeks since the installation.

Pointers on getting this thing to life would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

I returned to the store that I bought, and they sent to HP for warranty repair.

28 days ago so I went back to the store and they gave me a brand new boxed 10 Omni processor.

When I got home I installed the driver and Windows updates. I noticed that the WiFi reception was really bad, even right next to my router, and the cameras had lines on the screen and the pictures that I took.

The next day I went back to the store and they said all that and they initially said that I have to wait another 28 days, while it went for repair. When I said that this was not acceptable, they gave me a full refund of the amount that I had paid and used that to purchase a Pro of Microsoft Surface.

The Microsoft Surface Pro is fast, well doneand more importantly everything works.

  • screen resolution of the remote desktop: fonts and icons of the remote desktop window are so small they can barely read.

    Remote Desktop screen resolution

I've recently upgraded to a Windows 7 laptop from a computer in Office XP.

On my old machine, I use a VPN clent and Remote Desktop connection to use my work computer (my company uses XP on their machines).  If I try to connect from my computer Windows 7, fonts and icons of the remote desktop window are so small they can barely read.  Change display options in the settings of remote desktop doesn't affect the size of the window, not the resolution.

It is a problem because I am stuck using my old system to work remotely.

    Any ideas?

All you have to do is to reduce the resolution of the screen that you use to connect to your Remote Desktop Session.  More the higher resolution and the characters will be on your screen, and when you connect to Remote Desktop.  In my case, I lowered the resolution of my screen to the House for the resolution of the screen in my office.  It works perfectly.  To reduce the resolution follow these steps:

    1. click on start

    2. click on Control Panel

    3. under appearance & personalization - click on adjust screen resolution.  You may get a message indicating that your resolution is not at the optimum, but don't worry you will still be able to see the letters on your screen.
