VPN VPN3000 with Linux

Hello, everyone, I need to set up a VPN Tunnel between VPN 3000 and a Linux box with Red Hat Enterprise 5.5.

I think I use the Cisco VPN Client, but I can't download site web with my account in Cisco Cisco (I don't have a privilege).

Does anyone have a link where I can get the Cisco VPN Client for Linux?

tips are welcome!

Thank you!

Hi Maicon,

If you do not have privileges to access the software from the Download Center, I don't think that we will be able to provide the Setup file of the client VPN here.

If you use a VPN3000 as VPN hub, maybe you could consider using vpnc (a VPN client open source for the K 3).

You should be able to use from your server to connect to the hub.

Kind regards

Nicolas

I recently bought the notebook title mentioned for my studies in computer programming that will require me to dual boot with Linux.
I decided to use Ubuntu and their instructions for upward the dual boot parameters are simple.

However, I heard from people having problems with the settings of the BIOS on other brands when said is finished.
Before I embark on this journey, I want to just make sure that everything is set to avoid problems.

Unfortunately, I have not found much information about Dual boot with Linux and Toshiba L305s.
Other than the basic principles of what I need to do before installing?

I think that a dual boot on the Satellite L305 should not be a problem because you can do it on every laptop or PC.

If you want Ubuntu you should take a look on Wubi

    Hello

AFAIK in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) something like that is not possible. I'm not 100% sure, but something like that is possible in the United States.

  • Tecra R940 - 1 hr: what happens to work out of the box with Linux?

    I'm considering buying a laptop Tecra R940 - 1 hr.
I'm going to use it with linux (ubuntu) system.

What happens to work out of the box?
Should I expect any problems with the display/network/wifi/sound?
What about camera, usb 3.0 and bt?

What is possible to work? Suspend? Function keys? Fingerprint reader? SD reader?

    What's not to work?

I run Ubuntu Studio (12.04) on a Tecra A11-ST3504, and everything works perfectly.

However, your computer probably has the latest UEFI instead of the BIOS, and this causes problems for some with start-up and installation.

If the live system starts and runs, I'd go for it.

I'll put the admins the trouble to make their usual warning: "of course, Linux is not supported by Toshiba."

  • Toshiba laptops work well with Linux?

I'm a big fan of Toshiba, but it's the last time I buy a Toshiba product. Producing none of Toshiba laptops running Linux? Least toshiba engineers could do is to make sure that a live ubuntu cd works on the laptop, to make sure that the fan starts and check maybe even the graphics driver works. If it's the fault of ubuntu then drop a bug in launchpad. As far as I know, none of the new Toshiba laptops have a fan that works properly, don't waste your money.

    > All computers laptop Toshiba work well with Linux?
In General, they work well with Linux. If you see this section of Linux, you'll see that menu use Linux on various models of Toshiba laptops.

Officially, Linux is not supported on Toshiba laptops and it may happen that you will have a few small problems with Toshiba specific things like the multimedia keys.

  • Is a PCI-6120 card in a computer with linux useful for the analog output?

We have a PCI-6120, and we want to use in a computer with linux OS, to the analog inputs and analog outputs.  I have downloaded the driver NOR-DAQmx Base 3.2 for linux, and in the file README.txt only analog input is mentioned for this Council. It is possible to use this card PCI-6120 in linux, with output and analog input computer?

    Best regards

    Hey, Gallas,.

This line in the README file simply refers to the PCI-6120 by its more popular, analog input subsystem (given that it is a simultaneous sampling device, the AI is the most commonly used subsystem). But NEITHER-DAQmx for Linux does not have the same limitations NOR-DAQmx base has. In other words, it supports the ability of analog output on the PCI-6120.

    Kind regards

My HP Pavilion a6400f had problems years ago I installed Ubuntu Linux. Now, getting fed up with linux, I want Windows Vista back. I still have the OEM key. The HP recovery disk allows me to install WIndows?

The recovery set supplied with the computer should find the default computer.  Probably will not even need to enter the key.

Don't forget to patch (probably manually) with SP1 and SP2 after you're done.  Then download the updates (MUCH) released after that.

  • Replace Windows XP with Linux Mint in a Win 7 Multiboot system.

My current setup is a system to multiboot with three partitions on my drive system 0). D/Windows XP, Partition partition E / Data Partition and Partition C/Windows 7. My secondary drive, which is not really from this dialog box has 4 partitions for backups, system, system, and application paging areas and free space. This system works perfectly, with Windows 7 the initial boot process management.

My main goal and the basis of this announcement is to find the best way to replace my Windows XP with Linux Mint partition. Which of the following statements is the most logical, or is it yet another less dangerous path?

    1 install Linux over XP?
Should I clean just format the current XP partition and install Linux Mint top, leaving the windows 7 partition in tact? Will be the start menu still works even if it is Windows 7 really think it offers a startup XP option which in reality would be Linux.

    2. approach Ground Zero?
Should I reformat the drive and set up the three partitions Virgin followed of a clean intall (ouch) of Windows 7, followed a new Linux installation, and then, I'm guessing that installation of Grub to manage the startup process. ? I don't think I can use an image backup file of windows 7 (image for dos) since it will wait for a XP startup option. Windows 7 does not save/restore Win 7 without Win XP.
